‘Chick Tracts’ Christian comics that spread hate speech against minorities

‘Chick Tracts’ Christian comics that spread hate speech against minorities

I think this specific comic is from the 70s. They’re made by Christian conservative artist Jack Chick, who made these tracts for around 50 years. Most of them are the usual short stories spreading Christian values, but many of them are straight up hate speech against Arabs, Catholics and gay people. Jack played a big role in spreading the religious right and satanic panic, making popular comics about DnD, Harry Potter and Family Guy. Chicks site claims to be the highest selling comic in history, but I guarantee they’re fudging the numbers since most of these are given out for free.

TIL that when Robin Givens went public about being abused by Mike Tyson, the public sided so heavily with Tyson that Givens was named the "Most Hated Woman in America," agents and producers refused to work with her, and a CNN poll showed that 93% of respondents blamed her for the breakup

Grown ass man who bullied and sexualized 13 year old Rebecca Black

A 13 year old girl song a song and appeared in a video of a cringy song with bad lyrics made by a low tier production company? Let’s dogpile on her like the rest of the internet, make fun of her appearance and imitate her engaging in sexual acts.

1989-Mike Tyson recounting his best punch: “It was when I fought Robin [Givens] in Steve Lott’s apartment. She really offended me and I went BAM. She flew backwards, hitting every wall in the apartment. That was the best punch I’ve ever thrown in my entire life.”

This is an excerpt from Jose Torres’s 1989 biography about Tyson, entitled- The Fire and Fear: The Inside Story of Mike Tyson. Torres was a former light-heavyweight boxer himself, and part of Tyson’s inner circle for many years in the mid to late 80s.

As time has passed, the public perception of Tyson seems to have softened despite his myriad allegations of domestic abuse and sexual assault, not to mention his rape conviction and prison sentence.

It’s still puzzling that people are going to pay $130 to have him sign things at the annual sports memorabilia show in Northern Virginia. He’s also due to cash in again with a scheduled fight against the former YouTuber turned circus sideshow, Jake Paul.

Unfunny funnyman, Vic Reeves in blackface. Smash Hits Magazine July 1995.

Just yuk.

Vic and Bob, famous UK comedians dressed up as old timey Popstars in Smash Hits Magazine to promote their Cover of the Monkees Classic "Im A Believer".

To better convey the Spirit of Jimi Hendrix, Vic chose to augment his distinctive clothing and flashy guitar theatrics by darkening his skin, a reductive and racially insensiitive way of portraying people of colour dating back to times of overt segregation in the US and discriminarion in the UK.

Why does Dr Sebi still get treated like a hero?

Alfredo Bowman AKA Dr Sebi was one of the most successful medical fraudsters. He became famous for treating celebrities like Steven Seagal and Left Eye Lopez with holistic and herbal remedies now proven to be dangerous and ineffective. He claimed he had cures for cancer, AIDS and Diabetes. Thanks to him, potentially hundreds of people have rejected life saving chemotherapy, insulin and vaccines. Dr Sebi died in 2016 but his legacy lives on, and there are a shocking number of celebrities, doctors and social media account promoting his bullshit. Dr Sebi is connected to the black community in ways I’m unqualified to dive into, but the summarization is that after decades of targeted medicine and discrimination in the medical field, marginalized groups had a distrust of doctors and Dr Sebi preyed on this.

jerry seinfeld: “my question about women’s gymnastics is simple. are we not supposed to be looking at their little rear ends while they’re jumping around all over the place? because i think that’s pretty much all i’ve been doing, and i don’t know if it’s wrong. i mean if it’s wrong, i’ll stop”

High School in the 80s - Underage girls dating

How many here were in high school in the 80s and remember seeing numerous female classmates (well under 18 yrs old) dating guys well over 18)? While we guys were jealous, no one thought it was weird.

Edit: in all the time I witnessed this, I never once heard of a girl’s parents getting wind of it and pressing charges for statutory rape. Weird, right?

2008 Beijing Olympics replaced girl with someone “cuter” due to concerns over “proper representation”

Going off of the post about the “Most Beautiful Girl in the World,” I was reminded of this fiasco that I read about originally in the 2010s (back when I was able to read and understand stuff). A 9 year old girl named Lin Miaoke (right image) lip sung to a traditional patriotic Chinese song during the opening of the games but the actual singer was Yang Peyi (left image) a girl with a beautiful voice.

Yang was put backstage to sing the song as Lin lip sung the lyrics due to Yang not being perceived as “cute” by the official due to her round cheeks and belly.

As far as I know, most folks didn’t realize that Lin wasn’t the actual singer and due to her looking cute and stuff she was rocketed to celeb status while Yang left the spotlight and went on to go to college in the US.

Pretty gross to me that they’d body shame a literal child and that the same child was basically used for her voice and then tossed away while the faker went on to become famous also due to her looks. Pretty sick and it’s no wonder that suicide, bullying, and self image issues (as well as eating disorders) are so bad in Asia. As an Asian myself, I wish they’d all do better. Learn and educate themselves more too, for the sake of the children.

Flashback to Jerry Seinfeld's gross thoughts on Gymnastics 🤮

I was just listening to Matt Bernstein's podcast about this Zionist POS and this passage of his 1993 book "SeinLanguage" was brought up. This book was a No. 1 bestseller so a lot of people had to know about him writing these disturbing comments about the "little rear ends" of the girls - who were often just 15 years old when competing. How is this not spoken about more???
