[HIRING] 2 voice actors (female/non-binary) for an ongoing audio drama

Hi everyone! I’m the writer of Storm Chasers, an action-oriented audio drama based on a D&D campaign. We’re starting production on our second season and are looking to bring in a few new voices to round out the existing cast.

We’ll be doing live recording sessions over Discord - the pay rate is $25/hour. The season will consist of 13 30-45 minute episodes.

We’re currently looking for two voices. One female (RP British Accent) and one feminine-leaning/higher register for a gender-fluid character.

This is an ensemble cast, and we’re looking for talent with range and open to voicing additional minor or secondary characters throughout the season.

The full character breakdown and additional details can be found at our casting document here

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1F6jrXtDIFWhN8X627jkCpB-hv8s0BfnzwlF816A7-fI/edit?usp=sharing

Thanks everyone, and looking forward to hearing your auditions!

Narrator Needed.

Hello everyone,

I am currently filming a short movie and am in need of a narrator to read a handful of lines! I am seeking someone with a similar tone to the one in the video linked below.

https://media.isrucamp.com/media/movienight01-bodega.mp4

I am in a time crunch so I ideally I would like to have the lines read, recorded, and emailed to me by Tuesday (07/07) 12:00PM EST (I know it's soon).

If anyone is interested, I am compensating fairly due to the urgency. $50-100.

If interested email allezarchive@gmail.com with a recording reading the following.

"Predator: An organism that primarily obtains food by the killing and consuming of other organisms".

"Especially: an animal that preys on other animals".

Thanks in advance!

Need a Male for a halftime show

Hey all!

For my school's marching band we are looking for a voice-actor in the baritone -bass range kind of a charismatic/authoritative voice to record some voice lines for us to help push the narrative of our show this Fall. The theme is relatable to Louisiana Voodoo kind of like Princess in the Frog's Dr. Facilier (Keith David).

Musician makes a deal with a magician in exchange for musical talent. It not a singing role. Your voice will be played over our audio system throughout the show while one of our members "acts as your character."

You will get credited for your work at every performance for helping my kids complete their show!

It's total about 1-2 minutes of audio and 150-200 words.

Thanks!

Here is a demo script if you want to try it to the backing track (Google Drive Link) played by my drumline.

Saxophonist performs on a nightclub stage is New Orleans The performance is so bad he gets booed off the stage from a very displeased crowd.

As he steps off the stage he is approached by a mysterious man....

DR. VOODOO (a very grimaced expression) “Ooooooo… tough crowd, kid.....”

(Charismatically)
“Allow me to introduce myself.....Some call me a magician.....Some call me a miracle worker.......And some…call me when they run out of options.”

“Now tell me, friend, what would you give to turn those jeers into cheers? Those boo’s into WOO’s (chuckles)? What’s your price… for applause?”

Here is my email! I'll let you know if you have it!

We're a small video game studio, and we built our own platform to hire and work with voice actors. Would love you to tear it apart.

We're building a pixel-art MMORPG, and we're at the point where we need voices for our characters. Like everyone, we've watched the industry drift toward AI voices and honestly, the reason we built this is that we'd rather work with real actors and make working with them genuinely easy.

The problem is that when we looked around, there wasn't a platform that made it simple for a game studio to audition, cast, and actually record lines with voice actors over the long haul. So we made one.

Here's how it works:

  • You audition for a role.
  • You get the part, and you unlock all the quests your character appears in.
  • read and record your takes right inside the app, record, trim, edit, redo, all in the browser.
  • We review each take, approve it, or send feedback so you can do another pass.
  • When we write new quests or add content, you get notified there's fresh stuff waiting, log in, and record it.
  • You get paid per word (we default to $0.05 per word but we need to add the ability for you to set your rate?), and the role is yours for the long term, not a one-off gig. (payouts coming soon)

It's early and rough and plenty of features are still missing, which is exactly why we're posting, we want your feedback. Even if you're not looking to audition, going in and telling us what's broken, confusing, or missing would help us enormously.

The whole point is that if human voice acting is going to hold its ground against those who choose AI, we need to make the tooling around it better, less hassle, faster turnaround, whilst building a a real ongoing relationship with a role. For now, we're just trying to make it easy for us to cast and work with actors in our game.

