how’s everyone feeling about the loss of the sarasota-manatee campus? i know i specifically moved over here for this campus, and disappointed doesn’t even cover it. it’ll definitely be weird attending for fall classes with new college there.
and question for anyone who is current student/staff, what’s going on with the parking permits? do we still purchase one from usf?

So I'm going into my final semester. I am registered for four courses. When I go into student self service I still haven't received an aid package because it says my loan limit needs reviewed. And that it will be reviewed but no timeline or anything. When I called they just said it will be reviewed when it's reviewed and to not worry about it but obviously I am worried because classes start next week lol anyone else dealing with this?
I am a graduate student so loans only and still nothing! Classes start monday and i am stressing!
I have deferment but the refund is very important for my books and expenses so im worried that the tuition deferment is going to delay everything… I really need this refund by 9/2 😭 anyone else in the same boat?

I’m working while going to school, and since I commute to campus, going back and forth in the middle of the workday isn’t really an option. So I plan to have my workday there, and just walk to class.
I recently transferred to USF, so I’m still getting familiar with campus and would really appreciate any recommendations. Thank you!
I got a 1360 SAT score and a 5.3GPA and I just found out about the green and gold scholarship that USF has. I am now a sophomore (I was admitted summer 2025). Is there any way I can still sign up for that? Thank you :))

I'm worried about my ability to make friends during my first semester. I have a really low social battery so it can be kinda hard for me to really get out there and make friends. I major in psychology but I plan on switching to communications. I really like video games but never have anyone to play with, and I really like doing art or just random side quests.

For anyone who goes to this school, how is the going-out/party scene? Is there usually something to do on weekends, like bars, clubs, house parties, etc.? Is it easy to meet people and find a group to go out with, or is the social scene pretty quiet?
