Spark plug grenaded in cylinder 3(NGK94833) which led me to getting off my ass and servicing the car. Had the original pump and injectors in the car. I believe the injector leaned out and killed the plug strap. Car runs much better. Cold idle performance is back to normal. Seems peppier overall.

Hey I got a 2015 TSI with power backrest foward/back and heated. I found a set of GTI seats from a 2015 as well but the gti has full power front/back, up/down and headrest. Just wondering if it’s doable to swap them? My TSI use a handle to slide the base of the seat foward and back but the gti has none

I’m on 0252T and want to update to 0480T just to unlock the 8” skin for the MIB unit
So it looks like this (see image 1) - I’m upgrading to this screen but will have the old firmware on MIB2 so it won’t look like that.
Anyone know if I can do it without bricking my unit. Also how to activate CarPlay again after?

I recently started getting a terrible noise from the passenger side of the engine bay. It sounds like a pump running dry or what I would imagine bad bearings inside the water pump would sound like. Long story short i realized it’s the ac compressor clutch not disengaging. The pulley that the belt is on and the center section spin together regardless if the ac is on or off. Shutting it off and turning the temperature up does not do anything. I’m wondering if it’s gone and I need a new one or if there is another fix. Also if there is a way to manually disengage it so that I can at least stop the noise. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
My written of golf R-Line is finally going in for the repairs. Also added new led headlights, alloys to the work to give it a new lease of life. Luckily the damage was only cosmetic but I had seen it busted up.

This code popped up 2.5 years ago… that’s when I was at this mileage… only thing I remember at 51k miles was car struggled to start cause it was cold, engine light was flashing. Restarted and it was fine. (Probably unrelated)
Car drives fine, no error lights or anything. It’s the only fault along side a software update thing (I got CarPlay activated remotely by a third party)
Sometimes when I use the fan it makes this sound before the fan stops working all together (no matter the speed setting). It’s only happened when the weather has been warm recently

Hi ive got a mk7 wagon, it has the mib1 unit in it. Ive already put the carplay / android auto box in but I know the standard mib1 unit tails off the bass at higher volume.
Im already planning on using the sound deadening mat in the doors and the boot, but is there a way to fix the bass from the head unit? Eventually I am going to put my old focal 13" subs in the back but I need to design an enclosure that wont loose all my boot space first so that's a way off
Any help to get the bass back or improved would be appreciated
I have a pretty severe coolant leak coming out of a hole that looks like there should be a bolt in it. It’s right when the inlet pipe comes into the turbo. The coolant line seems to go into the upper hole, and there’s a lower hole where the coolant is pouring out. In the diagram, is it possible the bolt from #2 isn’t in the hole and coolant could be pouring out? Any thoughts or advice? Shop is saying I potentially need a new turbo.
Just about every tube looked like this and every spark plug has oil around it. Was planning on replacing my PCV soon anyways so would rather get everything done at once.
2015 golf sportswagen TSI.
I have a 2015 golf that's started behaving weirdly. A while ago it felt like it 'cut out' very VERY briefly (fraction of a second) - didn't think much on it, but recently it's started doing it more and more. As it's the DSG version, and I'm looking at the road when driving, I can't tell if it's when switching gears, but I suspect it might be around second gear (entering and leaving it) if it is, as it can really jerk me forward when I'm trying to overtake... actually feels a bit dangerous.
Recently I was in a massive stop/start traffic queue, and the car kept cutting out then, giving me the auto-start warning - I had to put it into 'Park' when stopping rather than auto-hold or just pressing the brake. The other day I was at a roundabout and it cut out again there.
The DPF warning light \\\*used\\\* to come on a while ago on long journeys (1hr30 ish), and then one day it came on (as well as all the warning lights) and went into limp mode. I put some DPF cleaner in a full tank, and this has run through now, with a fresh tank now in situ. I will do it again in another couple of tanks, but I feel that's maybe keeping that issue at bay for now. (wondering if it's worth taking it for a physical clean somewhere - I see a few places advertising it for \\\~£100)
Essentially it feels like every time a warning light comes on, no matter how minor (cornering light has always popped up every now and then) the car has some kind of crisis of confidence. Apart from the jerking around second gear it drives really well, and I don't feel like there's any other mechanical issues.
Anyone else had anything like this? I am going to take it to the garage, but unsure what to say other than the car is behaving weirdly. I've had a google, and could possibly be a DSG issue with the gears, but I'm hoping for someone with a bit more car knowledge to help me with what to present the garage with? Thanks in advance.
hi all, wondering if there’s something apparent i’m missing. blinkers go fast on the dashboard when im using the stalk but are normal speed when using the hazards, i don’t see any bulbs out or fast blink on the outside nor am i getting any codes with obdeleven. car has been like this since i bought it about a year ago, its just finally bothering me enough to fix

Was pulling the underbody splash guard to start my big maintenance project and I heard hollow things tumbling out.... dry bones! Last time I had this off was about 4 months ago for an oil change. It's parked 2 spots away from a community trash bin.
At first glance, no wiring damage (and no random issues).
