He ain't getting shit, Sanji getting literally everything while Usopp begs for even the littlest of things, Oda won't even let him properly showcase the Observation Haki he is supposed to have😭
If you look closely with your heart, you can see Usopp wielding Ragnir here, trust me bro, zoom in he is behind those "movement" lines.
Also people are going to go crazy with Sanji unlocking Conqueror's but if you pay attention, Oda is confirming that Our God has it to, who else in the crew calls themselves a King? A Sogeking, even?
Seeing as Sanji decided to take out the source of Zaza (Killingham) it opens up an opportunity for Usopp (and the others as well) to save the children from Zaza. Sanji will be preoccupied with unlocking and mastering his Conquerors Haki, which likely leaves a bit of time for Zaza to move from the village to the port. Im not sure exactly how it’ll play out but God Usopp vs the Rain God Zaza just makes sense.
I don't know why people ain't put it together this way yet but this is how I see it
Ussop is the earth god in one piece and here why I think why;
Usopp is the Earth God of One Piece
(or at the very least the one inheriting the Earth God's role)
I've seen a lot of theories saying the Earth God is Imu, Blackbeard, or some unknown character.
I think Oda has been building Usopp into that role for over 1,100 chapters. Literally and people haven't put it together properly yet
This isn't based on one clue. It's based on the accumulation of dozens of thematic patterns.
Usopp isn't just called brave.
He isn't just called a king.
He is officially known as "God Usopp."
He has been worshipped by the Tontatta, Dressrosa citizens, and others throughout the story.
Luffy eventually became the Sun God.
Why is everyone assuming "God Usopp" is only a joke?
Oda rarely repeats something this often without a payoff.
After the timeskip he trains on Boin Archipelago, a living island completely covered in carnivorous plants.
Instead of learning swordsmanship or martial arts...
he masters nature itself.
His arsenal becomes:
Pop Greens
Living plants
Giant vines
Exploding flowers
Carnivorous plants
Growing forests
His weapons literally grow from seeds.
No other Straw Hat fights like this.
Usopp has wanted to reach Elbaf since Little Garden.
His admiration for giants isn't random.
Now we're finally in Elbaf...
the very arc introducing:
Harley
the Earth God
Nidhöggr
the First World
Adam Tree lore
His lifelong dream is unfolding exactly where the mythology is being revealed.
Usopp was the only Straw Hat who truly understood the Going Merry's spirit.
That wasn't just emotional storytelling.
It showed Oda connecting Usopp to living souls in a way nobody else on the crew experienced.
This is one of Oda's longest-running gags.
Except...
they stop being jokes.
He claims thousands of followers.
Eventually gets thousands of followers.
He claims to be a great warrior.
He's becoming one.
He claims to have Conqueror's Haki.
We don't know yet but Oda has repeatedly turned his lies into future truths.
His stories become history.
Unlike Luffy...
Usopp doesn't start brave.
He becomes brave.
Every major arc pushes him toward becoming the warrior he always claimed to be.
Now in Elbaf...
he stands against Gunko despite knowing he can't win.
That's exactly how Oda treated Luffy before his biggest power jumps.
Character first.
Power second.
He doesn't conquer nature.
He cultivates it.
He plants.
He grows.
He adapts.
He supports.
His fighting style is based on life itself rather than destruction.
Usopp's village is Syrup Village, immediately associating him with trees and sap.
His first weapon is homemade from natural materials.
His ammunition evolves from chemicals and handmade inventions into living seeds.
His entire progression is one of growth.
Every giant Usopp meets respects him.
His dream revolves around them.
Now the story has arrived in Elbaf.the homeland of the giants and one of the oldest civilizations in the world.
That's not coincidence.
...during the exact arc where Usopp's lifelong dream is finally coming true.
That timing feels deliberate.
My conclusion
I'm not saying Usopp literally is the original Earth God.
I'm saying Oda has spent over 1,100 chapters building Usopp into the Third World's symbolic successor to the Earth God, just as Luffy inherited Joy Boy's role rather than literally being the original Joy Boy.
When you combine:
God Usopp
Elbaf
Giants
Plants
Growth
Living weapons
Going Merry
Observation Haki
Lies becoming reality
Courage
Nature symbolism
His current role in the Elbaf conflict
...I don't think another character in the series has a stronger thematic case.
If it walks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck...
it's probably a duck.
The real question isn't whether Usopp has Earth God symbolism.
The real question is whether Oda intends that symbolism to culminate in a literal reveal or in an inherited archetypal role.
