Any Fortaleza SS sightings?
I know Total Wines have gotten some this week, just haven’t had any luck finding any.

Anyone know any stores around that have Rare Character picks? I’ve picked up 2025 batch 14 and 2026 batch 03 and want to find some single barrels.

Been trying to find some bottles from old commonwealth around town but haven’t had any luck.
Does anyone know stores that have any? Specific stuff like Old Hoffman, DH Cromwell, Colonel Randolph, Old Commonwealth Bourbon.
Thanks for any help in advance! This sub has been great.
Hello All! We stumbled upon a great barrel with our friends at the Whiskey Blendery yesterday that picked us. More details to come, but it's a 10yr, near hazmat (as of yesterday) and uniquely delicious. It's a perfect counterpart to our last bourbon pick. If you like that style (full flavored, dark and viscous with a nice finish that isn't too sweet or angry), you'll not want to miss this. As always, we're very picky on doing picks. I can't tell you how many single barrels we've tried since last year and have passed because we're looking for something unique and that drinks lower than the proof. Stay tuned for more details, but it should be available pretty quickly!
after trying this i had to have one and soon as i landed at dfw i went on the hunt and found a few but all marked up crazy and believe me or not but this one was marked $1299 owner was there and we went back and forth on price i said $400 is my best im willing to pay and he said cash deal i said yes and now its in my home sweet home
had this barrel converted into a cabinet for my buffalo trace bottles and had lights and lazy susan installed think it turned out amazing

Have anybody seen a Little Book Infinite II anywhere in the wild? I understand i can purchase it online but shipping is crazy with this heat right now. Thanks for yalls help! Happy Hunting. Cheers
I’m looking for a bottle of William larue weller. It’s for a friend who is willing to pay secondary and just wondering if anyone has seen one at a store who is willing to part with it outside of a points program.
Need some ideas on cocktails with bourbon. I always drink neat, on rocks or a dash of bitter because that’s hard to mess up. Other than old fashioned any simple mixes the group would advise.
The James E Pepper Decanter Rye dropped in DFW and I couldn't wait another day to crack it. I'm a big fan of their Decanter bourbon so I was waiting for this bottle since I learned they were releasing a rye. Definitely one of my most anticipated releases of the year. With a mash bill of 100% rye, I wasn't sure what to expect.
On the nose I got caramel, some oak, some mint and floral notes but not overly strong, everything is really well balanced. A nice amount of ethanol considering the proof of 116. The longer it sat on the Glen, the more prominent the caramel and oak got, always with a slight rye background. If this bottle is going to open up like this, it's going to be amazing.
The palate opened with mint, rye spice, and nice floral notes. I got orange lingering on the back palate. Spices kicked in. It's sweet and with a good bit of caramel.
Long finish that stays and never goes bitter.
This bottle is very promising. Their bourbon is amazing, this one might open up to be as great.
$3500 and you can take it home.
