Vet Diploma (+ Parital Drop) to enter BVSC?

Vet Diploma (+ Parital Drop) to enter BVSC?

I passed 12th this year, neet won't work out.

How is the idea of doing DIPLOMA , instead of sitting 1 more year idle for only preparing for neet.

(My friend suggested this as he is doing the same, but I kinda feel ugh. Don't know or i know it is a superiority complex)

New government veterinary college in Goa with no hospital or basic facilities or new pvt veterinary college in Maharashtra ?

Hey, I’m from Goa, and this year a new government veterinary college is starting here. However, it currently has only a 2-year permission/approval, and there isn’t a teaching hospital yet.
In Goa, around 40–45 students usually apply for BVSc, but only about 20 actually attend counselling.
Given this situation, should I take admission in the new government college in Goa, or should I consider one of the new private veterinary colleges opening this year in Maharashtra, such as those in Beed, Thane, Ahmednagar, or Aurangabad? Which option would be better in the long run? 60% chance hai shirwal college ke aur 70% parbhani wale but dono bhot dur hai ☹️

Can you annual board exams be delayed despite the given academic calender?

So as neet and reneet and shit that comes along with it every year the time for counselling stretches even more, i know the schedule is primarily decided by the university you're affiliated too but have annual board exams ever been delayed after the issued academic calender since it's not centralised exam? Genuine question

Essential things as a first year🙏

Hey seniors, I'll be joining bvsc&ah this year, so naturally, I'm very anxious, excited, but mostly scared. I have always wanted to be a vet, and now that I'm a step closer to it, idkw I'm so scared.

So I just need you all to please leave all the tips you have for freshers, like from the very basic, what to wear, what to carry, where do we get our books from, is laptop/a tab important (I dont want to burden my father with another big expense apart from my college fee so this point is essential).

Also for as a female who is kind of underweight, I've heard it will be way too difficult for me. Please let me know anything you can help me and my fellow freshers with.

Thank you. may you all have a nice day!🤍

Veterinary College for WB domicile.

As a general candidate I doubt I'll make it to wbuafs govt college. Should I consider the newly opened JISCOVAS through state quota or should opt for pvt colleges in other state (rajasthan)..?? If anyone knows about JISCOVAS please let me know whatever i should know before considering, I'd really appreciate it..

Need help 😔

Is anyone from Mumbai currently studying in Shirwal or Parbhani? How do you usually travel back home during short holidays or on weekends?
Based on my score, I don’t think I’ll get MVC, so I might end up getting Shirwal or Parbhani. I’ve never travelled alone by bus or train before, so I’m a bit nervous. I’d really appreciate it if you could share how you manage your travel sorry if I sound stupid

Need some honest advice from veterinarians

Hello doctors I'm in a bit of a dilemma and would really appreciate your honest opinions. I'm wondering whether pursuing a veterinary degree is the right decision for me and whether it can provide a secure future. One of my biggest concerns comes from my own Labrador. He doesn't let any veterinarian touch him. It literally takes four or five people to restrain him just to give him an injection. Whenever I think about dealing with aggressive dogs and other animals every day, I start wondering if I've made the right career choice. Do you eventually get used to handling aggressive animals, or is this something that remains stressful even after years of practice? Another concern is moving abroad in the future. I'm interested in countries where the licensing process is relatively achievable. I'm not aiming for places like the US or Canada because their licensing exams seem far beyond my capabilities. After going through years of highly competitive entrance exam I'm honestly exhausted and don't want another extremely difficult licensing process. Did any of you have similar doubts before joining veterinary college or am I just overthinking everything? Looking back now, would you still choose this profession? I'd really appreciate hearing your honest experiences and advice your comments will help me a lot to decide my future options I also learned from the advice on my previous post that there are non-clinical career options in veterinary medicine. How are the career prospects in non-clinical fields?

Gadvasu fees enquiry

If it’s 83k for 6 months don’t you guys think it’s too expensive. Has it inflated this year only to this extent or it was always this much? And the rampura phul branch has more than double the fees of ludhiana branch. Isn’t it unfair because in other vet colleges like ivri, tanuvas, duvasu it’s quite lower.

For the people who are in college or working.

21F. Can't join vet college this year. Is it okay to join vet at 22? I come from a low income family but other biology fields require 10+ years of learning and to be honest I'm very interested in veterinary.

So the question is, is it worthy to join vet at 22 if you're financially not too well

Because I've heard people tell me that the pay is too low

Mbbs students wanting vet

I have been seeing so many posts about people that are considering VET as an option just because they didn't score enough for MBBS.

I get the desperation of wanting to secure a college and not wanting to take a drop but for students(like me) who have VET as a first choice, what are we supposed to do 😀

It's really enraging to see that people who didn't even want this stream, now want it just because they didn't get what they wanted initially.

I'm not saying all this to offend anyone but really, what are people like us who have wanted to do VET since day 1 supposed to do?
