Did I mess up ordering from WalnutRitual

Guess it’s too late to ask this now but was ordering from WalnutRitual a mistake? I know I’ve seen post of folks who got order from them but I’m a little worried since it seems like a lot of people buy from Etsy shops. Anyone know if I’m screwed?

Recommendations

Hello, I’m looking to purchase a set of wenwan walnuts that won’t cost me an absurd amount of money, I’m a freshly graduated teenager going into college and money is tight as is. Any recommendations are needed and greatly appreciated, thank you! (I am in the USA and my budget is around $20-$30 if that’s possible😰)

30 Day Update - 5 Mukhi Rudraksha Bracelet

Absolutely amazed with how these beada have turned out after only 30 days of wear!

I've heard that Rudraksha beads change color quickly, and soak up sweat and oils like a sponge... but it took seeing to believe it! This bracelet is completely upbrushed, but has been worn non-stop for the last 30 days (only taken off when showering).

I tried to take a picture in the same lighting, with the same watch and strap, as my original day 1 post, to make the color change as accurately depicted as possible.

First picture - Day 30

Second Picture - Day 1 (first time wearing)

74 Days Si Zuo Lou

Aren't they too dark? I heard that excessive sweat can make them go into "soy sauce" color...

它们是不是有点太深了?我听说手汗太多会让核桃走酱色……

Wenwan Master shows his Treasure

Dialogue Transcript:
OP (Original Poster): Hey grandpa, what kind of treasure do you have hidden in your bag? Mind if I take a look?
Old Master: (Pulls out a massive, deep crimson, glossy pit) Here, take a look.
OP: (Holding it in disbelief) Wow... What variety is this? What do you even call it? Wait, listen! The seeds are still inside! You can actually hear them rattling when you shake it.
Old Master: Tell me its name first. Do you think this is a regular walnut (Hetao)?
OP: No, this definitely isn't a walnut. Is it a "Steel Peach" (Tietao)? I can see the distinct texture of a wild peach or plum pit. And you can clearly hear the dried-up kernel ringing inside.
Old Master: Exactly, it’s a peach pit. It was harvested back in 1974!
OP: No way, 1974?! That means it's over 50 years old...
Old Master: Yep. My son used to roll it in his hands when he was just a little kid. It was literally his childhood toy. Look at it—both sides are perfectly symmetrical and uniform. Back in those days, they used to make children's toys out of this wood. Then I took over and kept playing with it, and that’s how it got this look.
OP: Incredible. It looks exactly like a piece of rich, dried persimmon! Such a deep, rare patina.
OP: This is an absolute rarity, I’ve never seen anything like it! What else do you have in that bag?
Old Master: (Smiles and tucks the bag away) Nope, no more peeking! There’s nothing else to see. Remember this: when it comes to collecting and rolling, you only need one truly high-quality piece. One good piece is more than enough.
Old Master: (Points to the bracelets on his wrist) Instead of hoarding a bunch of junk, it’s much better to have just one premium strand like this. Look at these beads. If a piece is properly aged, fully developed, and well-maintained, that’s all you need. These are peach pits in the "Toad Head" (Hamatou) shape mutation, right?
OP: Wow, they really do look like toad heads!
Old Master: Exactly. But even if you play with ordinary ones, as long as they become clean, glossy, and beautifully translucent—that’s already a win.
OP: I got it. Thank you so much, grandpa!
Old Master: (Walking away) You got lucky today, kid. You really expanded your horizons and saw what a genuine, deeply-aged piece looks like!
OP: Absolutely! Thank you!
Old Master: Next time you show up, I’ll open up my secret second stash for you!

I am always very impressed when you can tell what type it is. Except from a few very distinct forms, they all look kinda the same to me. So would you enlighten my which i got (i really want zu know if it's one that gets a more red or a more yellow color in the end. And how can you tell them apart?

Possible wax on boar bristle?

My walnuts get darker and a little bit sticky after brushing them first time with boar bristle striking viking.
After a closer look, I have noticed that there are a little yellow spots on the bristles, can it be wax?
Is my pair ruined now or I just can continue and the wax will go away?
Second photo — 66 days pair, brushed with the same bristle

Wenwan Walnuts are the perfect road trip companion

Took a 10 hour trip (one way) to a friends wedding, and my walnuts definitely kept the boredom at bay when driving through areas without cell phone coverage!

Definitely got a bunch of brushing done that i've been putting off while riding shotgun, and i'm thankful that my partner loves to drive!
