Conflicted

I need an honest opinion about UMW. I’m a hs senior who’s recently just recently committed and found a roommate to start UMW next year. Just this week, a school that was previously my first choice offered me additional merit that now makes it my cheapest school by over 10k a year, and UMW my most expensive as I’m OOS. I don’t know what to do bc I think part of my only picked UMW for the campus and I’m really considering changing my decision but idk if it’s worth it as I’m alr so far in. I’m hoping for honest opinions on if this school is worth it. For reference I’m a POC female whose interested in theatre, the radio station, pre-law, potentially joining a sorority and being able to attend an occasional party (for which I know UMW doesn’t have really) I think if the other school had UMWs campus I would have picked it but I’m not sure! Please help!!

Question: Best dorms for transfer?

Hi! I'm 22F and I'm transferring to UMW this fall semester and am looking for a good dorm near my classes. As a Classics Major, I'm assuming most of my classes will be at James Farmer Hall.

I haven't gotten to go to the campus yet to explore, work and life keep getting in the way and I won't be able to go till after my housing paperwork needs to be in so I was wondering which hall is best? I would prefer to be with people around my age and suite style bathroom; I don't care if it's co-ed or not. Is there a particular hall that would be best suited to me?

thoughts on comms/digital studies major?

Hello everyone! I am transferring to UMW this fall after getting my associates degree at germanna and I have had my mind set on English for a while. Recently, however I had a realization that I don’t think English will set me on track to the right type of career Id like to go for. I am interested in film and media and envisioned myself in that industry but I always thought going for some type of writing degree would help me towards that. I also have a passion for comedy and would love to generally enter the entertainment industry in general. Started looking into communications and digital studies and it seems a little more aligned with my career goals. Any thoughts on this major? Other opportunities I can go for with it? Are the professors good? Any general input and information would be helpful. I am super curious!
