How's college life as a veterinary student and the work-life balance as well?

Hey! I'm currently preparing for NEET, and while my primary focus has been the human medical track (aiming for specialization down the line), I am seriously considering BVSc & AH as a genuine alternative
If you are a practicing vet in India (or moved abroad after BVSc), I would highly appreciate your unfiltered answers to these questions:

1. What does a realistic starting monthly salary look like right after BVSc vs. after an MVSc in a tier-1/tier-2 city?

2. What is the actual income ceiling for a corporate vet, a government Veterinary Officer (VO), or a successful private clinic owner?

3. Given the 5.5-year degree investment, do you feel the financial return matches the mental and physical labor?

4. How difficult is it to secure a secure government VO position nowadays? Is it entirely dependent on state PSC exams and saturated?

5. Corporate vet chains (like MaxVets, Cessna, etc.) are expanding. What is the work culture like there regarding hours, pressure, and sales targets?

6. How capital-intensive is setting up a basic diagnostics-equipped private clinic, and how long does it take to break even?

7. Knowing the current state of veterinary infrastructure, corporate pressure, physical risks (bites/scratches), and pay scales in 2026 if you could go back to your teenage years, would you choose BVSc again, or would you switch to human medicine/research?

sooo to all my brothers and sister who are in vet collage or a doctor or who is studying to become one was there any particular moment that made you feel like the grind was worth it ??? just curious

Are there any veterinary colleges in India that conduct their own entrance exams with some seats reserved for All India Quota?
I do know some states like Rajasthan and Assam conduct state specific veterinary exams but they are limited to domicile holders only.

My dog (1.5 year old, 24.7 kgs male labrador) has epilepsy and hip dysplasia and is on a bunch of medication that disturbs his sleep. He wakes up at odd times and becomes aggressive and restless etc. His current vets have given up saying his current dosage is enough to manage epilepsy and that they cannot give him anything more for sleep. His current vet also suggested scans but that is unavailable in my city and it is not possible for me to travel to Delhi/Mumbai etc rn. Currently on 60mg pheno and 10ml Epicare plus HD Tablets.

I am looking for some holistic vets that can prescribe herbal supplements etc to help him calm down and sleep through the night. I haven’t slept properly since January and it is making me hate my life and my dog. Please help.

Today was my physiology second internal... And it didn't went well , i believe i could do better, i just wanna know if i can give just physiology exam in third internal? Like not LPM and anatomy just the PHYSIOLOGY only? Will it be counted in the best two? Please enlight me, im in first year rn.....

Fuckkkkkkk i fucked up my second internals and first internals i could not attend wtf fuckkkkkkkkk I am sooo cooked i did not even pass my second internals i have gotten like 10 out of 40 in anatomy and physiology i guess 15 ? I am cooked lpm went well

F you NTA !!!!!!! im so dissapointed i was sooo happy NEET after 2 years of studying it finally came to an end but NTA LITERALLY SPOILED IT !!!!!!! many of my friends got very good scores of above 600+ but now they all are shedding tears , my mind is blank and i feel so burnt out even tho i just sat for 2 hours ............... many and many youtube teachers told the re neet question paper would be as hard or even harder than neet 2025 !! many of the teachers i know are syaing the cutoff maybe similar to 2025 cutoff , they told so this time the safe score for vet is just 520+ . im honestly shocked at this because just imagining the toughness of paper makes me dizzy ....... how are you feeling fellow neet suffering aspirants and anyy advice seniors ?? how are you all gonna prepare the next month as many predicted that the RE-NEET date would be in 21 or 28 of june
