My cat has a small hole above his eye, has anyone seen this before? (Has already seen a vet!)
My cat (10 years old, male) was very sick a few months ago and had a large swelling on his forehead. He was very congested and seemed to struggle lowering his head to eat and drink, which caused him to lose lots of weight very quickly. The vet suggested putting him down but after a cycle of antibiotics and some anti inflammatories he began regaining some weight. The swelling on his head went down a little and is now fully disappeared, but then this hole started leaking. It's almost like he's scratched open the abscess and what would be accumulating is leaking out instead. The vet seems to have decided he will die soon, and says to keep him on the anti inflammatories. He is quite happy, is eating and playing as normal, we just give him his medicine and try to keep the hole clean. Just wondering if anyone has seen this before and if it might be something that will clear up on its own!
