Best vet and prices in town

Hey Vernon. Rave me your favourite vet clinics in town. I have a senior, very anxious kitty who needs an experienced patient vet team. Curious about rates too as they seem to differ.

Who decided these signs were a necessary expenditure for the city?

Why are we catering to the least competent complainers in our society?

A water pipe must’ve burst on the grazing pastures on crown land near longacre today …

I called the rdno and then saw there was a truck there about an hour later, about at the same time that geyser was stopped

Anyone know or would be interested in starting a local book club?

Hey, ive been trying to think of some ways to meet up with and make new friends, and I thought a book club would be a great idea!

Does anyone know of any good ones in town, either public or private, or if you’d be interested in starting one with me?

Some books ive read/am reading lately:

Frankenstein, Mary Shelly
The Will to Change, Bell Hooks
Crime and Punishment, Fyodor Dostoevsky
Pride and prejudice, Jane Austin
Wuthering Heights, Emily Brontë

Can this be bought anywhere nearby?

Any weird little niche store you know that's brought some in? Hoping to not pay $20+ for a can of it but I also *really* want to try it

Vernon AirBnB

Our AirBnB won’t refund our trip, said fires aren’t in Vernon so it’s up to us if we want to forgo ($6000) and cancel.

Thoughts on if we keep our booking and go (with our two children) or try to get credit card insurance to reimburse?

Why are there no breweries in Vernon?

Am I missing something? Kelowna is chock full of them.

What’s up? All I know is there’s BNA and OK Springs.

Anyone else wake up feeling foggy and choky?

The smoke was absolutely abysmal last night and I could smell it seep through the walls occasionally. I've made sure to drink lots of water and I eat fairly healthy, but I still feel like I got all the energy sucked out of me. I got a headache, somewhat dry throat, and had a big nosebleed this morning (lucky I was in the shower so I let it wash off). I know smoke certainly has less than positive health affects on your body, but I've chilled next to big campfires before and never felt this way.

Could this be a placebo from anxiety or does anyone else feel this way? Also is this something I should go to my doctor about?

I feel like we're all gonna come down with random illnesses in the next few years.

Vernon in September

I will be coming to Vernon mid September with a friend, for a sports event, but will have a decent bit of spare time.

Both 40ish female, don't really drink much but up for a little wine or cider tasting - was trying to find other neat things to do in the area and it seems like its too late in the year for a lot of summer stuff, but too early for cool fall things haha.

Would Planet Bee and Davidson Orchards be good options to visit? Is there other hidden gems?

Heard KurSpa is great but can only use if staying there so thats out.

Any neat "hole in the wall" or local favorites for food?

Thanks in advance for any tips or advice, and I hope the fires are resolved soon for all of you living in the area. We get them in our area commonly too, they are so scary and disruptive! Thinking of you all.
