She was upset with me because Cumberland Farms stopped serving hot food after midnight. Before I even collected the order, I contacted her to inform her of the situation, but she turned off her phone without responding. Furthermore, she had a ten-item order from 7-Eleven and attempted to cancel it only after I had driven twenty minutes to reach her.
Not sure why it didn’t post initially. I got a call shortly after accepting this order with the classic asking for information to get your account. Hung up on them and then got the text from the “customer“. They never canceled so I picked up the order and then got the additional messages before I even arrived. of course it was a pin with no possible bypass, but I was close enough to start the counter and once the timer ran out, I left the order at the door.
Not trying to spam the same stuff from yesterday but they added another task which pays 20$ ??? But we all get cheap base pay all day ? How does that make sense ?
Had to ask support for help because the self checkout didn't print a receipt for whatever reason, they gave me an address in New Mexico while I was in northern Colorado. The trip was originally for $5 and I said absolutely not
Believe it or not, Uber actually used to be a decent gig but that was years ago before all the bullshit changes and relying entirely on a poverty wage algorithm to calculate rate for time) distance. Back when AR didn't matter in order to have Gold+ perks, the best of which is the free ASU benefit. I was all set to sign up having taken my 2000 trips and keeping my rating good. Then last year right before the fall semester started Uber quietly added AR criteria and 30% no less which is why I'm no longer able to qualify. I tried my best to get my rate higher as it was down to 1% plenty of times. It's simple, with gas prices at all time highs, and not having a 50 mpg hybrid, offers need to be at minimum $2 per mile. Really should be higher but you won't ever get anything if you wait for more. Highest I ever got was 24% and that was last week. I thought I might have a change to get to 30 and be able to sign up for ASU finally, but their "make us rich and drivers poor_ algorithm must've realized I was close and literally sent me nothing but insulting poverty stricken offers even a homeless man wouldn't accept. And just like that I'm back down to 10%. Tired of the bullshit and all the apps suck really which is why I wanted to do school without going into crippling debt with student loans. Just wondering how TF the ones over 30% do it. U absolutely must be paying to go to work if you are accepting the shit I've been sent. I mean people have bills so can't be accepting 18 mile each way for $6 offers just to increase AR so please enlighten me how you do it. Thanks and Fuck Uber
The story is a couple days old...Surprised I didn't see it here already. Probably very good news, as EZCater works with third-party catering companies like DeliverThat, Dlivrd, etc. to fulfill these high value orders, so those catering orders will ultimately flow directly to highly rated UberEats drivers. EZCater also works with UberEats' arch-rival, DoorDash, so this deal means that all of those DoorDash catering orders will also come here, as Uber has no reason to help it's competitor.
Although the integration won't happen immediately, it's definitely good news for us. My guess is that these catering orders will go to the highest rated Diamond drivers, but I guess we'll just have to see.
Literally had a shop and deliver order, nothing too out of the ordinary. Guy orders a couple things so I message him to try to go the extra mile and find him the best items possible. We have a little kiki together all fun. I have a hard time finding the items so I have to go get help(with my social anxiety ass). Then me and the worker are walking around together shooting the shit too. Find out it’s out of stock :( all good because we come to a replacement!
Imagine my shock when I realize an hour later he tipped me $50 for his $20 shopping order! Ugh kind man, if you’re out there. I hope you know how much I appreciate you!! I love conversing with my customers and trying to go above and beyond🫶

Tonight a female customer undressed as she came to the door. Her window was wide open. She opened the door in panties and a bra. I’m not trying to stereotype, but I’m pretty sure she was a trying to get me to make content with her.
She opened the door all the way instead of sticking her hand out how most customers do.

It’s like Uber flipped a switch. For 3 days straight I’ve gotten about one offer an hour, and every single one has been an insult, not worth my time. I normally see 6-10 offers an hour, and at least one good one in that hour. Now the good ones are gone completely.
Today I was at Starbucks with an Uber order sitting on the counter for 10 minutes, and I never even received the offer. It sat there the whole time.
Support’s answer: “Everything looks good on your account, you’ll receive good offers when they come in.” Wtf does that even mean?
I started at 6 am. It’s 4:06 pm and I’m in a really busy area. I’ve spent $20 to make $40 all day.
Stupid fuckin old lady blowing up the messages "Is my pizza Hot and Fresh?" Over and over, telling me the last delivery it wasn't. I knew I should of safety issued the order, I just KNEW she was gonna fucking complain about it. It wasn't even a cheap order too, 10 dollars but God forbid you don't bend over backwards for some of these entitled ass people. Maybe learn to use an oven and just yanno...WARM IT BACK UP?
Uber has significantly lowered the trip pay. There are many times rides are a charity for Uber now. They are doing a media push of all the new "reduced cost benefits". These perks/benefits are not free but cost less than normal due to Uber subsidizing the full cost. This is Uber justification to lower our pay. However, they know that when a driver or employee has to still pay a portion for a perk they likely will opt out. Thus they capture all the extra money at the end of the year that was "allocated" for the perks that has an "overage in savings". These overages in savings turn into the directors' board and investors' board end of the year bonuses and performance dividends. Making Uber's stock rise due to outperforming expectations while we are underperforming in our households bills. We should be able to opt out of these "perks" and directly see a credit on our trips or an end of the month reimbursement equivalent to the amount of trips we successfully completed. This is insulting to offer $2, $3, $4 for trips when "A" Gallon of gas is $4.52. We need extra cash not brain cells.
