Can a 31 ACT, ~3.2 UW, ~4.0 W get me in?

I'm a junior in highschool and I feel like my GPA is slightly less than perfect, so I was just wondering what people's GPA was when they got in. For the Record my career GPA is ~3.1 UW. Also I’ve take one AP and will take two more next year.

Which Physics professor should I pick??

I’m trying to decide between taking physics 201 with Billy Scannell or Bret Brouse. I haven’t heard anything about Brouse but I’ve heard a lot of negative things about Scannell. Any input?

Concern about Admissions

Hi. I am a rising Senior in high school at the end of this year, Oregon has been my dream school since I was five. My entire family has gone to UO, and I want to as well, but I'm genuinely concerned about my chances, and it's tearing me apart. It might just be my anxiety, but I'm just worried. I want to go for political science, global studies, or secondary education.

I have a 3.35 cumulative GPA, participate in student government, FFA and take AP classes like AP Lit & Comp, and AP US Gov. I'm an Oregon resident with strong grades in English & History, but they're pretty weak in Math & Science areas. I'm keeping up my rigor my senior year with Prob & Stats, Anatomy, APUSH and AP Psych, but im just sort of concerned about being denied because this is what ive wanted for forever.

taking summer classes while recovering from surgery

i’m hoping someone who has taken online courses over summer can give me some insight on the pacing and if i can actually do this.

i have a surgery scheduled for July and just found out that if i want to graduate on time (next spring) i’ll need to take some online courses over the summer. it’s either that or take 20+ credit terms every term next school year, which i really don’t think i could handle. i already registered for summer classes, the surgery can be rescheduled, though obviously i’m upset and would rather not.

for summer classes i’m taking SPED 411, MUJ 351, ARH 314, and ARH 315. i’ve never taken summer courses or any online courses at UO so i’m not really sure what to expect. i transferred from community college and online courses were extremely easy there, but i don’t want to assume thats also true here.

when i’m in recovery i’ll mostly be in bed and taking it easy for a few weeks so online work won’t be hard to do, but i don’t doubt i’ll be tired mentally as well as physically. the ARH classes in specific are not asynchronous and have scheduled online lectures every weekday except friday. i may not be able to attend the classes on my surgery date depending on what time i go in, and maybe for a day or two afterwards depending on how i feel. is that a no go for an accelerated course? do they allow absences?

if anyone has experience with summer classes or these classes in particular please let me know. this is a hard decision and i’m honestly not sure what i should do,

Triple dorm question

I'm in the room selection process for my first year at UO currently and was wondering if in the triple rooms you are allowed to loft all three beds instead of keeping one as a bunk bed? Doesn't necessarily have to be lofted(seems best for space) just wanted to know if is it required to keep one as bunk bed?

SCAMMER ON CAMPUS

Cooper Matsui , a student in the university of Oregon, is a scammer . If you know the guy , know This , he is an absolute loser. He asked me to illustrate Over 650 cards, but didnt pay the amount owed. Hes now also using my art , without consent or payment made , for his financial benefit . He should be ashamed of taking advantage of people that actually work for their money . His Instagram was public but after i sent him a message there demanding the money he owes , he privated it . Dude is an absolute clown, so keep that in mind if you interact with him . Also heres the proof that hes using my art and that he didnt pay for it

Comic and Cartoon Studies vs Games Studies

I’m planning on transferring to UO for Media Studies and I would have to pick a minor. Right now I’m torn between comic and cartoon studies and game studies. So I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with either or both and would have any insight to share about them. One of my friends who has taken some game classes and the intro to comics class and he said the games classes he took weren’t that good but that he liked the comic class. But I wanted to see if anyone else has anything to share

Two times now over the last couple of months someone I don’t know is using a green laser pointer to point at me and it’s really freaking me out.

This has happened on two separate occasions now, spaced out by months, the second time happening today. What happens is I look down and someone is using a bright green laser pointer to point at me and my general area. The moment I look down and start reacting to it it’s gone, and when I try to look around I can’t see who’s doing it.

This isn’t a prank from a friend or anything. It’s happened twice now during the day. Honestly, I’m starting to get freaked out. I know just reading this it could probably be brushed off as me misinterpreting a coincidence or an accident, but I promise you, that’s not what it is. It’s the same green laser pointer circling me and on me by someone I can’t see and don’t know.

I want to know if anyone has any idea of what’s going on, maybe some context.

Best areas to live as a grad student?

Hi y'all! I'm an incoming PhD Student (Fall 2026) and was wondering where grad students who want to stay near campus end up living. I've heard from a few people that East Campus is in high demand, but are there other neighborhoods that grad students tend to congregate in?

I don't have a car yet, so I'd prefer to have within a 30-minute commute -- be it through walking, biking, or public transit -- until I get one.

Hi all! posting this again as I am really desperate!

I need to relet my room at the 515 for the summer or sooner! I am already moved out so you can move in whenever, and I have already paid rent for the month of May. Rent is 1184 monthly, and I am willing to contribute a portion monthly (we can discuss!)

It is in a very nice area, and the building itself is clean. The room is a private room within a 3bed/3bath unit, and the bathroom is within the room.

Let me know if you're interested or have any questions!
