Why are you drivers accepting these orders?
I live in Houston, it’s almost impossible to have a 33% acceptance rate. Who would know? I would know, I’ve been driving a few years now. Some odd 18,000 deliveries between 2 apps.
I tried this challenge last week, I failed, but I NEVER delivered to a bad part of town, or an order under $6 and rarely do $6 orders. Usually $7 and up. I am 100% confident that my orders pay more for me, have me go to better areas, spend less time waiting where I will get a good order without having to drive back. I know my restaurants. Willing to post orders I have done to show you otherwise and show you I make MORE than you driving less.
This isn’t arrogance, just straight facts, you can only do 2-3 orders in an average hour on average. $3 extra per order and bad areas to drive back from wasted time and gas. Yeah stop doing these, Uber made it so you would and one day I promise you these incentives will be gone.
Uber Acts Like We’re All Blind
They pretty much like to act like we can’t see the offers given to us and difference between tier offers. Because of the quests I had gotten back into Diamond and orders were so-so for weeks. They started spamming me with bullshit late into the last couple quests this knocked me back down to Gold.
Offers were like night and day. I was getting far superior orders back in Gold. Slowly worked my way back up to Diamond again and first order was an “exclusive” 12 mile, $12 order and it was 95% either long distance, shit pay or both all night last night. Even quests were far superior in Gold.
Unless the market is consistently busy with great orders then Uber just treats us like the rubes the hardcore cherry pickers says tier chasers are and it’s hard to disagree lately. The amount of $1.50-$2 orders offered last night was just insulting and with every restaurant being slow as hell it sure didn’t help with it.
Looks like rainy season in the Southeast - what’s it like for y’all in the rain?
Lowe’s Orders $
wow, I think Uber is realizing that they actually have to pay people for them to pick up Lowe’s orders.
Is it important to get this up? If so, how can I do that? Out of 300 orders, only 31 have rated me at all
Customer canceled order so I gave it to the next customer. What would you do?
So, I picked up an order from shake shack and wasn’t much just a chicken sandwich and some fries and as soon as I picked it up, the customer canceled. Immediately after I get an order request for a nearby place so I picked it up and then dropped it off at a hotel and left the guy both bags of food with a message about the previous customer canceling.
I got a $10 extra tip on top of an $8 tip so that was pretty cool. I’m happy I did it because I only eat halal meat so wouldn’t have ate it anyways. Also, I’m new and in need of thumbs up lol.
Would you have done the same? Or what do u do when a customer canceled order and you don’t want the food?
I like getting orders like this when im about to get off lol. This take me right near my home😅. Normally i dont accept anything like this but when im going home imma take it. Might as well get paid to go home then to go empty handed.
Would you continue to deliver?
Middle of nowhere. Concrete road ends. Customer not answering. Pin required.
31$ for 10 mile order.
What’s restaurant(s) are on you guy’s blacklist?
definitely Burger King and McDonald’s…the Burger King in my area is so ghetto and hires any old crackhead off the street to work there. McDonald’s is so slow and the employees always ignore you, and most of the time items are missing from the bag. I can’t tell yall how many times customers called me talking about items are missing, I told them we can’t go in sealed bags and that yall need to take that up with the restaurant and uber eats. Also the Taco Bell in my area is SLOW ASF!! But I do get a lot of good tip orders from them especially late at night, so i haven’t blacklisted them lol. OH and wingstop, I almost forgot lol they’re legendary for being slow and sorry as hell.
Is it desperate and pathetic of me to ask for someone to give me a thumbs up??
I'm new so I don't have too much customer feedback, but I did have one aggressive customer that gave me a thumbs down and now I'm at 94%.
She literally threw the bag at me because it was late. The restaurant was the one that didn't start making the order until I got there but the customer thought it was my fault it was late. I reported her to Uber Eats but they said they can't do anything about customer feedback.
I'm wondering what I need to do to get back to 95%. Any suggestions would be great! Definitely a lesson learned for this newbie!
Had the worst order of my life
I got an order for Taco Bell to an apartment complex, it was a big complex with like 50+ buildings and all the buildings had the same numbers for ex 100-107,200-207. Every single apartment. the customer just added the apt number to the notes and not the building number. I thought I was At the right door at first but it wasn't. I had to go back and fourth texting the customer trying to figure out where they're at. They were going off on me for not knowing. I asked for their building number and they said they DIDNT KNOW. it got to the point to where Uber cancelled the order their selves.
Is im the only one think its financially irresponsible to buy a brand new 2026 to do doordash/ue?
TLDR: So I met a dasher while doing Uber Eats that DoorDash full time like I do, and me and him have sparked up a conversation on how busy it is, how my day's going, etc. So he did ask me what type of car I drive. I told him a 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid with 368k miles. I told him that I bought this car for 1.5k last year in January because I wanted a second car to DoorDash part time, because I didn't want to use my newer car, my 2019 Hyundai Sonata Sport Limited, for dashing part time anymore and let my fiancée drive that car. And also told him that I did lose my primary job in March of last year, so I decided to do this full time. Made 66k off this car while driving 20k miles and did nothing to this car but change the oil 4 times, and that's it. And I do my own maintenance, so I'm saving a lot in labor.
Then I asked him what type of car he drives. He told me that he just bought a 2026 Toyota Prius Hybrid because he didn't want no old car and think it's better to work in a newer car than an old car. I told him that's slightly irresponsible because you're paying a lot of money for that car like insurance, car note, and your depreciation is gonna be very, very bad. He told me that I didn't know what I'm talking about because I'm too young to understand. I'm 24 and I know that's even dumb. Is I'm the only one that think this or no?
Everytime I get a order paying over $20 it gets canceled when im halfway there.
Who else does this constantly happen too? And no im not taking forever to drive there once i get the order i immediately start heading that way.
Positive Thoughts Anyone
We all have plenty complaints. I was thinking maybe we can make a list of positive things to keep our spirits up when it comes to Ubereats.
Me first.
I'll take the easy one,
Work your own schedule and have freedom.
First day delivering went well
I finally decided to fiver Uber Eats a try and am glad I did. Just 6 deliveries that were less than 2 miles each. I started off slow just to get the feel of things, learn the app, read instructions, etc. All of them tipped very well and I didn’t have to speak to anyone. I hope every day is like this. I won’t quit my regular job but am glad to have this as a side hustle. Can’t wait to do this again.
What the helly? Im already doing a order for 15 bucks for 3 miles already picking up at this same place. I accepted to see if its ready and surely it was but the restaurant staff told me it was sitting there for 30 mins. I canceled right away lol.
Here's a tip for cancelled orders.

Received an order today that was $9.41 for a 20 minute trip that was 3.5~ miles. Once I picked up the food and began driving I noticed that the GPS was taking me to another address that was over 4x the distance away.
I called support and after being on hold and talking to them for 15 minutes they said, deliver to the new address and we'll provide you an unknown compensation once it's complete.
I spend 10 minutes driving to the location and then notice the trip was cancelled and their details said "Delivery logistics failure" so I call support again.
New support says we don't know if the customer or support cancelled the trip, but there would be ZERO compensation and you can continue taking orders. It had taken an hour at this point from the acceptance of the order.
I've neve done it before but I asked to speak with a manager. They put me on hold for awhile and returned with "due to call volume the manager is busy", I told them I would wait and eventually they found one free. The manager reiterated there was no compensation. I complained further and they said they would credit the original offer amount. I complained further that they should provide whatever the total would have been for the address changd and they eventually gave in to a $15.00 courtesy adjustment.
