Target mode has lower target for humidifier

My garden is in target mode, and is aiming for 55%, but for some reason the humidifier schedule is actually targeting 48%. This means that at 51% humidity, my vpd is far too high but the humidifier refuses to turn on.

My only options apparently are to either abandon target mode or, what I did for now, which was set the humidifier’s probe calibration to be artificially lower. I dislike both options. I want to keep target mode so it can factor in my external environment “lung room” which is sometimes unstable.

How can I fix this humidifier target being wildly different from the recipe target? It makes no sense!

Mason jars or Grove bags for cure?

Trying to figure out which one is going to give me a better cure, Mason jars or grove bags? Ive never used grove bags but a buddy had some extras so he gave me some but ive heard mixed reviews about them so im not sure what i should use

I have a vcure so both are going into a 59*F/62%RH but curious to which is going to keep my bud the freshest and stickiest.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Jungle, Baby!

Day 26 of flower on my very first grow - Trainwreck Photoperiod - and I have never been happier. This may be an odd question but do you guys ever have like…favorite buds? Like I open my tent and there’s like 2-3 that I look for every time and there they are to greet me 😂

I am absolutely in love with growing this dang plant. I’ve already bought a shit ton more seeds to keep it going, too. I made sure to get a bunch since I learned about the seed ban.

Thanks to all of you fine folks who’ve helped me along on this journey. Now here’s to Flowering and moving forward!

Peace ✌🏼

Vcure vs Cannatrol

With vivosun not giving any sales on the vcure and Cannatrol lowering pricing! Now we have a battle of been here versus just got here! For those that have both or used both before. Looking for a honest review in what’s worth spending this money on! For me vivosun customer service has been asss cheeks for a long time also just new to the game with the help of CUSTOMER DONATIONS! Kinda weird!

Needing to pull the trigger by end of day!

Vcure question- staggered grows

I have 3 grows going currently. The first one will be done a week before the other two. If I start the vcure on artisan am I good to just load the other two half through the cycle or should I do a quick dry for the first one and then artisan for the other two to have separate dry cycles in the vcure?

Advice needed growmies.. 🙏🏾

Peace fam. Wrapping up my first grow and harvest, and ngl I’m kinda surprised at the smell and it’s not quite what I was expecting.

I thought I did a solid job on my first chop (Deja Blue from Night Owl), but did a little partial harvest partly because I was impatient, it stunted, but also wanted to experiment with a quick cycle vs the craft cycle..

After The quick cycle the buds feel fine, but don’t smell like I would want in the slightest… is this expected?? Do I still need to cure more in some jars to get the smell and taste I was going for?? Or did I just F up my grow and it wasn’t as good as I thought??

The first legit chop is Mephisto’s Grape Crush, it’s now been in the VCure (craft cycle) for about 4 days.. I looked up info on the bean and it does say the growth odor is low, so maybe I just don’t have a stinky plant on this run?

What are your experiences so far? Do you guys still jar up after the VCure? After watching some YouTube videos, some people atleast act like they are ready to smoke next to peak product fresh out the quick cycle, which would NOT be the case for me..

Any of your experiences with the smells and taste after the vcure, and if you keep curing afterwards for peak trees would be greatly appreciated..

Pics added of the grape crush during harvest to show that I thought I at least did okay on this run.

The pic of the buds in the storage container is the Deja blue after the quick cycle with the still fresh green smell.

V-Cure first use and Recipes.

Hello all , I got my V-Cure and did an quick dry Cycle with some test buds and it did its job great now I got my whole harvest in and I want to go slower this time.
Would it be possibly to do an own Recipe where I put it to 15 Degrees Celsius and 60% for 14 days or is that risking mold ? I dont want to lose this harvest but I also wanna maximise my Terps with my new machine .
Thanks for any input .

Advice

Hi growers happy Saturday. I’ve a question here. Ok I have a vgrow and have had four successful grows so far. A few false starts but it’s great. I’m just starting an auto super skunk grow and I accidentally dropped two seeds into the mix and there’s two just starting to rise. Should I take one out or just let them both grow.

How big are the buds you're putting in the VCures?

Tossed a 4" nug away due to mold ran at 58% rh. If you have to buck the buds and clip em to basically popcorns, what's the point? Why not just whole plant hang and use it for the cure/store phase?

Haven't had mold in buds in over 6 years drying whole plants at 58 and 70F with proper airflow.

Vivosun devices keep going offline in the app — anyone else have this issue?

About 6 months ago, the Vivosun app worked perfectly fine for me. Since then, my devices have started randomly going offline, which means I can’t monitor or control anything when I’m away from my grow tent.
I’ve tried:

Resetting and re-pairing the devices
Removing them from the app and adding them again
Moving the devices directly next to my Wi-Fi router
Signing out and back into the app
Switching to a different Vivosun account

Strangely, switching accounts actually fixed everything for about a week, but now I’m right back where I started. My devices are showing offline again, and even resetting them and moving them next to the router hasn’t fixed it.
This is happening with multiple Vivosun devices, not just one, so I’m having a hard time figuring out whether this is a Wi-Fi issue, an app/account issue, or something on Vivosun’s end.

Has anyone dealt with this and found a permanent fix? I don’t even normally use Reddit, but I’m out of options at this point. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Platinum Kush Breath Remix

Beginning of week 9 thinking I’m going to let her run till next Sunday. Trichomes are all milky, but no amber yet not even on the sugar leafs. How long do you think she’s has left before 5% amber?

Summer Grow Rescue Mission (Part 3/8): A fan won’t cool your grow tent — here’s what airflow actually does in summer

One thing I see pretty often with summer grows:

The tent gets hot, so growers add another clip-on fan.

And then... the temperature barely changes.

That's because a fan isn't really a cooling device. It's moving the air you already have around.

If the room is 85°F, your fan is just moving 85°F air.

That doesn't mean fans aren't important. They absolutely are. They just solve a different problem.

Good airflow keeps air from sitting in the same place around your plants. It helps break up hot and humid pockets around the canopy, keeps leaves moving a little, and generally makes the whole grow space more even.

An AC is what actually brings the temperature down.

So in a hot summer grow, I think of it pretty simply:

AC deals with the heat. Fans deal with the air.

And the two work a lot better together.

So where should the fans go?

I wouldn't point a powerful fan straight at one plant and leave it there all day.

You want the leaves moving a little. That's about it.

If the whole plant is getting pushed sideways every time the fan comes on, that's probably more airflow than you need.

For a small tent, one fan may be enough. Larger spaces usually need more than one so you're not just moving air around one corner of the tent.

I also like having air move across the canopy rather than having the fan aimed directly into it.

What about the AC?

Same idea — don't turn the tent into a refrigerator.

If you're using an AC, you want the cool air to mix with the rest of the room instead of dumping a stream of cold air directly onto the plants.

Your circulation fans can help spread that cooled air around.

A few things I'd watch for

If you notice:

  • one part of the canopy is much hotter than another
  • humidity seems to hang around in certain spots
  • leaves barely move
  • the growing medium stays wet for a long time
  • you're starting to see more mold issues

...I'd take a look at the airflow before immediately changing everything else.

And there's a pretty easy visual check:

Your plants should move a little.

If they're completely still, you probably need more circulation.

If they're getting blown around like they're standing in front of a jet engine, you've probably gone too far.

We're also working through these summer problems in the Summer Grow Rescue Mission on the VIVOSUN App. The series covers airflow, watering, lighting, VPD/humidity, heat stress recovery and a few other things that tend to become a headache once summer really gets going.

Let me know in the comment sections:

Are you fighting heat, humidity, or both this summer?