If you fancy auditioning for one of our characters, sign up here: https://voicebooth.app/ And if you just want to poke holes in it, that's just as welcome.

Happy to answer anything in the comments.

(Paid) Looking for a male actor for a new YT channel ($60/video ~11min)

(Please read this post until the end. I won't reply to any message that doesn't follow the instructions. The rate is listed in the title)

Hi! I'm looking for an experienced male voice actor from the US, around 20 to 35 years old, for a YouTube channel that's currently in development. Ideally, this will become a long term opportunity, but for now I can only guarantee the first video. Also, these videos take some time to produce, so there will be a gap between each video.

The style of the channel will be similar to one called Jackpockets. Please take a look at it so you can better understand what I'm looking for. The voice doesn't have to sound the same, it just needs to fit the style of the videos.

I'm not looking for an overly acted, movie type of voice. I'm looking for something more natural, just like in the reference channel.

Requirements:

- Good quality audio
- Male, around 20 to 35 years old
- A portfolio. Ideally it includes previous YouTube videos, but that's not required.

Please do not apply if you don't meet all of these requirements, and make sure your initial message includes a link to your portfolio. I will only reply to DMs, not comments on this post.

Your voice will not be used for AI training or any other AI related purposes. Also, I'm Spanish, so if you happen to speak Spanish, that's definitely a plus, but not a deciding factor.

Thanks!

[HIRING] 2 young adult male voice actors, 1 British 1 Texan American

I'm working on a personal project of making an animated biopic for the band, The Monkees. Currently I'm making sort of a 'proof of concept' for myself that's just a few minutes long. Hiring for Davy Jones (voice example) and Mike Nesmith (voice example). I've been struggling with finding VA that I feel match these 2 in particular.

18 words for Mike, 25 for Davy. $50 each to also secure commercial rights (though in full transparency I DOUBT that especially in this sample form it would be used commercially in any capacity. Just covering my bases lol)

[HIRING] Female British / Slight Chinese Accent - Comic Trailer

Hi all,

I'm looking for older female voices for a 30-second comic book trailer.

Budget is USD 50 - 100 for approx 50 words.

The character is old, wise, cynical. Sara Kestelman's work as Kreia in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II is a great example of what I'm looking for. Slight Chinese accent (Mainland, not Cantonese) preferable, but RP British is also acceptable.

And, of course, I'll need licence to use that voice to market and sell the comic.

If interested, please provide a voice sample / portfolio.

Older Male African American VA Needed - $150, 950 Words (MORE WORK LATER)

Hi there!!

I'm making a story-based video game with 3D characters similar to the Nancy Drew series. I am in need of an older male African American VA. The role is currently for 900-950 words, but is only for the demo I'm releasing. At a later date, I would need a lot more work done (possibly beyond 5000+ words for the whole game), so I would need someone who is interested in or able to do a bigger project. I am currently unsure how much dialogue this character would need in the full game, but once I have a better idea, we can discuss the payment for the whole project. Looking for a normal voice and tempo with not so much over-acting (a little is fine). The total payment is $150 for just this work alone, not the entire project.

Character:

The character is named Charles Willoughby, who is the Dean of the college that the game is set at. He is an older gentleman (50s-60s), African American, stern, well spoken/educated, and has a lot on his plate given his role.

Setting:

There are two scenes where his voice is needed. In the first one, he is calling the player to ask him to visit him in his office. In the second, he's discussing the murder investigation that he's giving to the player character.

Script for Audition:

Willoughby: "Hello. Is this Mr. Chase? This is Charles Willoughby speaking."

---

Willoughby: "Quinn Whittaker was a student at Briarwood... up until a month ago, when she was found deceased outside of the library."

Willoughby: "Furthermore, the board wants the two of you to begin investigating right away. With all the students gone for the break, this may be the only opportunity you will have to conduct a full and proper investigation."

There is much more dialogue (about 6-8 minutes worth) than what's given here, but as it's large and has multiple scenes, I will have to share my script with you. The script given is just to help me envision your voice onto the character, but if you would prefer to send in your own work, that's fine too.

To avoid scammers please do not send a DM!! Payment will be made securely through Paypal. Thanks :)

Here is the link to the audition:

Looking for a "erm actually" Voice for gaming content (Male, 20-25 preferably around US, Canada, UK)

Disclaimer: I'm a growing content creator with a limited budget; I constantly increase rates, and I'm looking for someone who understands that this is a long-term project that will provide better rates moving forward.

