My Wife is killing Me

It's my first time posting here.

As you can see, I'm a sports car enthusiast — getting a V8 and modifying it was always the dream, and thankfully I've been living that dream for the past two years.

However, I was blessed with a baby boy last month, and as many of you probably know, the rear seats of a Camaro aren't exactly family-friendly 😂 — especially with a car seat in the mix. And let's not even get into the trunk space; fitting a baby stroller in there has been its own struggle.

So now my wife has been (lovingly) pushing me to get a bigger car — something that can fit everyone comfortably. Problem is, I can't stand driving slow cars anymore, so I'm torn between two options:

  1. Jetour G700 – Massive 1100 N·m of torque, packed with luxury features, and a great warranty.
  2. Denza B5 – Less power than the G700, but still a solid, spacious option.

I'm leaning toward something brand new to avoid any repair headaches — a good warranty would give me real peace of mind while I navigate the newborn trenches 😂.

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Buying a Car In Dubai

Hi Folks! Just got my license last week. Was so happy then but now that the car hunting has hit me like a ton of bricks, my joy has diminished a little. I am a woman living alone, who only knows how to drive. Other things related to a car inspection - I am ashamed to admit I have no clue. I am inclined to buy a second hand car as I dont know how long Dubai is for me, also I want to buy a Mazda CX5 or equivalent which honestly I cant afford a new one. I have only explored options like Cars24 at the moment as I feel they are a bit more trustworthy than a complete stranger at dubizzle. But Please I need guidance on this as its going to be my first ever car in Dubai and I am a little anxious about it.

Mini Cooper S vs Mini Cooper S Convertible in the UAE? Owners, please help!

I’m planning to buy my first premium car in the UAE and I’m torn between a Mini Cooper S Hatch and a Mini Cooper S Convertible (Cabrio).

The convertible has always been my dream, but I’m wondering if it’s actually practical in the UAE.

I’d love to hear from people who own either one:

- Is the convertible worth it, or do you rarely use the roof because of the weather?
- Has the soft top been reliable? Any leaks, wind noise, or maintenance issues?
- Are servicing and repairs significantly more expensive than the hardtop?
- Any common MINI issues I should be aware of?
- How has your ownership experience been in terms of reliability and maintenance costs?
- If you were buying again in the UAE, would you choose the Cooper S Hatch or the Convertible, and why?

Looking for honest experiences - both good and bad. Thanks!

Looking for an unused and reliable car at 100-150k AED budget for my first car

Hi everyone I’m looking to buy my first car!

Since I’m splurging for an unused car made after 2020 I want it to be reliable, safe, and last me 5 years at least preferably 10 though. Incase anything happens I’d like to easily maintain the car/gets parts replaced without it costing too much. I’ll be using it for daily commute to uni and such, probably not gonna be driving super long distances at a time as I only recently got my license.

I’d like a car that looks good and has nice features like a strong ac, nice screen, cooling ventilators on comfortable seats, wireless charging for my phone, etc. I’ve seen many chinese cars with this such as Geely preface and engrand or dongfeng nissan, but when it comes to reliability I have no way of knowing how long they last since chinese cars have only become popularized here like 3-4 years ago max. Also I’ve heard it can take months to get a part shipped here if it needs to get replaced and I haven’t seen any like safety rankings so I’m also concerned about that.

I’d like a petrol or hybrid with automatic transmission.

If it’s a 5 seater I prefer a smaller 4 door car like a saloon or sedan not a crossover or suv, But if it’s a 7+ seater then I’m fine with bigger cars.

Honestly I don’t know much about horsepower and stuff but I just want a car that drives smoothly and safely, like good light steering and pedals, I don’t think i’ll ever drive at like above 200km/h.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

What’s a good car I can get for AED ~400,000

Hi,

Currently driving a 2022 Range Rover Sport that’s about to run out of warranty. I barely drive (have 52,000 kms since I bought this new). Looking to get something certified pre-owned or low mileage foreign/fancy car. What suggestions do you guys have? Before this I’ve had BMW X5 which was pretty good too but not a fan of the redesign.

Needs to be 4 door

Need advice on which 911 to buy

I’ve been thinking of ordering a 911 and I’m confused which one to go for. I’m thinking between the Carrera and Carrera S and the price difference is around 75-80k AED. I’m completely aware the S is quicker but my question is the extra 80 horsepower worth the 80k difference or the Carrera is more than enough for uae roads, daily drives and fun

Your advice is highly appreciated!

Gac empow R 2025

Lots of similar options — which is best?

A lot of them are audis because i really like the look. Which is the best overall? I’m gonna negotiate for lower (lmk what i can go for on some of these hopefully)

In terms of comfort, luxury on a discount, and ease of mind. I don’t mind maintenance or fuel economy as long as its reasonable. Good driver experience is a big factor for me imo
