Why does it seem like duck hunting is simultaneously getting more popular yet many are getting out of it at the same time?

So from my perspective in the upper Southeast, KY/TN. That duck hunting is getting more popular in terms of interest for new and existing hunters, especially coming from out of state. Simultaneously I have several buddies who said "they're done" with duck hunting and have completely got out of it, sadly including ones I duck hunted with when I first got into it 4 years ago, because the hunting ain't what it used to be, aint worth the chase, its expensive, whatever. I've noticed this trend too. Have this been y'alls experience?

Seat options for Jon boat?

I recently bought a grizzly tracker 1648 side console, it comes with a bench seat. I’m looking to add seats, usually for fishing season. I want to be able to remove them for hunting season to open up as much room as possible in the boat blind. Has anyone had any experience with the style seat clamps? Or any other recommendations for seats to put on this bench? It would be nice to be able to take them off after fishing season. I understand there’s a pedestal in the center, but I was looking for two individual swivel seats for driver/passenger.

One of my concerns is driving with the boat on the trailer distances with the seat clamps, do they seem to hold up pretty well going down highways? I don’t want the seat to fly off obviously.

I’ve also considered direct mounting a swivel with a quick disconnect to remove the seat, but then the swivel base is just sitting there. Also, the bench seat is filled with foam, so I’m not entirely sure the stability or sturdiness of just tapping straight through the aluminum into foam, which is why I considered the seat clamps in particular.

Thanks in advance!
