Do you guys use a template for promoting 3D models?

I mainly post finished 3D models on BOOTH in Japan, but since coming to Reddit, I feel like I keep seeing these polished “3D model showcase” videos.

Are there any convenient apps or templates that people use to make these? Or are you all making them from scratch?

✨ Public Release Wednesday! 👕👖👟 Scars V2 + The Indie Creator Pack

I think I finally finished!! ...the stupidly large VRoid pack I've been threatening to make 😂

A little while ago I posted about the Indie Creator Pack I was putting together, and after a LOT of work... it's finally here.

This is basically around 4.9GB of my VRoid work from the last ~4 years, bundled together into one big creator resource.

I've been working on this for years, so getting to the point where I can finally say "yeah, it's actually finished" feels a little surreal. 😭

And honestly, looking at it all in one place is making me realise just how much stuff I've made. 😂

🐟 So what's actually in it?

🔴 100+ texture packs and resources
🟠 Fantasy, animal, character & everyday styles
🟡 Body textures, skin details, markings & variations
🟢 Custom items & accessories
🔵 Clothing and other wearable assets
🟣 .vroidcustomitem files
🔵 Loads of mix-and-match pieces
🟢 Example models to show what's possible
🟡 Organised folders + previews
🟠 Creator/commercial licensing options

There's a lot in here. 😂 I've tried to show a decent cross-section in the images, but what you're seeing is only a fraction of the actual files included.

The whole idea was to make something that isn't just a collection of finished characters.

I wanted people to be able to take the individual pieces, throw them together, change colours, layer things, experiment and basically make their own characters.

I actually tested this during a stream recently and ended up making four completely different models, and then someone in chat suggested making a tiny version of my character...

So obviously I made Kid Aqua — the Princeling. 😂

That ended up being one of my favourite parts of the whole project because it really showed what I wanted the pack to be about: mixing things together and seeing what happens.

I've spent an honestly embarrassing amount of time organising, previewing, testing and trying to make the whole thing actually usable rather than just dumping 4.5GB of Fish Brain™ onto someone's hard drive. 😂

There are also three versions depending on what you actually need:

🟠 Creator Licence
Create unlimited characters for yourself and for commercial projects that you own or operate.

Here: ko-fi.com/s/10f6107e7d

🔵 Commission Creator Licence
For creators who want to use the assets when making custom VRoid models for paying clients.

Here: ko-fi.com/s/9daf844482

🟢 Professional Model Seller Licence
For creators who want to make commissions, premade models or adoptable characters for sale.

Here: ko-fi.com/s/4d23a50119

I wanted to keep these separate because I know not everyone needs commercial rights or wants to drop a huge amount of money on a massive asset library. If you're just making characters for yourself, you shouldn't have to pay for things you don't need.

It's been a pretty massive project, so I'm really happy to finally be able to show the whole thing.

A huge thank you to everyone who's been following along, especially the people here who've been watching me slowly lose my mind making this. ❤️

I've put some pictures below showing off what's actually inside!

I’m building an iPhone app with VRM avatar support — looking for TestFlight testers

Hi! I’m an indie developer from Japan, and I’m currently developing an iPhone app called **PIPIPI**.

PIPIPI is an avatar-based communication app that supports importing and using your own **VRM avatars**, including models created with VRoid.

Current features include:

* Import and use your own `.vrm` avatar

* Voice calls with avatar lip sync and expressions

* **mocopi full-body tracking support**

* Multiplayer features for hanging out and playing with friends

* A shared voxel world where you can explore, build, ride minecarts, and take photos

**One limitation in the current beta:**

VRM avatars are supported, but **multiplayer with VRoid avatars is not supported yet.**

I’m currently looking for **iPhone / TestFlight testers**, especially people who use VRoid or already have their own VRM models.

You don’t need mocopi to participate, but if you own one, I’d especially appreciate feedback on the full-body tracking integration.

I’d love feedback on:

* VRM importing

* Avatar appearance and animations

* Lip sync and expressions

* mocopi tracking

* General usability and bugs

* What you’d like to see from future VRoid multiplayer support

If you have an iPhone and a VRM avatar and would like to try PIPIPI before release, I’d really appreciate your feedback!

**TestFlight:**

Thanks!

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on this model for release.

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on this model for release.

In my case, I make both a full set that includes the outfit and hairstyle, as well as a version with some of the shading removed, intended to be used as a base for outfit swaps.

This time, even in this completely bald state, the model already has a luxurious feel to it. I think it's going to turn out really well, so I'm working hard to finish it!

Adding muscle to my dungeon dwelling goblina. Taking name suggestions.

Hair and costume by nerostudios (modified a little bit around the skirts and belts)

https://nerostudios.booth.pm/

u/rnerostudios

I know before and after should be left and right, but I didn't think about it. Left is after.

She is an axe wielding adventurer, so I wanted to make her look stronger.

Vroid studios can do the shoulders, bust and thighs to make her look stronger, but not the but, stomach or bicepts like I wanted, so this is using blender. No blender questions on this sub, but it took me about an hour to learn.

This is a model used in Godot, so the V-Sekai VRM plugins are doing the animating. Animations are FudaStore on unity market place. https://assetstore.unity.com/publishers/97472 Same no unity questions here, but again, about an hour to learn to get the animations just right.

Sorry for low brightness. She's in a dungeon.

...

Possible names? I got help here for my last character.

So far playing on Goblina (a female goblin that's cute for some reason):

Goblina (very creative)
Gobriel
Gobella
Tina the goblina (used in a borderlands game, but it's pretty generic)
Athena?

Also doesn't have to be a goblina, could be just goblin, or goblette - that's pretty funny. So new names for the creature type are good too.

EDIT: Sorry, I missed a reference. I think the eyes, and possibly the flat skin tone, are from https://muro.booth.pm/
