Visvim boots have fake stitching. Quality for good?

After less than a year of around 20 wears, this happens to my 7 Hole '73 Folk boots. The outsole wasn't stitched, despite the appearance of thread "sewn" in to the midsole. Looks like the outsole is only glued. Your thoughts?
