New Sidewalks?
Does anyone know why when they put the new sidewalks in (e.g., Columbia Terrace) they put a 2 to 3 inch curb on the driveways? Is there a reason for this, or just some cockeyed idea?

Chart House Weehawken is closed & will reopen as a new steakhouse in 2027
We heard the rumor a year ago that it was closing but Chart House denied it. Then a few months ago someone said it was closing to become a Mastro’s steakhouse. Anyway now it’s more than a rumor.
Chart House Weehawken is gone and they say it’s reopening in 2027 — as a Mastro’s, which has the same owner and this transformation has happened at other locations. More on this in the next Weehawken Gazette. Link to source below:

Anyone knows this old guy who walks around the Port Imperial Area?
I’ve noticed this old guy a few times now (about thrice a week) around Port Imperial area between Steven’s Cafe and the Ferry Station pretty regularly. Gray beard, usually wearing multiple layers/baggy clothing, mostly just walking around the neighborhood. He’s always seemed harmless from what I’ve seen.
Does anyone know if he lives / works nearby, possibly unhoused or what his story is? Just curious since I see him often. I remember seeing him last year as well sometime just sitting outside Stevens.
