Tony Drake & Associates
Has anyone received a US mailed invitation from Tony Drake & Associates back about a week ago to an Eric Clapton concert on 9/13/26 in Milwaukee with having box seats, an intimate dinner and of course the concert?. There’s only supposed to be a brief introduction but the evening is supposed to be strictly social. The letter does mention limited availability but for those who reply, they will receive confirmation initially that they were selected and Tony Drake looks forward to seeing you on the 13th!
Apparently, you receive another confirmation about a week later that either you’ve truly been selected or you are added to their wait list which seems tacky to me.
It kind of reminds me of being invited to a wedding as a second tier guest.
Their marketing team must decide which potential clients have high enough assets to warrant being selected and perhaps socialize with their current high net worth clients and which potential clients may be selected in case some of their 1st choice potential clients can’t attend after all.
Is this a common practice or unusual?
Why not just limit the invitations on the front end rather than trying to capture a greater number of potential high net worth clients and not offend other high net worth individuals. Poor taste in my opinion.
Your thoughts are appreciated.
