Visa appointment booking VAC Mumbai

Hello,

I'm genuinely lost right now not knowing what next step to do. I got admit from Uni zu Koln for Master’s program with APS.

I uploaded all my documents and initiated a VFS service fee of Rs 1093. Amount was debited by my end but I didn't get a payment receipt because I clicked back button (how else was I supposed to pay via UPI though). I mailed them and explained everything with my bank statements as well.

My preliminary review is done, I want to book an appointment but it is showing that there are no slots available. Is this how It is? The support team told me to have a new account and try booking an appointment but same issue there.

Please find the ss.

I really need some guidance for booking an appointment and let me know where im going wrong. Need a visa before 28 sept.

Pic 1 - unable to book appointment

Pic 2 - shows there's no application with my new email and contact

Pic 3 - says i need to pay again, with my original email id and contact

Received Email from CSP to submit application today - Bangalore mission

Hello All,

I’m a student from India and belong to the APS category under Bangalore mission. After apparently 26 days, I received official communication from CSP portal to submit my application today. I had initially applied on 24th July and got into the waiting list.

Today - 19th August around 1pm IST received the email. Now my application status shows - ‘in preliminary review’. I heard that people who joined waiting list around July 22nd to 28th - Bangalore mission were apparently removed out of waiting list today.

Hoping y’all (ones who joined waiting list btw 22nd-28th July) were able to submit your applications today.

Thought of sharing, hope it helps!!

Kolkata VFS

Hey guys,

I have an admit from TUM for the MSc Quantum Science and Technology. These guys were making it very late so I decided to proceed with my SBI Educational Loan Application with my LMU MSc Physics admit. I have spoken to the bank officials and the loan process is being amended according to the new university.

However, I am very scared that I will not get a VISA on time because now we are in the last 10 days of August. My classes start on October 12.

Let’s say that I apply by the 25th-26th of AUGUST on the CSP portal with no missing documents, do I have a realistic chance of getting a VISA on time?

I haven’t even booked flight tickets and the prices will skyrocket by the time I get my VISA. Everything is stressing me tf out right now.

Can everyone mention their status regarding their application? For those have received your VISA what is your timeline?

Guys please reply as IT WILL be helpful for others as well !

EDIT: Sorry I meant 25-26th of August. Not September.

Will my Masters student visa get rejected for 2 years gap ?

I have a 2-year gap after 12th. During that period, I joined B.Pharm but later discontinued it and joined BCA, which I completed in 2025.

My concern is that in the CV I already uploaded to the CSP portal, I mentioned only my BCA and did not mention my 10th/12th or the discontinued B.Pharm course.

Could this cause a visa rejection or create an issue during the interview?

Study-APS CSP Waiting List: 1–2 Weeks → Less Than a Week. How Long Until Preliminary? DELHI VFS

I applied under the Study-APS category on Friday night and joined the waiting list (Delhi vfs). At that time, it showed an estimated waiting time of 1–2 weeks. By Tuesday, it changed to “less than a week.” For those who have experienced this before, how long did it take for you to move from the waiting list to the preliminary stage?

German National Visa (Study) rejected by Mumbai Consulate for jurisdiction/residence doubts — need advice on reapplying

Applied for my German National Visa (student, Section 16b) through VFS Mumbai. Got a call from the consulate 2 days before the decision asking about my previous employment. Today I got my passport back with a rejection letter, but it's not a refusal on merits, they said my application "cannot be processed" because they had doubts about my habitual residence in their jurisdiction (Maharashtra/Gujarat/MP etc.).

Background: I worked in Gurugram for about a year, last working day was July 30th, and I've since moved back to Mumbai (my home city). All my current documents (passport, Aadhar, application) show my Mumbai address, but I think the recency of the move plus not having my relieving letter yet from my last employer made my Mumbai residence look thin/unconvincing to them.

They've refunded the visa fee (per the letter) and returned my documents (they didn't retain copies), so do I need to reapply through CSP and rebook VFS?

Questions for anyone who's dealt with something similar:

  1. Besides a relieving letter and stronger residence proof (rent agreement/utility bill), what else helped you prove "habitual residence" when you'd recently relocated?
  2. Does a cover letter explaining the timeline (recent relocation) actually help, or do they mostly just go by documents?
  3. Anyone had a similar bounce-back and successfully reapplied at the same consulate afterward? How long did the second round take?
  4. My CSP portal still shows "decision pending" even though I already have the passport back with the rejection letter, anyone else seen this lag?
  5. The letter says my visa fee will be refunded and to contact VFS for it, but I haven't received anything yet. Anyone know typical VFS refund timelines, or if this needs active follow-up on my end?

Trying to sort this before my October 1st move-in date for Winter Semester, so any insight is appreciated.

