My wife needs help

My wife needs help

She also can’t identify this yarn. Would anyone know where she might have gotten it?

Edit: She was in on this joke 😅

Down to Four Mysteries

I've been trying to pick up a latch hook rug project I started back in 2020. Unfortunately, in the 3 moves since I got the yarns for this project, I've lost the labels for just about everything.

I've been able to track down what most of the yarns are, but I'm still at a loss for 4 of them.

I believe that they're all medium/4s, and they should all be either Red Heart or Caron, though I'm not 100% on that.

The navy one has the roughest texture.

The bright blue is medium soft, similar in texture to the red heart super saver petal pink, and the Caron cake blueberry cheesecake (both pictures for color comparisons)

The medium blue (I only have cuttings for that one) is very soft

The hot pink is not quite as soft as the medium blue, but still much softer than the other two. I've also included a picture of part of the rug, in case it helps at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Edit to add: The dark blue is actually soft navy, I thought I only had one skein and that I'd pulled all the yarns I had, but I just found a second one hidden away. Sorry... Just 3 mystery yarns.

Again, thank you!

Multi texture art yarn

I got this yarn secondhand over a decade ago and have no idea where it's from. I want to get more of it, or find something similar, but haven't seen anything with this blend of textures and weights before.

It was probably bought in the USA, I want to say at least 12 years ago. I sincerely doubt it's still in production, and I'm not confident the brand would still be around. I suspect it's entirely synthetic based on the burn test. I might have another colorway in storage, but what I show in the images is one colorway. As you can tell it varies a lot in thickness, but overall it's weight 4.

Does anyone have ideas?

Yarn Identification Help!

I am new to crocheting and bought this hot pink yarn at an estate sale with no identification of brand or color. I have been to all of the craft stores near me and can’t seem to find a good match. The colorful yarn pictured in the blanket, bought at the same estate sale, is Red Heart Super Saver brand. Any help identifying what this is so I can get some more to finish this blanket for my daughter would be much appreciated!

please help me find another cone of this vintage yarn or a dupe!!

I got it from a donation at a local nonprofit. The cone was HUGE but not enough for this project. A dupe would be cool too, just not sure what I’m looking for (idk what the numbers mean)

Spotlight Mill Ends

Purchased from Spotlight Australia July 2026. Seems 100% acrylic but very soft. Doesnt match any yarn sold on their shelves. Have been told that Mill Ends bags include American brands so any help greatly appreciated! (Two photos are of the same ball).

Anyone know what yarn this is?

I picked up these balls of yarn at a local yarn store in some grab bags that they had and none of them came with any sort of label and I was wondering if anyone knew what yarn it was! Thanks ahead of time for the help!

Does anyone know what this yarn is?

Hi, I bought this yarn about 5 years ago to make a cardigan (pictured). I've unravelled it to create another cardigan and am concerned I don't have enough yarn.

From memory, I think it is 100% wool, probably superwash. Small chance it's from Cascade.

Can anyone help me identify the yarn please? Thanks

Help with this yarn?

Sorry if this isn’t allowed!
I’m currently making a jumper out of granny squares, I’ve been using this pink yarn that was a gift from my boyfriends mum, so no idea where it came from, or what brand it is unfortunately!
I’m running out and I have about… 60 more squares to go :,) does anybody recognise it at all?
I think it’s either acrylic or an acrylic cotton blend but it’s definitely not cotton! It’s quite soft, easy to work with, and it’s more of a cool pink in real life :)
TYIA! <3

Completely stumped

I’m at my wits end trying to figure out what yarn this is after my girlfriend mistakenly threw away the label. I remember that it’s a cotton blend and that “cloud” might have been in the name. I can’t even go look at the store it came from because it’s a yarn my younger brother was left with after a breakup 2 years ago (long story, not important right now, just proving that I have no idea where this thing came from).

Looking for faux fur or coral fleece yarn without high shipping rates

This might be too much to ask but I've been looking all morning for this specific kind of yarn and none that I have seen have this same kind of fluff I'm looking for. I am a small shop owner (with not a lot of money) who is based in the US and would like to expand on my crochet style, these fluffy crochet plushies that don't look like they are crocheted really caught my eye but I'm running into the same two issues:

  1. The shipping is way too expensive and
  2. It's not as fluffy as I'd like it to be

If you guys could help me find yarn that's similar I would GREATLY appreciate it <3
