Recos for war metal heavy on the grind influences, esp. 2-steps

Some of my favorite war metal especially the early shit borrows from grindcore. Sorry, no points for the super obvious shtuff like Conqueror and ASM. Although my favorite parts from ASM's tunes are the mosh-friendly two-step parts, they know what they're doing. Revenge are the masters at those abrupt tempo switch-ups to something groovy and doomy. Almost more sinister for being rare moments of coherency bookended by all the chaotic noise.

And if there's the odd fill to like, 'invoke' the appropriate sections here and there that would be even more sick, but I understand that's a bit of a tall ask.

Is this death or war metal?

Kaamos - Lucifer Rising

I have a playlist and it contains 200 album. All of the albums are black metal or war metal. I don't want to death metal in my playlist.

This album is in my playlist. It is death metal according to metal archive. But it is like war metal to my ears. Pretty similar to war metal. But... I couldn't decide.

I am in a dark dilemma.

I will remove it from my playlist if it is death metal. But if it is war metal, it will be stay in my playlist.

Please help me.

Patch Haul

One last patch haul for my WIP war metal vest. Ordered through Temporal Dimensions during their big sale at the end of May and the package got held up at Canadian customs for two weeks lmao. At least it’s finally here.

The album with the most hatred and aggressiveness?

For you, what is the album that releases and spits out the most hatred and resentment of war metal? Whether for their extreme lyrics, angry cries, and so on.

I know this is a demo, but for me, it complies with what I just told you, it is too chaotic :>

I do find the sheer visceral reaction that some people get very funny, when the band is simply just mentioned.

Also sankara is far from peak war metal

Albums similar to these?

I have never really enjoyed to classic war metal sound but its been growing on me recently. Anything similar to these would be great, some melodic stuff would be good too

While not my favorite War album, this might be the genre's magnum opus.

I know they're are plenty of classics, but I feel this album surpasses them. It's hammering, punishing, and catchy all while being incredibly ambitious and filled with incredible writing. I can't believe this album is barely talked about in War Metal. Hell, Heresiarch in general are crazy underrated.

The duality of man

Saw Dorian Electra a couple weeks ago and got the CD and artbook from the merch stand. I have been anxiously awaiting the new Ride for Revenge which absolutely rips. When I saw NWN also had the Timo Ketola book I had to snatch it up. Thought it was a funny dichotomy y’all would enjoy
