Hello!

I’ve been accepted into UNCW as a communications major, I saw the black student population and I’m considering doing another year of CC then transferring to a more diverse institution. But before I do, I wanted to ask if the UNCW racism is overwhelming like I’ve heard and if it’s worth trying at least a semester (I lowkey really don’t want to).

I’m an incoming freshman and want to know what classes you guys recommend. I’m open to many classes, but preferably ones that I can make new friends and aren’t insanely difficult. I am majoring in business if that helps.

Hey guys, my band, Kids Table is considering playing in Wilmington and are looking for a supporting act to play at Reggie's. Anyone know of any cool up and coming bands in the area/UNCW bands we should consider adding to the bill?

We are indie pop/rock (you can check us out on socials/streaming here) and graduated from chapel hill a few years ago so we have some NC pull but probably want a local act and always love new bands. Thanks!

I'm accepted into UNCW for this upcoming fall, and I just had a few questions

I’ve heard some mixed things about the nightlife/party scene — specifically, some people saying it’s somewhat limited compared to other schools. I just wanted to get a realistic idea of how true that actually is. What is the bar/party scene really like for students? I’m 21, so I can also go out to bars if that changes anything.

Also, separate question — I’m living off campus as a transfer student. How hard is it to get connected and meet people?

I’m an incoming UNCW student this fall, and I’m starting to look into housing. Does anyone know if there are still apartments near campus available, and if so, which ones tend to have mostly UNCW students?

I’m also currently looking for a roommate, ideally another UNCW student, so if anyone is in the same situation or has an open room, feel free to reach out.

I’d really appreciate any advice or info.

My daughter is an incoming freshman and is getting some photos taken this weekend. She’d love to have a pennant for some of the pics. Looks like the student store is closed on weekends? But are there any other local stores that might sell something like that? Thanks!

Hey, I’m a business management transfer student trying to choose between Coastal Carolina University and the University of North Carolina Wilmington. They’re around the same price for me, and I’m equally interested in both.

Which school would you recommend?
