Saw turtle and sleeping duck on my walk
It’s genuinely amazing to get to walk in nature and experience its beauty amongst these beautiful creatures. Unfortunately, I think that the pond I was visiting was experiencing water intake issues which caused the water line to decrease. That’s probably why this poor turtle was out in the open.

Green Heron standing on a wooden railing at Lakes Park
Photographed this Green Heron standing on a wooden railing. I took this at Lakes Park while out photographing for my Adventures in Southwest Florida.
Fun fact: As one of the smaller heron species, its compact size enables it to navigate and forage effectively in dense vegetation and from narrow perches, like the wooden railing in the scene, which larger wading birds cannot access.
