Hi all, hoping for some insight from anyone who’s gone through EB-3 sponsorship or agency hiring for nursing roles.

I’m an RN (with an active NY license) applying for a hemodialysis nursing position in the US through an agency, with EB-3 visa sponsorship. I interviewed back in April, and it’s now July with no offer or rejection.

I’ve followed up once. The recruiter said they’re “waiting to hear from the legal team.” My application status in their portal still shows “in process,” not closed or rejected.

This might be a stupid question, but I wanted to confirm with those who have already completed biometrics. Did you fill out the Applicant Information Worksheet (AIW) on the second page of the appointment notice before arriving at the ASC, or is it supposed to be completed with the officer during the appointment?

I am fairly new to the process. I am in USA with PD of last month.

I know it’s been only a month but moving forward, is there any app/website to check my status? Or check if any audit?

P.S: I have an attorney on board.

My PD is August 2025 but I filed AOS April 21st. My i485 changed to actively being reviewed and FTA1 code. What does this mean?

My last update on i765 was June 3rd. Most of the updates have on i485. Any one had something similar happen?

So my i485J was approved.

My 485 case is pending with these details- RD : October 23,2020. PD October 30,2013 EB 3 India. Current status - biometrics applied. no movement in last 6 months- no rfe nothing. anyone in same boat? Emma says my case is with Charlotte FO since last 4 months..

Hello everyone,

My employment-based green card was approved on June 16, 2026, after been working for the same company for about 4.5 years and I received the physical card on June 26.

I'm thinking about leaving my company in September, which would be about three months mark after my green card approval. I'm wondering if that could cause any issues from an immigration standpoint?

Has anyone been in a similar situation or have any knowledge or experience with this? I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts and suggestions on this.

I’m trying to understand, what is there actually that takes months to get decision after i485 interview. Some applications get decision very next day some take months. I believe interviewing officer gets everything needed at interview .

It was shut down end of June and the GC was based on EB3 but employer shut down end of june

Got 2 FTAO and 1 IAF in i1485
And
Got 3 FTAO and 1 IAF in i765
What does this mean ?

Nowadays its become so hard waitong for your i140 to be approved especially regular processing for Eb3, many people become current but unapproved i140, its so much freaking lazy for guys dealing with these cases,
Any leads to any maybe improvements fast approaching ?

Hi everyone,
I have an EB-3 unskilled I-485 interview coming up soon. I received my I-765 EAD about a month ago, but I have not started working for the sponsoring company yet.
I am currently working on F-1 OPT and do not want to leave/drop my OPT because I am worried about the risk if the EB-3 interview does not go well.
Has anyone been in a similar situation where they had an EB-3 interview but had not started working for the sponsor yet? Did it affect your interview, and how did it go?

As F1, I got my OPT EAD and already in the process of AOS. If 485 EAD comes soon, should I drop F1 EAD and continue with 485 EAD or just maintain F1 EAD? PD Oct 2025

Current status: F1/F2 waiting for H1B petition (COS) premiun processing filed 06/16/2026.

I think probably 07/03/2026 updates are due to H1B petition being linked to my case?

How many slient update did you get before cases transfered to field office?

I just hope that at least my case get to field office..

Me and my husband also got our EADs approved within 24 hours after biometrics on 06/30. I had also applied for AP and was hoping for a combo card but I got a standalone card. Anyways it’s just a miracle. Al Hamdulillah. Did anyone else get their EADs approved so fast?

I had to resubmit my AOS application due to payment issue on June 18th, i got the e notification on june 22 that case was received and receipt notice was sent, but i have not received it in the mail yet. My case did show up on my USCIS account with the receipt numbers. I did move and change my address on June 22nd as well and i don’t know if that is the reason i didn’t receive it yet. But i did the address change on through uscis and it is correctly listed on my uscis account. Usually i am able to aced the receipt notice pdf on my uscis account but there is nothing there just the receipt number and stating that it was sent out. My lawyers stated that they didn’t receive anything yet, i also checked with my old apartment to see if it was sent there. Anyone else experienced the same thing?

Hi everyone,

I noticed simultaneous silent updates on both my I-485 and I-485J about 20 days after biometrics. The updatedAt timestamps are only 44 milliseconds apart, so they appear to have been updated together.

There were:
No new event codes
No RFEs
No new notices
No public status change

My I-765 and I-131 were not updated—only the I-485 and I-485J.

I also chatted with Emma today, and the agent confirmed:
My case is still at NBC
My interview is currently marked as waived
Nothing is outstanding on my case

Has anyone else had simultaneous silent updates on both the I-485 and I-485J?

What did it end up meaning?
What happened next?
How long did it take before you saw another update or approval?

I have seen people getting approved from 2024 PD. It’s so frustrating.
