Banned for counterfeit item?!

I was just banned in vinted for selling a “counterfeit item”, which is not true. I've submitted an appeal but it may take days to get a response. I’ve seen that this happens to a lot of people, since they use AI. Has anyone been banned for this reason and actually gotten your account back???

Are they trying to scam me? URGENT

Hello everyone, so I have sold a samsung galaxy FE 21 and I’ve sold it for 85€. The entire time this person has been nagging me and almost acting like a Karen which should’ve been my first red flag. They’ve received the phone and they sent me a photo that the phone had overheated and it opened which never happened with me in the past 3-4 years that I’ve had it. Now they’re demanding money from me and I don’t know what to do. I really need help, is there any way I could get my phone back and for them to get their money back?

Need advice asap!

So I’m in a pissed off pickle… I bought a pair of linen capris for my daughter for $15. When they arrived she tried them on and loves them! However they are NOT linen or anything close to it. They are definitely a cheap polyester. I filed a problem and said that they weren’t linen and so asked for a partial refund since there is a significant quality discrepancy. I said that my daughter liked them anyway so I would prefer to keep them. The seller refused and wanted to do a refund. But i don’t want to have to pay for return shipping and my daughter likes them. Also it is HER fault- not only did she not lie about material she cut out the tags- only the material ones, not the brand. She said she was doing ME a favor even offering a refund. I showed her comparable polyester versions- $5 ish. No budge. I had asked if she’d split it- but I was open.
So what do I do—- I am PISSED at this scammy scammer(who said they were really nice pants- she had paid $30 for them🤣) and I want to leave her a terrible review- she has only a few reviews so far- but I’d have to keep them to do that. Also I’m sure she’d write awful stuff about me. My daughter would be happy but I’d be chewing glass
Or do I be the bigger person and return them- pay the shipping and have a sad daughter
Or is there another better solution

Oh and I know it’s not much money- but I use the money from what I sell to buy my daughter’s clothes…

Thank you!

People not collecting their orders

I’ve seen a lot of discourse on Tik tok and here about how people treat sellers on Vinted like Amazon prime. I’ve had a few people not collect orders over the last few weeks and I usually ignore them and just accept it as a part of selling but I sent a message to one today (guess I reached the end of my tether). I said “hi, do you still want this item or did you just want to waste everyone’s time”. If I could send it again I would obviously word it differently. I’m just sick of people doing this.

Never in my time on Vinted have I not collected an order, even when we had an electrical emergency and had to stay in a hotel. Even when my grandma was in hospital. I’m sick of getting a sob story every time I’m rightfully annoyed about someone not picking up their parcel. I could give my own story about how I don’t have much time to send it but still manage… I always get a really defensive reply back about how due to chronic illness or having kids or personal reasons. The item only cost £2 which obviously it’s not that serious but I then get called all sorts of names for being upset over £2… it’s more than that.

Everyone has a life. Sorry if this sounds like I have no sympathy I’m just annoyed.

Is Vinted legit?

I live in Western Australia and recently Vinted became available in Australia. I’ve never purchased from there before and the prices seem suspiciously low so wanted to confirm it is legit and if anyone has any experiences they can share!

Thanks in advance

Help me understand selling inexpensive items on Vinted

I'm a total novice and am thinking of selling some small inexpensive items on Vinted in the US. These items are probably worth between $5 and $20 each. I've seen a number of items listed in this price range, and even lower.

Each time I do, I wonder about the economics of these sales. If, for example, something sells for $5, how do the credit card charges and delivery fees get paid? Does the seller have to dig into their pocket to pay these costs? If so, does the seller lose money on each sale?

This reminds me of the joke. "I lose money on each sale, but make up for it in volume."

But seriously, how does this work? Has Vinted made arrangements with the credit card companes, Post Office and delivery services to charge cut rate fees? Even with discounted fees, I can't imagine that much, if anything, is left from a $5 sale.

Can someone please explain to me how small sales work financially. Is there detailed information, or a tutorial, on Vinted's website? If so, where exactly? Have people calculated break even analyses? I'd love to read them.

Thanks for ant assistance!

HELP A buyer out please

I crossed out their name for privacy reasons. I've bought several items on the platform and never had anyone ask me to change what shipping company gets delivered to me. Is their a way to change this? Or should I just ask her to cancel my order. I tried Google but came up with nothing. Any advice here please 🥺

Advice as buyer, damaged item, off platform for return?

Hey all, I received a package, it was broken. Went through through the whole vinted process. Vinted declared the item wasn't packaged well enough and gave me a refund. The seller got nothing, no compensation. Seller wants the item back, but vinted said that if the seller wants it back I've to arrange that with them? Does that mean I need to go off platform to give it back to them??
Any advice appreciated. TYIA
