Uber stealing again

Uber stealing again

On June 21st, I got an order for a pizza place, $18 and change for 9 miles (eh, that's alright) and it was a $700 order with 28 full items (bread sticks, pizzas, salads, etc). Biggest order I've had in years. I was already having a bad day, so when I delivered, I meant to ask "is there a cash tip?" because $16 is only like a 2% tip. I legitimately never ask that sort of thing and this was the exception. I was a bit more of a jerk than I meant to be, and when I told the recipient (and party) what I was getting, they were getting mad at me and at Uber, and wanted to call Uber to sort it out because the main guy says he tipped $30, let alone the other people on the order who tipped. Of course it was "delayed earnings" and I already had another offer to get to. So I've been watching it on the app since, and I just got paid out. $2. That's it. I'm going to give Uber a call later, but I needed to get this out and if anyone has any strategies on getting my fair pay from this, I'd appreciate it.

Empty restaurant

Restaurant is empty, took me like 20 minutes to get there and the order isn’t bagged or is still not ready. These places don’t value our time at all. I’m getting sick of this. Truly.

Wish we could rate customers.

TL;DR:

Alcohol delivery. No id. Wanted me to wait for food delivery before she got id. We should be able to rate customers.

-----‐--‐--------------------------------

I think it's only fair that customers can rate us, we should be able to do the same. Uber drivers can rate passengers. Why is this different?

Had an alcohol delivery tonight to a high rise. It was an older woman. I asked for ID to scan and she gave me a look. She said in an annoyed voice, "Really?? My birthday is blah blah blah"

I explained that I have to see the id and scan the barcode to deliver. She was on a scooter and said that she'd have to go all the way up to her apartment to get it. She asked me to go with her, so she didn't have to come back down and i said sure.

Then she immediately changes her mind and says, but I'm waiting for a food order too. I don't want to miss that so we will wait. I told her I cannot wait there for her other delivery to show up. Finally she relented, and went to get her ID but asked me to stay in the lobby to keep an eye out for her food delivery.

Like wtf. First of all, you know you need ID for alcohol deliveries. Secondly, how little care for my time and livelihood do you have that you thought it would be okay to make me wait until your food was delivered?

A rating system would allow other drivers and me in the future decide if this person is an order we want to accept. Maybe it would force more customers to treat us like humans and with common decency.

Heads up

Does anyone else send this type of heads up messages? Less than half of the customers even respond, but when I have been that no other drivers let them know about this kind of thing.

Uber Eats has reached a new all-time low: repeatedly offering the same order while only upping the pay by pennies at a time

Words cannot describe how disgusting and unacceptable this is. My acceptance rate has dropped to 2% today and will probably be at 1% by end of day. Look at the time in the top corner to see just how frequently I’m getting this same offer. And look at how at some point I get it offered to me again at a penny less instead of more.

I have been repeatedly screenshotting this particular order, but have been offered other orders multiple times as well so it’s been compounding. Yesterday I had posted about getting the same order multiple times until all of a sudden the trip value double or tripled and others said they experienced the same; today it looks like they tweaked the system to only up the offer by pennies until some poor dumb or desperate soul finally decides to take it.

The repeated pinging is annoying enough, but seeing the same order for an insulting amount of money over and over again makes me want to rage quit. Fuck this company for thinking they can do this to us and get away with it.

Did anyone get the 1000$

I’m curious to see if uber is actually giving people this 1000 dollars or if it’s just a ploy to make us work harder? lol has anyone ever did this and actually received a payout of 1000$?

This is why my acceptance rate is 2%

the original screen recording was 1 minute and 42 seconds long so I cut it for times sake, but all of these orders were within 1 minute and 42 seconds.
Yesterday I Uber eats for 6 hours and I had never seen so many terrible orders. There were also great orders, but they go to parts I don’t want to go to in the city. The orders in my area are always constant, but I have never seen this many terrible order. Did anyone else experience this yesterday?

Sometimes, there are exceptions to the "never accept a $3 order rule"

I literally live down the street and was going home in that direction.

Drugged out lady ordered a single seltzer water.

Did the restaurant miss anything??

I don't know. Did it? I can only see there is sometimes a receipt but I don't know if everything that is supposed to be in there, is in there. I am unnaturally enraged with that question 😠

I just left a comment in another Sub that I have to hope the bag they give me with no receipt or name actually is my person's order. 😳

Why do I have to eat a cancellation rate ding?

Pretty new to uber. Got a delivery that I was told I was the 7th driver to show up for. This has happened more than once and is getting really annoying.

Why do I get fucked by it tho?

Can I stop the same delivery being sent to me multiple times?

I’m in week 2 of delivering and have learned a lot from this community. I’m trying to do my part and only accept reasonable offers. However, this morning I got the same offer sent to me 5 times. It’s was $6 to go 22miles. Worst part is, they only increased the offer to $7 over the 5 times. Is my only option to go offline when they do that? It was literally the only offer I was getting and I live in a large city.

Can anything be done here or I’m outta luck?

Originally the shop and pay delivery order showed up as $19.09 - customer reduced the tip to $0.01

I communicated every step of the way with customer. Offered replacements for items out of stock, informed them on my etas, and I honestly can’t think of any reason why the customer would do this.

Thoughts?
