Tampa Florida wingstop (fowler)

I have something I wanna share about this location later on today that involves the fact that this store is about to be under 2 stars.
They don’t follow through on orders. Flies and roaches all over the store.
Terrible management.
They also just lost THEIR BEST COOK ever at the location, food is about to worse than ever.
This store is also paying their employees under the minimum wage.
If you order well done here , expect soggy wings because they’re trying to push a SOS time or they flat out don’t care about the order being well done.
I could really go on and on about this location but ima share more later.
Obviously if you’re in Florida… plan to visit Florida.
NEVER EVER go to this store , go to the bears ave wingstop location in Tampa, foods better , store is cleaner but a sexist white male manager works there unfortunately. Food wise? Head there though.

Hi everyone,

You are recommended to take part in the 'AI Use in College Learning Survey.' This study will help us learn more about the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in your college learning process and the role that these tools shape your academic experiences.

This research is being conducted with a professor in Ocean County College.

This survey is voluntary; if you decide to take part in this survey, you will be asked to answer eighteen (18) questions (17 multiple-choice questions and one short response question), which will take around 10-15 minutes to complete.

You can find the survey here:

- By clicking this link AI Use in College Learning Survey, to access it directly.

- By copying and pasting this URL https://forms.gle/ZubsCJabNRVLpVhA7.

If you are not currently enrolled in any college or university, then you are not advised to take part in this survey. Nevertheless, you are encouraged to share this survey with an eligible respondent.

Before responding here are some important things to note before attempting the survey.

The questions included will be related to:

  • Your academic background (only includes your age group, academic level, and area of study)
  • Frequency of AI tools used and which tools you use
  • Uses of AI in your academic studies
  • Your opinions about the use of AI tools in learning and academic achievements
  • View about academic integrity and concerns related with the use of AI tools

Please note that:

  • All data you provided will be kept confidential and will not identify you in any way.
  • Only information related to your age, academic level, and your major will be collected.
  • Information including your email, name, gender, where you study, and other sensitive information will not be collected.
  • The software 'Google Forms' will require you to sign in for you to complete the survey; we will not collect your email addresses.
  • You have the option to skip certain questions and leave the survey at any time you want, and there will be no consequences for you if you decide not to answer the questions.
  • You will not be entered into any draws for prizes. There is no financial incentive to complete this survey.

We appreciate your time and cooperation.

Regards,

A student from Ocean County College

USF Directors Award, false Non-Renewal Warning

USF Directors Award, false Non-Renewal Warning GPA

I just got an email this morning about the USF Directors award warning me that my GPA was below 3.0 and that the award may not be renewed. However, that does not apply to me per confirming with my grades listed in myUSF for all recent terms. Can anyone else (who has Directors award and currently taking summer classes) confirm if they also received this email in error? Would not be the first time that USF financial aid mass sent false non-renewal warnings.. they are starting to look quite incompetent

UPDATE: my error, i failed to consider the annual credit requirement of 30

Graduation

So I’m like 96% done with my degree. I have four classes left total (3 in the fall, literally one left for spring ‘27). What I was wondering is if it’s possible to graduate this fall, even having one class left to do in the spring. Not sure if the class left over is a capstone but taking it in the fall is out of the question, as one of the fall courses is a pre-req for the class in the spring.

(serious answers plz) is one person responsible for wearing the rocky costume, or do multiple people rotate wearing it?

I saw a tiktok of UofSC doing a mascot reveal at the graduation. I also saw a comment saying the costume wearer gets a scholarship for being the mascot. Is that the same at USF?

i’ve only seen rocky in person once and wondered who’s inside, like if it were a student or a staff member, and if it was only one persons responsibility to wear the costume and make appearances at games and also appear throughout the school. just curious wondering!

Avalon Heights

Is it only me or why does work start at 8:30 or 9 in the morning even in the fricking summer. Like they’re genuinely not letting us sleep. Lived at Avalon Heights for a year now and these fuck ass people decide to start working in the morning when everyone’s sleeping. Is this normal everywhere?