Hi,

I'm a gaming content creator focused on gaming news and rant-style content, and I'm looking for a voice actor who can deliver emotionally driven VO's. I'm looking for something like this: https://www.tiktok.com/@jthefrog0/video/7656085582824607008?q=jthefrog&t=1782773530379

I pay weekly (every Saturday or Sunday), and my current rate is $2 per finished minute. Most of my scripts are fairly short—usually around 70–100 words, which ends up being roughly 30–40 seconds of audio. Even for those, I have a minimum rate of $2.

On average, I produce 5–10 Shorts per week, although if you have more availability, I could see that going up to 15 at the most.

I also offer a performance bonus for sponsored content. If a sponsored video performs well (based on every 1,000 views), you'll receive 10% of the revenue from each milestone (100$ made, 200$ made, etc).

Every few months, I also produce a long-form video, typically anywhere between 4,000 and 9,000 words.

This opportunity would be a great fit if you're someone who can:

* Return voice-overs within 24 hours when possible. (I'm reasonable and understand that life happens—if you're busy, just let me know so I can plan accordingly. Our turnaround is fairly fast-paced due to external deadlines.)
* Use Notion to keep the workflow organized.
* Enjoy putting real emotion and personality into your performances.

If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, please leave a message.

Need 2 Roles filled for Serial Killer horror series that is special to me

Hello! My series is about two lesbian serial killers who run a satanic coven in Arizona. The cast of characters is huge and it's for a simple audio drama that I make myself. I am offering $40 per episode as I am only one person doing everything myself (speech design, sound engineering, etc.) I am consistent with work though, so once you're locked in, you're in, and you will get paid :). Episodes come within every 2 to 3 months. This new episode will be in 2 months, so im trying to secure actors before then. I'm looking for two types of actors at the moment:

  1. Darren, a serial killer from South Park Texas who hunts various types of people. For this role, I need a black male who can talk street-wise, ghetto flavor, gangsta as Hell, but also psycho. Think, Ganksta NIP (Horrorcore rapper), and X-Raided (Horrorcore rapper). There is some use of the N word but it's done tastefully and realistically. Giving he is from a rough part of Texas, from the hood, and street smart, I figured he'd use that word. He's also incredibly violent but chill at times.

  2. Clara, she is a 132 year old serial killer who looks 40 years old forever. She was born in 1887, and was a beautiful black woman who suffered immense trauma from the KKK, outlaws, and so on. She started killing them and hunting them, and eventually she became so violent that innocents weren't off the table. She has a southern drawl, very seductive, sexual at times, very beautiful, womanly, etc.

Once she did the blood pact with her goddess, it turned her skin permanently dark gray. All of those who seek immortality become gray, though she still retains her black beauty.

Warning for anyone interested: THIS SERIES IS INCREDIBLY DARK AND VIOLENT. It is very pro LGBTQ+, but with a mix of Gen X offensive content such as: Extreme violence, occasional sexual violence, harsh words, gore, intense lust with violence, etc. It is very much an 18+ role.

Good news: all the people who currently work on this project with me, have become fans of it and even said it is super fun to be a part of. So I have no doubts we will all have fun, get along, and make some quality dark horror fiction!

(Keep in mind: my series isn't edgy, it's dark. So nothing cringe you'll find here)

2 Roles Needed for a future audio drama episode

I am currently making a horror series about serial killers who kill in a Satanic coven. The main characters are two lesbian killers who have a wholesome relationship.

Here are the roles needed:

  1. Kay, she is the wife of a serial killer who hunts pedophiles and kills them. She isn't a killer, but she is a character that I made in 2006 (when I was 9), so her voice has to be perfect. This role is for $45. Kay is Japanese, but she doesn't have an accent, she is bubbly, punk, soft, caring, kind, and giving. Dm me if interested.

  2. This one is different!

This one is for the synopsis and chapter narrator of the audio drama. I'm looking for someone (a male) who sounds exactly like the narrator of Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen for PlayStation 1. His voice is smooth, archaic, classic, spooky, and theatrical. He has an evil sound but regal. This one is $35 due to how short it is. If you've played the game before, you'll know what I'm talking about.
