“Perfect Code”

This time, I decided to approach the matter thoroughly. All locations and characters for the "Character Sheet" for VEO were created in ChatGPT.

The main problem turned out to be that VEO didn't care how the character looked in the "Character Sheet." This was especially true for the depiction of androids. With each generation, VEO drew its own android, and each time it was different. I tried to fix this problem by uploading images of androids to GPT and Gemini to get a detailed description down to the pixel. The result was better, but not enough for my work. I figured out how to correctly write commands to prohibit image changes in the "Character Sheet" description and wrote these commands into all character sheets. The result improved, but small details still changed with each generation. It became clear that I would have to change the script. I had 5 android models, 3 characters with visors instead of faces, and 2 characters with faces. VEO drew the androids with visors identically, and I couldn't use the female model of the "modernized" android.

In the pictures, you can see what the androids look like. For VEO, they are all the same; do not try to create scenarios with androids, it will save you nerves, time, and money.

With humans, it was better; only figures and clothing details changed. The main question that arose was: What is the purpose of a character sheet in Flow if it is ignored by the model itself?

Seeking your feedback! This oversized T-shirt ad was created entirely with GPT + Veo.

How does it look? Does it feel premium and authentic enough for a small streetwear brand to use as an Instagram ad?

I'd love to hear your honest thoughts:

  • Does it grab your attention?
  • Would you stop scrolling to watch it?
  • Does it look like a real brand commercial?
  • What would you improve?

Your feedback means a lot! 🙌

Credits why not unlimited

Can someone explain why so many AI companies use credits instead of offering unlimited use?

Even if you write a great prompt, there's no guarantee the video or image will come out the way you wanted. I can burn through five or more generations just trying to get one usable result. That means I'm spending credits fixing the AI's mistakes or limitations, not creating more content.

From a user's perspective, it feels like you're paying over and over for retries instead of results.

So what's the actual benefit of credit systems? Is it just to cover computing costs, or is there another reason I'm missing? I'd genuinely like to understand the business side of it.

Trying to figure out how they made this youtube ad

I've been trying to recreate this thing for two days now and failing hard. The realism, all the little actions before she starts talking, the micro-expressions, adjusting her hair, the looks off to the side, the hurried walk with turns flowing together between clips, the natural looking people in the background. If it wasn't for a few tells (e.g. her tattoo appearing and disappearing, etc) I'd be questioning whether it was actually ai or not.

Anyone have any ideas for prompting for something like this??? I run a video company and me and my partner have been trying to recreate something similar. I've tried Flow, I've tried having claude code write prompting, I've tried feeding it to gemini and having it suggest prompts.

Ironically a friend said their app sucks. I guess they should have been an ai video production company instead. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

construction animation consistency?

i'm a newbie in ai video generation. i just wanted to make a construction animation with my own render. I have made several architectural renders, uploaded into google flow and with nano banana pro i've made construction phase images based on my render. but i can't generate a video which uses my render, tried a lot of different prompts, i used every veo model, it behaves like text to video feature. just doesnt refer to my image even in first-last frame option. after that i tried to make simple arc shot video, it failed again. what should i do?

ANIMA · A 4K Musical Reflection through the human condition based on real documentary photos

I grew up obsessed with Ron Fricke’s work—Baraka, Samsara, the whole Qatsi series. Films that just... sit with you. I always dreamed of traveling the world to capture it that way. The patience, the craft, the 70mm camera in places most people never reach. I never could. Life, money, reality.

Then AI happened.

I’m not here to debate whether AI filmmaking is "real." I’ll let the film speak for itself. What I will say is that I took a deliberate approach with this one:

No text-to-video. No hallucinated faces or structures. Every single frame starts as a real photograph of an actual human being or global event, sourced from photojournalism, public archives, Unsplash, Pexels, and Wikimedia Commons—copyright-free.

I reformatted each one by hand, arranging 137 shots into a raw, circular reflection on global life, joy, sorrow, and ultimately, the universal language of childhood innocence. Then I brought them to life as slow, locked-off "living photos."

That's the hybrid part. Real world in, AI motion out.

ANIMA is the seventh and final volume of my project series, TERRA TERRA. It’s 137 shots, focused entirely on the human condition.

The full 7-part series structure:

  1. MOTHER: Earth’s landscapes.
  2. PATRIS: The Cosmos.
  3. CLOSE-UP: The Microscopic world.
  4. OFFSPRING: The Animal Kingdom.
  5. STONE & STEEL: The Built World.
  6. HANDS & MACHINES: The World of Craft.
  7. ANIMA: The Human Spirit.

Tools: Nano Banana 2, Veo 3.1 Fast (Google Labs Flow), Suno, iMovie.

Question: Since these shots are built from real photojournalism and authentic human moments, does the AI animation bring you closer to their emotion, or does it distance you from the reality of the human condition?

HANDS & MACHINES · A 4K Musical Chronicle Through the World of Craft based on real photos

Huge fan of Godfrey Reggio and Ron Fricke here. Since I couldn't haul a 70mm camera into factories worldwide, I built this project using a hybrid human-AI pipeline.

Every shot starts as a real, copyright-free photograph of human labor or industrial manufacturing. No text-to-video prompt generation. I hand-sorted 125 images into five thematic waves (Handcraft, Mechanical Transition, Industrial Escalation, High-Tech Futures, and Decay) and used AI to animate them as subtle, locked-off "living photos."

HANDS & MACHINES is the sixth film in my 7-part TERRA TERRA series.

Tools used: Nano Banana 2, Veo 3.1 Fast, Suno, iMovie.

Question: How does the subtle AI animation on real photos of machines and hands feel to you? Does it elevate the sense of labor, or does the AI aspect take you out of it?
