So my company launched a corporate step challenge last month with a five hundred dollar bonus. Very competitive. Our vice president kept bragging on Slack about his daily ten-mile runs. I wanted the money to pay off my car insurance so I clipped the company tracker to my golden retriever's collar.

my dog runs around our fenced backyard chasing tennis balls and squirrels twelve hours a day. He logged nearly twenty-five thousand steps before lunch every single Tuesday. I ended up crushing the entire regional leaderboard by one hundred thousand steps. I collected the gift card on Friday and thought the joke was over.

Now I am ABSOLUTELY panicking. The head of human resources just sent an all-company email announcing that I am the official team captain for the charity five kilometer race next Saturday. They want me to lead the warm-up jog and give a speech about endurance discipline. I should of taken the tracker off after week one. I get winded walking up the stairs to my second floor apartment and now forty coworkers expect me to sprint like an Olympic athlete. Why do corporate wellness programs force you into committing athletic fraud.

Calling all great guys in the Detroit/Metro Detroit area!

I've been working with our popcorn queen, Whitney, to help grant write/fundraise for the Arana Kidney Recovery Foundation. I am part of an upcoming fundraising event that will help the cause directly, and they are in need of volunteers.

Event details:

*"Battle of the Cover Bands" charity event

*Each competing band picks a charity to represent.

*Attendees get voting tokens with their tickets; the votes convert directly into cash donations for the bands chosen charity

I'm in a White Stripes cover band (Sapphic Nation Army) and we made it to the semifinals this year. We have picked AKRF as our charity and want to raise as much as possible!

Volunteer info:

*End of October (exact date is TBD because the original venue fell through)

*Will take place in either downtown Detroit or Royal Oak (pending venue)

*Volunteers are needed for taking tickets, helping with equipment changeover between sets, and working the wine/beer bar

My wife mentioned the guys have done an ad read for a digital wall calendar, think the brand is SkyLight.

For anyone that’s involved with the show and is browsing this subreddit - can we get the Nat Attack as a guest helper for an episode?

I know producers don’t always want to be in front of camera / mic, but every time she comes on, she kills it. Give her a whole ep, even if it’s just to hear her tell Gareth that his pitches are stupid.

Also - speaking of producers… can we bring the Shark back for an ep?
