Post-Op umbilical cord hernia laparoscopic repair - Recovery

I am one week post-op today. The first few days were quite rough, but that was to be expected. Now I am able to get up from the bed and toilet on my own, walk around, but still do need assistance showering. I’m feeling a bit better every day, but I Have not left the house or gotten dressed out of my pajamas. As you can imagine, I’m starting to go a little bit crazy.

My surgeon said it’s a six week recovery so I am counting down, five more weeks until I can pick up and hold my babies again. While my partner is doing a great job holding things together I can’t help but feel frustrated that I’m unable to do the things I normally do like bath my kids, makes meals, clean, go for walks, etc. We also have family helping, which is great, but that’s starting to bother me too. I don’t want a full house when I’m trying to heal. And I’d like to keep our kids schedule on track, as things are already thrown off with me not being so hands on.

I know I’m in the thick of it, but wondering if anyone has similar experience and are able to offer some advice on how to best survive the next five weeks and not shag up my healing?

Am I dying? Umbilical hernia surgery

Just had an umbilical hernia put back or removed as i don’t think my belly button exists anymore. I was told not to wash the wound directly but then it started leaking all the time. I have now decide to ‘directly’ wash it. I do think it’s getting better. But Ive had ‘cola’ urine two days in a row and only two slashes in that time. Is this a (very) bad sign! I will add some pics, also the urine colour- pre warning it’s angin.
