🎬 New Memory Story is out!
This one goes back to my student days in Iran in 1986 — a road trip to the north, a Toyota pickup, a stack of forbidden cassette tapes, and one very confused Laura Branigan cassette that somehow survived the checkpoint.
It’s a funny memory, but also a small glimpse into everyday life in Iran during those years.

This is the complete list of the 11 official US VHS editions of Blade Runner. The most difficult to tell apart are the first three original Embassy releases. These exist with two different star colours on the spine. In addition, the White Star Edition exists with two different running times on the back (119 and 122 minutes). The White Star and Black Star releases also have different labels on the tape.
The original releases, along with the so-called “Red Tab” release, are probably the rarest. The Tenth Anniversary Edition also has a red flap.
The last image shows a rare screening tape of the 1997 release of The Director’s Cut. I’m not counting this as a separate release.
The editions are shown in chronological order, with the oldest in the top left.

One of my personal favourites with Caroline Munro as Stella Star, Starcrash (also known as Star Crash and Scontri stellari oltre la terza dimensione in Italy), released in 1978. Ex-rental VHS issued by Multivision in 1985.
