Hey, I'm trying to create a Wechat account and need someone who can scan my QR code. I'd appreciate the help.

A friend sent me a Halloween cosplay image on WeChat. It showed as sent on his side, but the entire message was missing on mine.

WeChat has previously been documented silently filtering images in private chats. I can’t prove this case was censorship, but it looks very similar.

Even private messages can just disappear.
