Looking for car suggestions in UAE

Hi everyone, I’m looking to buy a car in the UAE and would really appreciate some suggestions.

Budget: Maximum AED 60,000

Preference: New or used

Main priorities:

Premium/luxury-looking interior and exterior

Good features and modern technology

Reliable for daily use

Good performance

Good resale value

Prefer a recent model with technology that won’t feel outdated soon

I’ve looked at cars like GAC, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Seltos, etc., but I’m still not convinced about what would be the best choice.

If you had AED 60k maximum and wanted the best overall car, what would you personally buy in the UAE?

Used cars are completely fine too. I’m more interested in getting the best car for the money rather than buying brand new.

Would really appreciate recommendations from people who actually own or have driven the cars.

Looking for advice on my next car

I currently drive a 2019 Nissan Altima AWD SV (US spec) with ProPILOT Assist. I’ve had it for around 2 years. When I bought it, it had 107,803 km on it, and I’m now at around 265,000 km.

The reason for the high mileage is that I commute from Al Ain to Dubai for work 5 days a week, so most of the mileage is highway driving.

So far, the Altima has actually been very reliable. I haven’t had any major issues with the car. The only thing I occasionally get is an ADAS warning while parking or idling, but it clears after switching the car off and back on. Other than that, no major problems.

I’m now considering upgrading and would really appreciate some advice from people who have experience with high-mileage daily driving.

What used car would you recommend as an upgrade? My priority is something reliable and comfortable for long daily highway commutes. I’m specifically looking at used cars because I can’t justify/afford a new car at this point. My dream car is a Mustang, but unfortunately that’s probably not happening anytime soon 😂.

What would be a realistic selling price for my Altima? Considering it’s a 2019 model with around 265,000 km, what do you think I could realistically ask for in the UAE

Appreciate any suggestions or insights!

Help me choose my first car

Hello everyone,

Posting this on behalf of one of my friends who’s looking to buy his first car in UAE. Appreciate all the inputs.

“Hi all, new driver, and looking to buy my first car in UAE.

I am looking for a Cross-over/smaller SUV, with some emphasis on bells and whistles, but more importantly, also something that can last me 10 years. I have shortlisted between two options:

  1. Honda ZRV top trim: 2024 CPO, ~20k kms, 12-month dealer warranty, etc. Cost: ~AED96k
  2. Mazda CX-5 mid trim: 2025, 23kms, still under dealer warranty, servicing contract, etc. This belongs to a colleague, and he has had it regularly serviced, etc. Cost: ~95k

In my opinion, CX-5 is bigger than what I need at the moment (mostly city driving, some weekend getaways), and also lacks additional technology that you can find in the Honda, but curious to hear the community's thoughts”

Edit 1: Option 3: New Ford territory top trim. Cost ~108k

Anyone dealt with Al Qassim Group for a new Geely Coolray? Worth buying from them?

Hey guys,

I’m looking at a brand-new Geely Coolray (GCC claimed, full option) from Al Qassim Group / Al Qassem Group in Sharjah/Dubai area. Price is attractive compared to AGMC.

New 2027 Coolray GL at 60k aed

I’ve seen mixed things online their website shows good ratings and they seem active on Dubizzle, but I also came across some complaints about warranty issues, previous owners not being disclosed, and after-sales support not being great.

A few questions for anyone who’s bought from them (especially Geely or Chinese cars):

  1. How was the overall buying experience?
  2. Did the warranty and service contract actually work when you needed it?
  3. Was the car truly brand new / 0 km and properly GCC specs as advertised?
  4. Any issues with paperwork, RTA registration, or hidden problems later?

I’m a beginner buyer so I want to be careful. Official AGMC is more expensive, so I’m tempted by the deal, but I’d rather pay more if it means better peace of mind.

Any honest feedback (good or bad) would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Mitsubishi Outlander (G06, for 118k) vs Mazda CX60 Takumi for 185k

Pretty much the title.

I am confused between these 2 shortlisted cars.

Outlander is looking like a real good deal at the price and ticking all the boxes except I am unsure of its performance on the highways. How is the build quality (hope they have not cut corners or used cheap materials in an attempt to keep low prices)

Mazda’s engine performance on the other hand steals the show. The interiors however felt a bit dated, and the steering felt heavy (though I think this is something I can get used to). During the test drive, the brakes felt a bit weak - is this something others have also experienced?

