Warning for all AX attendees. MowtenDoo is there in person

Just saw some tweets of him being at AX this morning, and wanted to give a fair warning to all. For those who don't know, He used to work with Vshojo and was called out for his creepy ass behavior both offline and online. He once tried to force Tobs to doing coke at a party once. He might worry if Athel sees his ass.

Too much pdf in the Vtubing community.

Now listening carefully; I understand Neuro and Evil are AI and not Human beings, but regardless they are still depicted and resemble young children. They even act like children at times too! There is nothing wrong with that…

However There is something wrong with being sexually attracted to AI that resemble children. I find it filthy and disgusting how many (undoubtedly old chopped lonely men) find them to be sexually attractive, or otherwise jerk their PP’s to them.

I understand you may not find this to be a big deal because they are not human, but still, It’s clear that there is a number of ppl in the vtubing space who find childlike figures sexually attractive, and that is alarming in of itself…

and it makes the vtubing space look deranged and full of creeps.

Why do so many VTuber not care?

(Racist and fascist chuds, this is not for you. We know what you are and that you do not care)

Another VTuber I liked to watch / warmed up to over the last couple of weeks is collabing with Kitsunero and Rosiebellmoo right now...

And I wonder why. Do they just not know? Are they really this blind to not see the shit these people are doing and only care for streaming? Or are they even sympathetic to these fascist VTubers?

I just don't get it...

The worst part is that, as a viewer, I can't even bring it up anywhere / to the attention of the VTuber outside of Twitter, because I would be banned from their mods on either the Twitch channel or Discord server.

I guess this is more of a rant than real drama, but still...

Part 2 - subreddit slowly becoming an “ I don’t like this Vtuber discourse”

I’m just keep it real and keep it honest, Vtuber drama has so little rules that a lot of people are just posting witch hunting content or out of context clips , with the lack of stricter rules instead of this subreddit becoming a more structured criticism of a Vtuber’s ideals or views on society, it’s more of a “lets harass these vtubers or this specific Vtuber and pray that their career crashes”
The phase harasser for an incident , is one
The constant drama farmer or bait post from out of context Vtuber clips is another , these should be remove since they’re just karma farming or bot post,

Just my take on it
Oh last thing, some of these vtubers don’t deserve to be harassed since a lot of folks like to go off clips and not streams to base their take.

Am I crazy for finding these vtubers being racist funny? I don't mean laughing with them I mean at them. Like yeah haha I'm the n word, but you're a 20 something year old weeb who still hasn't gotten over being bullied in middle school and is taking out on people who you can't and won't ever talk to

I’d rather have a trainee program than keep getting rejected at auditions. You have a better chance of joining Hololive now than before - if you work for it.

I think the trainee system is simply a result of Cover receiving far too many applications every time auditions open and realizing they were probably missing out on a lot of talented people who came up just short. Instead of throwing those applicants away, they take the ones with the most potential and put them through a training program.

Would you rather they reject everyone who isn't already good enough, or give promising applicants a chance to improve through proper training?

I see this as a win. Instead of throwing away talented applicants because they aren't ready on day one, Cover is investing in them and helping them reach their full potential. Instead of having no chance at all, you now at least have a path to getting in.

As far as we know, there isn't even a fixed limit on how many trainees can eventually debut. It's entirely possible that everyone who proves themselves will make it. And if they don't? That's fine too. At least they can say they had a real opportunity instead of being eliminated during the audition process without ever getting the chance to improve.

The simpler Live2D rigs also make perfect sense. They're trainees, not official Hololive talents. It doesn't make much sense to spend a lot of money on a full production model before you've even decided whether someone will stay with the company. You invest more once they've proven they're the right fit.

People also need to remember that this isn't the same Hololive it was five or six years ago. VTubing has become mainstream, the talent pool is much deeper, and viewer expectations are much higher. Cover already manages around 80 talents. How is a new applicant supposed to stand out among dozens of already talented creators without some kind of structured training?

To me, this isn't Cover being cheap or lowering standards. It's the opposite. They're creating a way to develop talented people who might have otherwise been rejected outright, while maintaining the quality people expect from Hololive. That sounds like a better system for both the company and the applicants.

---

Side note about the "Cover is cheaping out on the models" argument:

No, shutting down a game that reportedly cost $14 million to develop over six years doesn't suddenly mean the company has a $14 million hole in its bank account. That's not how business or accounting works.

More importantly, they're trainees. It doesn't make much financial sense to spend a large amount on fully featured models for people who haven't officially joined the company yet. A simpler rig is perfectly reasonable for a training program.

The logic behind this criticism just doesn't hold up. It feels like some people have already decided they want to be angry and are working backward to justify it.

Can someone explain the issue with Phase Connect?

So I occasionally watch Bibi Biscuit and Chisaka Airi, and I find them rather entertaining at times. However Hololive is still where I mostly get my vtubing from, so I guess my question is, what's the deal with Phase Connect? I see the company and some of its talents getting a lot of hate but i'm not really sure why. can someone educate me?

Where are those saying Saba just streams for money?

Remember a couple months back when she got a ton of backlash online from people pointing out that she announced merch, and then disappeared? Basically saying she just does this for money and takes advantage of her fans who kept re-upping their memberships.

Well, not only did she turn off memberships a month ago, she also had the perfect opportunity for more merch with either her recent birthday (the 20th) and her 1 year anniversary (the 28th), both of which she missed due to this illness she’s afflicted by.

I’m just wondering if those people from a couple months ago still think she isn’t streaming due to laziness and just does this for money. It’s very evident that isn’t the case.

I wonder if Leaflit would say the same thing about the white South Africans that were allowed to enter the US thanks to Donald Trump😅
