Age: 19 as of Book 8 (Birthday: November 21)
Best Subject: Animal Linguistics (tho he is specially intrested in communicating with sea creatures whom Azul maintains as part of the dorm defense system)
Club: Broadcasting Club (founder and in charge of relying annoucments and daily events around school)
Height: 189cm
Hobby: Reading political and mystery novels, crossdressing with new makeup and clothes in secret.
Homeland: Coral Sea
Favorite Food: Crab legs (Intially started eating it to spite Horatio but then ended up loving it)
Unique Magic: One False Step (let's him create eels out of pure magic which latches onto a target and allows Marcel to induce observe defects and amplify them)
Marcel Tidewell is the only son of Malvina Tidewell, the royal governess and chief lady in waiting of the Coralia royal family leading to Marcel to grow alongside the seven princes and his own foster brother Corin as well as Horatio, son of the royal maestro. Tho Marcel dotes deeply on Corin, he pretends to tolerate the other seven princes given most of time while playing he had to keep them in reign epseiclly Rielle. Growing up in the royal court is responsible for Marcel growing up intrigued by politics and dreaming to be a royal diplomat someday tho he often ends up getting carried up by his imagination even now. Marcel tho shared his deepest bonds with Horatio as a kid to something more than friendship. But that changed when Horatio accidentally humiliated him in the royal court in a moment of jealousy by spilling an exotic chemical on Marcel. Marcel never forgave Horatio for that even 6 yrs later cuz not only did he become a laughing stock before foreign dignitaries but also went bald for good (forcing him to rely on wigs). Cue it was also another reason why despite getting admission letters from both schools of Sage's island, he chose to go to NRC. Rielle tho began to secret meetups with him once he joined RSA leading Marcel and Horatio to meet than they want to. Horatio tho never apologized sincerely for that incident thanks to his pride.
Marcel has a pretty good relationship with Azul as business partners even tho Azul defeated him in a duel to become the Octavinelle dorm leader (cuz Azul uses Marble to collect info on Rielle whom Azul despises for his own reasons). Tho Marcel despises both Jade and Floyd for their unpredictablity and using him as bait. Marcel typically hates babysitting his juniors and acts dismissive of them. Yet most of the time it is he and Trey are running to pulling the first yrs of their dorms out of danger.
