I have been looking at returning to vietnam next year and a friend told be about the 10/10 sales.

But when I search many routes from my city and other cities over many different times of the year I see no difference from normal pricing.

Occasionally I have seen crossed out pricing and a slightly cheaper price (like $7 cheaper).

I also found a list of last minute flight deals on a page and often if I click on them the price shown is not the discount.

What is going on here?

Or does their booking site only show the discount as you are paying? If so they need to state this.

I am interested in flights from australia to ho chi minh but all the selections I check have the old pricing.

I can't see any lower prices at all and none close to the $199AUD inclusive of all taxes etc.

Some person online said it's probably a glitch but it is the same the next day.

How do these sales work?

Or does the price only update at the end of the booking process?
