So no legal sales next year?
They get our hopes up with every new governor but we keep getting fucked.

Do we still get an email from the CCA and forward that to the dispensary, or do we have to use that CCA portal? I am having trouble accessing the CCA portal and haven't received an email from the CCA. Last year, I got the email from my provider and the CCA pretty much at the same time.
So i work a job that operates on a federal contract.
Which means that even though it is legal to partake in cannabis in virginia, I will get fired for it, as they do random drug tests.
I use cannabis frequently to treat a bunch of things,
Anxiety, muscle spasms and twitches, also the occasional ptsd episode.
It allows me to actually relax, and be at peace.
It gives me a moment where I feel like im not fighting for my life.
If I get a medical marijuana card from my doctor would that allow me use it without risking being fired?
And if my doctor cant get me one, where is a good place to get a card for relatively cheap?
Has anybody tried both? The live hash looks more terpy, but costs less. Assuming either would smoke okay using a puffco, but let me know if I’m wrong.
the fact that we are still dealing with these crazy prices in virginia is wild to me. looked at my bank statements from last month and the amount of money I threw at the fairfax location for dry, popcorn buds is depressing. sixty bucks for a half gram cartridge of basic distillate is literal highway robbery and they really have a monopoly on the local market and they know it
been trying to find ways to bypass the va dispensary markup lately. last weekend when I was up near the border i tried out a delivery service called Weedz instead of dealing with the usual line and price gouging at the medical shops. The stuff actually smells fresh and doesn't crumble into dust when you touch it, plus it didn't drain my entire wallet. the packaging was completely discreet too which is nice since my neighbors are kinda nosey
idk how the state expects the mmj program to thrive when they let these multi-state operators charge premium prices for subpar product. it feels like you have to go out of your way to find a decent alternative that doesn't rip you off.
Yo, I’ve been seeing all these ads for "same-day" medical certs here in VA and honestly I'm callin' BS. it sounds way too easy.
Now that we don't need the physical card from the state (thank God), I get that it’s just a digital PDF now. So technically once the doc finishes the video call and sends it over, I can just head to the dispo?
But has anyone actually gotten it the same day? Or is "same day" just some marketing crap and I'll be waiting until next week? If u did a renewal or a new consult lately, how fast did the email actually show up? trying to figure out if i should book now or if I'm just gonna get ghosted for a few days
She can call it a “hemp shop” on the news all she wants, but this looked a lot more like a trap spot than anything. She is not even attempting to hide the fact that this is a marijuana store.
If you check Virginia’s retail hemp registration list, “The Cannabis Outlet” isn’t even listed. That alone should raise questions.

They openly marketed themselves as a cannabis dispensary despite retail marijuana sales still being illegal in Virginia. And the owner absolutely knew the law — she literally helped patron the legislation that would’ve legalized those sales.

Whether the enforcement was politically motivated or not, operating an obviously illegal business doesn’t suddenly become okay. The bigger question is: if this was so blatant, why did enforcement wait this long to act?