Music producers??

Does anybody in this city produce? Ive been trying to find music producers here for a year and it seems they are nowhere to be found. Only top tier professionals but no amateurs to connect with here. It makes the hobby/profession a lot more lonesome with nobody in the area that seems to enjoy it as much as I do. Even if you dont produce where would anybody suggest going to find or meet some? I dont know a single USF student who produces music beyond a very beginner level (which is fine but not ideal) and I have inquired to so many people about this topic. Please help 🙏

Transfer vent. Anyone else have this???

I applied as a transfer from a state community college in March for the fall term. 4.0, got my degree in 2 semesters. I know now that I applied a bit late (thank you CC advisors,) but I still didn't really think it would take this long. I had an email saying my transcripts were received by USF a day after I sent them, so I thought great! It shouldn't take too long.

After 4 weeks of my portal saying they hadn't gotten my transcripts yet, I called, spoke to a lady who told me that they had my transcripts, but to wait another 2 weeks for them to process. Soo I called at 6 weeks, spoke to another lady who said transcripts take 2-3 weeks. I said okay well it's been 6. She hung up on me shortly after. I was then hung up on another 3 times, before finally getting someone else. I told her my same issue, where are my transcripts, and within 5 minutes she went through and manually accepted them. Ok. At least now on my portal it says they've received them. She said I didn't have to submit anything else and there were no issues.

This was about 2 weeks or so ago and I have not received any acceptance. I get it takes time, but man. Did any other transfers run into a problem like this?? I was kind of surprised they sat on my transcripts for so long and I had to call to do anything about it. How long did it take you guys? Stressed about my classes and housing options this late.

Greek Life?

I will be starting at USF as a freshman soon. I have never really thought about Greek life and joining a sorority, and don't know much about it. What is Greek life like at USF, is it fun, do they give a lot of opportunities that you couldn't get otherwise, does it make it easier than just joining a bunch of clubs to make friends? I've also heard of bad things that can happen within Greek Life. Are there many "horror" stories that have happened in USF greek life?

P.S. I will be doing more research because I literally know nothing about Greek Life whatsoever.

Summer Financial Aid Refund

Hii, so i’m registered for summer B and C classes, 12 credits total, and I see how much I’m expected to get back. But i’m wondering when should I expect it. After the add/drop period for summer C or B? and will I get the full amount at the same time or will it be split?

interesting anthropology classes that are still easy

Does anyone know of any good anthropology courses to take? I'm not majoring in it, but I am just looking to learn something different. Preferably ones that cover religion, culture, etc, but I'm open to all. I just don't want to have to write papers or do presentations if that's possible.

Also if you've take the class before can you please describe what kind of assignments are given?

Cum Laude

I might be getting a little too ahead of myself but It's always been one of my goals to reach Summa Cum Laude in highschool, but I missed it by a small margin. My goal is to make at least a 3.8 or a 4.0 in college as someone who'll be studying biomedical sciences (I'm skipping a few classes because of my credits) And I was just wondering how relatively difficult it was. I'm obviously not going to goof off and put in the work, but I was watching the class of 2026 graduation and didn't notice a whole lot of seniors with this distinction.

Community work ?

Hi everyone! I’m an international student and back home I used to volunteer with an organization that distributed food to homeless people. It was something really meaningful to me and I’d love to get involved in community work again here.

I’m currently affiliated with Moffitt, and I was wondering if there are any volunteer organizations or associations around Tampa helping patients/children, cancer patients, hospitals, or similar causes. I’d really love to get involved and give back, so I’d appreciate any recommendations :)

Federal Work Study

Hi!! I’m a c/o ‘30 bull coming to usf in the fall and was offered a federal work study as part of my financial aid package and im a little confused about it. The work study would give me $7000 ($3500/semester) and im confused if i get that money first then have to do the hours to pay it off or if i will be given a job that will give me pay up to that amount. Could any students doing the work study share their experience and how it works? Thank you!
