We need AI labels on Spotify and Apple Music

Since the start of 2026, the music world has changed
AI Music has now made up at least 28% up to 40% of daily uploads onto these platforms, and a decent chunk belongs to people pushing out AI music solely for profit over any form of creativity

With the addition of Spotify "carefully" labeling real musicians who do not use AI Generation, their requirements have left many musicians who don’t use any AI Generation and just below this requirement in the dust.

I feel that two additions to both of these platforms will let users / listeners who use these music platforms daily be able to fully understand in a complete transparent way on WHO they are listening to and WHAT they are listening to.

If there is enough evidence to show that the artist on this platform is AI Generated and not a real-life musician, it should have an "May Contain AI Generation" label on the artist profile itself, similar to how Spotify now has "Verified By Spotify" so the listener understands that the person behind the songs they are listening to with full transparency.
If there is enough evidence to show that the song on this platform is AI Generated, it should be listed next to the artist name on these platforms with "May Contain AI Generation", so if a listener finds the song on a "Mix" or a "Radio" they are listening to, they are able to view that the song could have AI Generation involved with it.
Considering that both of these platforms have allowed AI Generated Music to be put on the platform and have started to implement a crude method to verify musicians who don’t use AI at all, we need to at least have full transparency that the track was either made by a real human or made by an AI or an Hybrid AI/Human track

Yes. You must build your track around one of the unused film clips provided from Nobody Here: The Story of Vaporwave, and your beat must use at least one free product from the Komplete Start bundle.

Am I limited to using only the Komplete Start bundle?
Not at all. You are welcome to use any other VST instruments, effects, or plugins. You can also use your own original recordings and third-party sample libraries, provided you own the rights to use them.

Can I submit more than one entry?
To keep things fair, each participant may submit one entry only.

Can I make a beat for more than one clip?
No, please choose only one of the three available clips. You are welcome to choose either the vertical or horizontal format of that clip.

How long does my track need to be?
Your track should cover the entire length of your chosen video clip.

Are collaborations allowed?
No. To simplify prize distribution, submissions must be solo entries.

Can I submit just the audio track?
No, all entries must be submitted as a video.  We want to see how your beat brings the footage to life!

What programs or apps can I use to make music?
You can use any DAW or music-making app, on desktop or mobile, just no AI-generated tracks.

Can I share my video and track on social media?
Of course, we’d love to see your creations! Please tag @ nobodyherefilm and use the hashtag #MadeWithNI on Instagram so we don't miss them.

What's the Best Song on Luxury Elite's World Class That isn't S.W.A.K?

Folks praise this album as one of, if not the, quintessential Luxury Elite album, with a great bulk of its praise being levied towards its opening track, S.W.A.K., which in many ways is her most popular song. While I can't disagree that it's an absolutely sublime piece of the late-night lo-fi sound, I can't help but worry if some of that praise comes from the bias of it being the album's first song, and I feel like we'd do ourselves a disservice if we dismissed all of the other tracks and simply said World Class is excellent because of S.W.A.K. I'm not saying that we are; it's just that the annals of time might not be too kind to the other tracks if we keep putting this opener on a pedestal higher than all the other songs on the album.

So, I ask you folks: What is the best song on the album besides S.W.A.K.? If S.W.A.K. is your absolute favourite track on the album, what is your second favourite?

Me personally? I'm going with Crystal. Even with S.W.A.K. in the picture, this one's always been my favourite. I don't feel like enough people vocally appreciate Luxury Elite's ability to make frequently excellent late-night lo-fi out of Italo-disco, of all genres, and this particular sample of Vivien Vee's Heartbeat is so damn pretty. My honourable mentions go to Marble, Forever, and Signal.

SaturnOS — an unstable archival operating system built to preserve fading memories

Been working on this strange web project inspired by:

vaporwave, damaged media,

and the feeling of discovering something online that maybe wasn’t supposed to survive this long.

The idea behind SaturnOS is that people preserve memories inside the archive —

small emotional fragments tied to sound, images, places, feelings, moments, recordings.

Other users can discover them, listen to them, interact with them, and help keep them from fading away completely.

Some memories remain stable.

Others slowly decay over time through playback instability, tape damage, signal corruption, reconstruction errors, visual tearing, and compression artifacts.

I wanted the entire thing to feel less like a modern social platform

and more like an old machine quietly trying to preserve things it can no longer fully remember.

If anyone wants to explore the archive or preserve something inside it themselves:

memoryframeapp.com

Instagram:

Would genuinely love to see people interact with the system and hear what the experience feels like to others.

Do y'all like abstract rappers like Earl, Mike, Cities Aviv and Slauson Malone?

Just curious. Their production can be a lot like vaporwave. I'm listening to Cities Aviv's Gum a lot and it's pretty much Infinity Frequencies' style of short loops with soul / R&B samples.

Listening to Floral Shoppe in 2016 with friends - Ancient Memory

I dug for a few hours to find these old photos I took - me and 3 other friends getting together on November 17th 2016, smoking up sitting on the floor and listening to the original Youtube upload of Floral Shoppe on all of our phones at the same time while talking about - who even remembers? Definitely peak shit.

I remember very well us trying to synchronise the playback on all the phones, and then we kinda gave up getting it perfect and in result got the most incredible organic delayed version of the album ever performed by devices on the ground.

Do any of you have ancient digital memories like this?

Made this synth menu music myself, does it vibe?

Wanted to add a new game mode so decided to make the music myself. Its a retro-synth styled penta-arcade game named RETROZIUM on google play.

Does it gel with the menu screen ?

would love to have your thoughts :)