Delhi VAC — CSP Waiting List

Hi everyone,
I applied for my German student visa through the CSP on 12 August 2026 under Student Visa – Studies with APS certificate, with VAC New Delhi as my jurisdiction.
My application is still showing “You are on the waiting list”.
Has anyone else applied around 11–13 August for New Delhi and already moved out of the waiting list?
If yes, could you please share:
Date of CSP application
How many days you waited
When you received the preliminary review/correction
Whether your waiting time showed 2–8 weeks
Just trying to understand the current timeline for Delhi

Hyderabad CSP

Applied to CSP Portal for student visa on 7th August

Recieved Corrections on 14th August and re-submitted instantly.

No reply from them as of 19th August

Anyone else with a similar timeline?

What is up with this VFS/VAC Hyd?

People used to get CSP approved faster

Also does booking a slot before CSP completition for a future date effect this process?

Why is Suddenly German Embassy Delhi rejecting application for students doing 1 year to join direct Bachelor at public university.

Guyz , Since last 6 to 7 months. I have been seeing various rejection letter from Embassy that why you want to leave your college after doing 1 year . But it's their own fucking criteria then Why the fuck are they giving Aps with direct bachelor eligibility. I ll be also applying after doing 1 year from India in coming months. But I think I also get rejected due to the same reasons .

VFS Germany Student Visa Appointment Confirmation – Name Order Swapped

Hi everyone,

I recently received my VFS appointment confirmation for German student visa, and I noticed that my name is mentioned in the wrong order.

My first name and last name have been swapped in the appointment confirmation. Both names are correct, but they are displayed in the opposite order.

Has anyone faced this issue before? What should I do now? Will this cause any problem at the appointment, or is the order not important?

I have already contacted the VFS helpdesk regarding this issue, but I haven't received any response yet.

Should I wait for their response, or can I attend the appointment with the confirmation as it is?

Any advice from someone who has faced a similar issue would be really helpful. Thanks!

Changed university after booking German student visa appointment — anyone actually done this?

Hi everyone,

I’m applying for a German student visa from India and would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually been in a similar situation.

I started my visa/CSP process using an admission from University A, and my VFS appointment is in about 10 days. I have now received a better/preferred admission from University B and plan to study there instead.

Has anyone received a new admit before their VFS appointment and simply taken the new admission letter + updated supporting documents to the existing appointment and asked VFS to update the university?

Or did you continue the visa process with University A, receive the visa, enrol at University B and handle the university change after reaching Germany?

I also have a question about travel dates. If the visa is issued based on University A but I ultimately enrol at University B, can I travel to Germany after University A’s enrolment deadline, provided I’m already enrolled at University B? Or could this create an issue at immigration?

I’ve contacted VFS as well, but I’m mainly looking for first-hand experiences from people who have actually done this recently, especially through VFS India.

Thanks!

Rejected

My student visa got rejected for DIT. What should I do?? They give me three reasons for rejection.

  1. I don't uploaded my 1st year marksheet ( But I have uploaded them on the csp (portal)

  2. My reason dropping out from my college and moving to germany in not clear.

  3. My marks are not sufficient but I have surpassed the minimum 70% criteria for german universites.

What should I do now??

Plz help it's urgent.

VFS Mumbai timeline - Student Visa 🇩🇪 !

Hey all😄,

I received my Student Visa for Germany on 29th July! 🇩🇪

Timeline is stated below which can give future applicants an insight:

VFS Mumbai:

06th July: CSP submission at Digital Diplo website.

06th July: Visa application payment at VFS.GLOBAL website

13th July: CSP status moved to “In Review/In Progress”

14th July: Received document corrections (4-5 of them) and were resolved within an hour by uploading rectified docs.

14th July: Booked VFS appointment for 17th July!

17th July: Attended my VFS appointment. DID NOT OPT for the Premium Lounge. That’s actually a waste of money methinks.

I only carried:

-Passport

-Visa appointment PDF

-Checklist form

-Originals (10th, 12th, Bachelor’s)

20th July: Received a call (09:32 AM) from the Consulate stating I had to verify my current address through my current employer for “place of work” and “mode of work”. Attached the document in the email they had sent 10 mins after the call within 1 PM.

29th July: Received notifications on both email and SMS (10:42 AM) that passport was dispatched from Germany Consulate in Mumbai and is in transit to the Mumbai Mahalakshmi Operation Center in India.

29th July: Collected my passport at 03:36 PM at VFS Mumbai. I can see the German visa stamped and approved. 🎉

Overall, the process was extremely quick. Hopefully this timeline gives other applicants an idea of what to expect. VFS Mumbai was seamless 🫡✨