Either way, I think Usopp is currently the strongest candidate in the story anyone else wouldn't make much sense thematically to me
It is all fun games until Usopp becomes a great warrior. Imagine this, on an island after Elbaph.
Usopp gets taken by the world government. The Straw Hats go to save their friend. The 5 elders surround Luffy with nowhere to go they capture him. Soon Zoro and Sanji are captured. Then Jinbe, Nami, chopper and Brook are taken. And they threaten Frankie there going to kil them if he doesn't go quietly. Robin sees what happened and gives up. Usopp sees all his friends being taken then snaps. And powerful conqueror's haki engulfs the island. Ussop lives up to his name. We see a flashback. Of Usopp being born, his true name revealed the D lives in him. Ussop Haki concerns the 5 Elders. But then Shanks comes to save Luffy for the last time. The Straw Hats escape and head to Laugh Tale. Usopp becomes a powerful member using his conqueror's haki with his Kuro Kabuto. Becoming the true God Usopp.
Q: Which male character would you recommend as boyfriend?
Oda: I’d have to say Usopp! He’s considerate of the people around him, and he’s kinder than anyone.
Sanji has a lot of female fans, but he would definitely cheat on you. And I’m the author, so you can trust me!
As for Luffy… hmm, I don’t know. You’d probably have to be extremely patient to date him. He’s restless and can’t stay in one place, so even if a girl told him, ‘I want to see you,’ I don’t think he’d really understand how she feels.

How do you guys feel about it? I personally don’t hate it. He’s slowly getting his tan back.
Hi!
I recently wrote a whole reimagined final saga for One Piece which happened to be my first fan fic. Originally written as a stress outlet I didn't do the strategic thing with posting a chapter weekly or so, I just dumped it all on AO3. I was wondering if there are any experienced fan fic writers eho can give pointers to other obvious faux pas made in terms of outreach.
Obviously actual feedback on the story would be nice too, I'll take what I can get. Thanks!
My little theory here about my favourite character, my dear dear Usopp! I know it has been treated but I wanted to dig a little deeper with the details I got from some researches.
He wants to prove he is a brave warrior of the sea. Everybody is seeing him getting Ragnir and I second that. Not because he got stronger, but because he is brave - in the Marvel comic, Mjolnir only responds to people who are brave enough, not the ones who are strong. Mjolnir comes back in the hands of the one who threw it, which could make the link between Usopp's ability as a sniper. That was said by many fans.
Here is where I want to add some points.
Thor is, in the mythology, the god of the humbles and the craftsmen, people like Usopp ; of fertility too - think of the pop green. Thor is known to lie (not as much as Loki though) to get what he needs : for example, he had to disguise himself as a bride (with Loki as his bridesmaid, which is hilarious btw and would be awesome in Elbaf) to get back Mjolnir. Thor has a belt he needs to use Mjolnir - think of the belt of Usopp. Thor is associated with goats that push his cart, goats he can revive - think of the Going Merry. In Syrup village, Kaya lives in the biggest mansion of the island - Thor lives with his wife in the biggest house of Nordic Mythology. Thor and Herakles are often mixed in Mythology : who trained Usopp? Herakles.
The link with Ratatorsk could be found in the Sandman of Gaiman, but that would be pushing it a little too far (Loki basically pranks Thor, saying he's pregnant, feeding him big amounts of castor oil making his belly full of shit and putting a cork on his ass, and Ratatoskr is the one getting shit on while taking off the cork. Thor says "You're ugly, you're hairy, and you're covered in shit. But you're mine, and I love you!").
I don't see him getting Ragnir all the time though ; more like a captain America thing, where Usopp can use it to help fight Imu with all his braveness and finally get a grip (pun) of his haki by throwing Ragnir.
He's always in a duo with Nami. She already got Zeus. I can completely see them combine their attacks to create something that would definitely link him to Thor.
I also have more of an intuition than Usopp is going to survive (and not be killed at the end of Elbaph like the scalers are thinking) to all that is happening, because he has to tell the tales - the Tontattas already linked Usopp to Norland, and his name is derivative to the famous Esope (confirmed by Oda). I can see him being the new Louis Arnote, since his book "Bragmen" is considered a collection of lies and tales. Usopp would survive everybody to tell what happened during the One Piece (by exaggerating his role, of course!)
Here's to adding a little bit to the theory! Hope you enjoyed it and sorry if this was already pointed at!
Everyday i put more stocks in Usopp getting Ragnir
Bunch of hypocrites
usopp got no feats
edit: i been thinking about making this with this exact panel for days, but i felt like doing it today so