Ao currently I am confused between these 2 options, grateful for any suggestions et al, cheers!

Geely Coolray, MG One, or Mazda CX3?

Looking to buy a used compact SUV that will mostly be used by my 20-year old son. Budget is 60 to 70K. Interested in reliability and safety. Not worried about resale value as I don’t buy and sell cars often (my Nissan Altima lasted me 11 years and clocked 300K+).
Looking at the models in the title, and would appreciate any recommendations and advice. Hesitant about Chinese brands but willing to consider given the price range of their models.

Is Hyundai Elantra 2015 for 12.5k AED worth buying? Are they reliable?

I’ve been on a look out for an old corolla these past few days, however, the listings here in Abu Dhabi seems to be pricier considering the high mileage compared to other emirates.

My budget is a little tight but I urgently need a car cause my work is 30km away from me and paying monthly carlift is too much.

Do you think elantra 2015s (GCC) are reliable? Is the maintenance as reasonable as corollas? Is there anything I should look at specifically on this car for faults when I go to test drive it? Whats normal maintenance on these? I'd like to drive this the next 4 to 6 years before upgrading to something slightly newer. Thanks y’all.

Best reliable car under AED 30k in UAE?

Hi everyone, looking for some car suggestions in Abu Dhabi. This will be my first car.

Budget: AED 20k to 30k
Mileage: Preferably under 150,000 km

Main priorities are reliability, reasonable maintenance costs, and easy availability of parts in the UAE.

What models would you recommend in this price range for a first-time car owner? Also, any cars or engines I should specifically avoid?

Thanks!

Kia Seltos EX 2023 Variant Clarification

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking for a reliable used car in Dubai, and based on my budget, I’ve shortlisted a 2023 Kia Seltos EX.

The seller says it’s the mid variant (EX), and the inspection report also lists it as EX. However, when I checked the car, it doesn’t have push-button start or a sunroof.

From what I’ve found online, the 2023 Seltos EX seems to have both features.

Could anyone confirm whether the 2023 Kia Seltos EX (UAE/GCC spec) comes with:

  • Push-button start
  • Sunroof

Is it possible that there are different EX specifications/trims in the UAE?

I’d really appreciate any clarification before I proceed with the purchase. Thanks!

Tesla Model Y or BYD Sealion 7

Im planning to buy either a Tesla Model Y AWD Long Range or BYD Sealion 7 full options, Im confused about higher insurance premiums for teslas although they're proven more than BYD and has a better reputation and are present in the UAE market for much longer and have better connectivity in terms of superchargers as well, what confuses me is that is which car should i go for between looking at the features and also after maintenance for the cars in the long run, btw it would be my first EV. I currently drive a Hyundai SantaFe 2021 Full Options V6 3.5L.

Which car would ya'll suggest in overall terms between technology, comfort, drive quality and something which wouldnt make a big hole in my pocket.

Thanks in advance guys:)

Off road car recommendations

Hi, guys i am pretty sure many people have asked this question on here before as well and here I go myself.

What 4x4 do you guys recommend ? Mostly looking into an FJ or a wrangler. I have a jeep cherokee XJ at the moment and I quite like it but there is always this concern of reliability that it’s gonna give up on me in the middle of the desert. Anyways, I am not a heavy off roader just during the winter seasons that too on weekends. I go out with a car club in convoys. I was planning to upgrade this coming season and i need some recommendations.

I love the look of a wrangler more than the fj but i have read that the fjs are much better in desert than the wranglers. And the maintenance is quite expensive on the wranglers as well. Any recommendations would help alot thanks.

Infinti q50 2.0L 2013-2015

Need opinion on this car, I absolutely love the look and within the budget. I just want opinions Good & Bad

While many people say you can get a corolla etc I’m still a teen and would prefer a car like this.

You can recommend cars asw not an issue tho.

Price I’ll buy at around 17-18k possibly a bit more but not more than 20k

I just want opinions as I have friends who’ve had this car for years with little issue but still want to know abt fuel / maintance / common issues / cost of repairs of said common issues / major issues & cost of it and also What to look out for when purchasing one and simple thing like oil changes etc & cost as some ppl said 400 dhs.

As for PPI u can recommend me places but I also have personal mechanics from my family connection.

Thank you!
