r/UETT

Welcome to r/UETT — The Official Community for UET Taxila Students, Alumni & Faculty! 🎓⚙️
Hey everyone! I'm founding moderator of r/UETT.
Whether you are a wide-eyed fresher stepping onto campus for the first time, a current student grinding through lab reports and midterms, an alumnus navigating the industry or academia, or a respected member of our faculty
this is our shared space.
We created r/UETT to bridge the gap across all batches and departments: a central, candid, and constructive hub for everything happening inside and beyond the university walls.
What to Post & Discuss
Freshers & Admissions: Questions on merit lists, hostel allotments (Q-Hall to Ayesha Hall), CMS/LMS setups, transport routes, and surviving your first semester.
Current Students: Academic survival guides, CEP/FYP troubleshooting, past papers, lab insights, society events, internships, and campus life snapshots.
Alumni Network: Career trajectories, industry advice, master's/PhD scholarship applications (Erasmus, Fulbright, DAAD, etc.), job openings, and nostalgic throwbacks to Taxila days.
Faculty & Research: Announcements for ongoing research projects, technical seminars, student competitions, final year project mentorship, and departmental insights.
Campus Culture & Projects: Highlighting student innovations, robotics competitions, engineering designs, photography, and general discussions.
Community Standards
Respect & Constructive Tone: Lively debate and honest critiques are always welcome, but respect toward fellow students, seniors, alumni, and faculty is mandatory.
No Doxxing or Harassment: Protect everyone’s privacy. Keep discussions professional and focused on ideas and campus matters.
Share Genuine Value: If you have notes, project guides, or career opportunities, share them forward to lift the next batch up.
How to Get Started
Introduce Yourself: Drop a comment below with your department, entry year, or status (e.g., '20 Mechanical Alum, '24 Electrical Fresher, Faculty - Civil).
Share or Ask: Got a question about course registration, a technical problem on your FYP, or advice on job hunting? Start a thread today!
Spread the Word: Invite your batchmates, lab partners, society members, and alumni networks to grow this community.
Join the Mod Team: If you're passionate about building an active, well-organized engineering community on Reddit, send a modmail or DM to apply.
Welcome aboard, and let’s make r/UETT the most resourceful engineering hub out there!
