Can anyone help me identify this? I got a tiny ball in a mixed lot and I really want more.
Feels like it could be a cotton blend?

Hey guys would be so happy if someone could tell me what yarn this is? I found it today in the charity shop and fell in love but would love to know the brand/fibre- it seems pretty old!
See pictures ☺️
Does anyone know how to find the starting point of hobby store yarn?? 🧶 I pulled from the center and messed up soooo bad I spent the last 2+ hours untangling and re balling this😭😭with my own f- hands.😭
Help me do better pls🥹
I have nearly lost my mind trying to find a match to this yarn!
For background, the original yarn came from my grandmother’s stash of old yarn. I am worried this is a discontinued yarn because I cannot for the life of me seem to find the match. I will attach photos of all the comparisons I have tried to date so you can get a good idea of what I’ve tried as well as the color it is, because it’s not quite mint and it’s not sage. It’s this weird… in between color.
For help with identification, my grandma only ever shopped for her yarn from Joann’s. Her go-to yarn brands per the source herself are: Caron, Lion Brand, Red Heart, or any baby yarn kind being sold at the time between 2000-2015. This yarn, however, doesn’t have that baby yarn feel to it (it’s not super soft). Texture wise, it’s rough like Red Heart. It’s definitely Weight 4 Acrylic yarn. I just CANNOT seem to find a match!!
So far, the CLOSEST color match I have found has been the Baby Bee Sweet Dreams yarn in Mint Charm. It’s not that one, but it’s very very similar in color. I attached photos of all the others I tried (I love this yarn in shade Menthe, the premier basix shades, big twist and red heart) but to no avail. If ANYONE has any idea what this could be, please let me know. Or, if you know of one that’s super close, that works too! At this point, I’m close to just frogging the project I was originally making with the yarn and replacing it with a different one since I cannot find the match, but this is my last resort. Thank you!!
I got it from a friend of a friend and was the only one that did not come with a tag.
I got this yarn from a family member but it had to tag and I have no idea where it’s from. I started this project and I’m not going to have enough to finish 🥲 does anyone recognize this yarn and know where I can buy another roll?
Hey everyone. I am creating a yarn database. If anyone has time to send me a picture of any yarn labels I would really appreciate it. Please include barcode and let me know if you would be interested in access to this stash organizer!
ETA: FOUND!!
"Bernat Softee Baby Jacquards Yarn Faded Blooms"
I got this in a mill ends bag about a month ago, from spotlight,
Its really soft, maybe a blend? Its pinks, purple, cream and in the cream is spots of green, has a sheen to it,
It came in loose skeins (as you see in the photos)
First photo is in the shade, next is in the sun, and last is it worked up a bit,
I would love to know what it is and i would like to see what else they have in this range,
Thank you! 🫶
I’m looking to get more of this yarn but I can’t for the life of me remember the brand or type of yarn (i’m very much a beginner at crocheting). I believe it’s weight 3, it’s very soft with a nice shine to it. I think I likely purchased it from a major retailer like Michael’s, Joann Fabric, or Hobby Lobby. I bought it 3-4 years ago. Any information is much appreciated, as I’m using this yarn to make a gift for my sister’s first child
Can anyone identify this? I'm based in the UK so it's more likely to be something available in the UK/EU.
Recommendations for similar yarns are very welcome and greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Does anyone recognize these? I found some treasures at a local creative reuse store. TIA!
The rainbow cakes are 50g each, superwash, fingering or maybe sport.
The grey and yellow I was sure would be Malabrigos Rios, but I couldn’t find any colorways that matched. They are 100g each, worsted, I’m assuming super wash. The grey one had “Swamp Creature” on the tag, and the yellow one said “Subtle Packers” (lol). None of these had proper yarn labels, just a little price tag from the store selling it.
Hello!
I got this yarn at a craft supply swap. I have quite a bit of it but would like to make a sweater with black accents. I am hoping if someone has an idea which yarn or brand of yarn this is, I may be able to find a similar yarn in black. I added a pic with it next to hobbi 8 in one cotton for weight comparison.
I'm trying to find more of this kind of yarn but I have had it for years and don't have it's packaging/wrap thingy. It's a chenille or chenille-esque type of yarn that feels almost silky and is quite shiny. I'm currently using an 8mm hook with it if that helps you gage its weight (the hook might honestly be on the larger side for it since the "core" of the yarn is actually thinner than you'd think). I got it from Michael's in the US probably 4 or 5 years ago. I don't need the same color, I just want to get more of this type, if it's still being made.
Does anyone know of a yarn in an acrylic that looks like this?
It's a tonal white and blue mix that was hand dyed on wool that I got in an advent calendar box. My mom fell in love with how it worked up and the colors and she wants to make a blanket with something like it, but we would like to find an acrylic substitute so it can be easily washed (and not break the bank for a blanket amount of yarn).
Does anyone know of a tonal white/blue acrylic or acrylic mix yarn that looks a bit like this hand-dyed yarn?
Update: I found information about this, finally. It is a Pashmina shawl with silk warp and wool weft; probably woven in Kashmir in the second half of the 1800's. I'm so pleased to have some information. If anyone can offer more insight, please comment. Thank you.
I got this from a friend and I believe she said it is from Afghanistan, but this could be incorrect. She says it is all wool. It feels coarse and it is one sided - meaning that only one side is suitable for presentation. Can anyone help identify the possible origin and offer what uses it was made for? The people I've shown it to said wall hanging. I suspect it was made with some particular use in mind. Many thanks.
Help!
I started this Christmas tree skirt about 4 years ago (lol) and took a break likely because I ran out of yarn. I believe it’s big twist but I’m only seeing the red white stripes with solid white but I believe I somehow had yarn that was red white stripes with solid red. Can someone help me identify the yarn?
got some yarn for free in a bin and these two were unlabeled! any ideas what they could be? google reverse image search has failed to yield any strong matches
Its 4 ply, likely size 3, and looks more green irl.
