Unbothered.
I just know poison goes brrrr
Like if anyone could explain the effects of each status, and how you'd rank them, that would be great.
Really enjoying the game overall, but a minor point of critique on the Abyss.
The idea of "risking it all" in the abyss is cool in concept, but after playing for a while now I feel that it has unintended gameplay affects.
There is a pretty substantial time period after the campaign but before you are 50 wrangler level that you want to finish all the ship progression and begin moving toward Max late game voidlings. During this time you want to be doing the abyss to begin unlocking catalysts but there is a catch! You are usually using a weaker voiding that has a very real chance of dying even in the first 10 stages and therefore risking it in the abyss is just usually not worth your time. (please note i am playing on the hardest difficulty and you will get one shot if the wrong elite spawns even in early abyss levels).
I found that this simply made me not play anything outside of abyss level 1 for quick breeding till i had wrangler 50 and a seriously powerful voidling because it was just more efficient to do so.
The player should be encouraged to see if they can go deeper and deeper without threat of their time being 100% wasted. I could see versions of the abyss that every 10 levels your rewards are locked in so at least you don't lose everything, but until you are done with progression (making death in the abyss meaningless anyways) there is just 0 reason to risk it all.
TL:DR - death in the abyss isn't scary later in the game cause you don't worry about losing resources at that point, and is too punishing early at the very time you actually need those resources. Losing everything only serves to make the early late game feel far worse from a grind perspective.
Apparently there are corrupted catalysts
Got lucky and found 4 of them!
what do yall think are the best/most fun perks and abilities?
i want to see what everyone thinks
Idle Farming in Abyss
I think I managed to finally get a build that destroys everything and stays alive, no need for any interaction. I know some people won't like it but I love it
Made it to floor 200 and figured I'd record the last 5 levels
I was experimenting with Ur-Sek builds for endgame, noticed I got pretty far, so I decided to record it before I called it quits. Accidentally hit my hotkey for muting desktop before I started recording, so no audio unfortunately. Ur-Sek is busted even without any mutations, built in bleed and healing on primary makes them my personal pick for strongest voidling. Impending Doom didn't even trigger once.
First perfect Voidling. Easily gets to Abyss 50+
This bad boy is an absolute blast (pun fully intended) to play. Even able to survive and bring down those Elites who take drastically reduced damage while taking chunks off of them.

Perks are:
●Rejuvenating Siphon (For heals, as you are spamming your primary to kill flyers)
●Reservoir Overflow (the random nuclear explosion is fun)
●Amplification (stacking this with constant Cannon Ball usage helps chunk even the toughest enemy)

My highest Abyss level I've gotten to was 56, and the only reason I stopped is that I wanted to go back and hatch my 100+ eggs
Finally got my dual natured nimiod :)
though the stats aren't all that great yet nothing a little breeding wont fix just by stat donning over and over :)
My Ur-Sek abyss 60
Just completed an abyss 60. Didnt have optimal catalysts but I do now! Want to go for higher now but anyone have a better heal idea? I couldnt use fast second form because Things were dying too quick that I couldnt benefit from fire healing and I was killing myself.
*Update*
Moved to Vampiric, ditched the fire for plasma and its pretty much Godmode. Got to abyss 70 but it was 3am and dont want to get told off by the mrs so I stopped. Equipped the good catalysts, just missing 1 more corrupted. See how far we get, havent looked at perks properly yet may experiment replacing decay
Since a lot of people have made it to the endgame already, drop some ideas for new Voidlings here!
I'd love to have a plant Voidling someday, like a Venus Flytrap that grows copies of itself that act like bear traps, or a pitcher plant that sucks up enemies and uses them as projectiles.
Breeding Info?
I love the game but find myself getting really overwhelmed with the breeding aspect. Is there anywhere I can find basic, easy to understand breeding information? I've searched through this sub but I'm confused.

Should I be max leveling voidlings before I breed them? Should the voidlings I breed have their skill points balanced? Or, for example, should I breed one voidling who has all points put into strength with another voidling who has all points put into health?

Sorry if this post is confusing or doesn't make sense. Any useful info would be greatly appreciated because right now I'm only playing about 20% of the time in game, the other 80% is spent trying to figure out who to breed, and if I train them before I breed etc
Stuck under the ground
It happened twice, I got stuck for a while, the first time it was on area level 50, I stayed stuck, but when I died I got to keep what I found and the second time, I got unstuck out of nowhere
This guy is fun as hell
Seriously, make room for frenzied on your Nimiod. You won't regret it.
Haven't seen anyone mention it yet...
Can we talk about how good the OST is on the last level before the void??
Notes on Gwigoon Minion elemental builds
I've been doing some testing with Gwigoon minions and how they could be used for elemental builds.
This is what I have found so far, please let me know if they are wrong or incomplete:
- The only minions that appear to apply status effects are the "funky ones".
- They do NOT trigger any perk for status like on-inflict or the bonus damage ones. This includes the on-death lingering pool from the upgrade skill.
- They also do not appear to inherit your essence value.
That together seems to sharply limit the use of elemental builds for these guys. The minions seem only useful as mostly straight damage.
I’m going to say the quiet part out loud why isn’t this game multiplayer or have a multiplayer mode?
Tell me why ? Ain’t nothing but a heartache? Tell me why ? Ain’t nothing but a mistake, Tell me why?
