Is it likely Dorilton seeks a change of leadership at the team if no significant steps are made late in the season?
Obviously nobody is happy with the performance so far this season and the new front wing didn’t really seem to make much difference pace wise so do Dorilton tolerate and keep the faith with Vowels or do they look for other options? lemme know your opinion
Sainz: "My patience doesn't run out, but I'm upset and worried."
marca.comCarlos to DAZN post race Interview
Carlos to DAZN he said the situation at williams is starting to get alarming
“is clear what we brought this weekend didn't work, we expected a significant step forward that didn't arrive and it is starting to get frustrating and something to worry about because updates are not working”
“when you bring something to the track that on the wind tunnel and the sim works, and then you see you only made a small step forward that means something is not working in our calculations, numbers, in our development, and is worrying..”
The British Grand Prix comes to an end under the safety car. An unfortunate weekend for the team. After Alex had contact with Bearman on lap 1 we used the remainder of the race to gather learnings and data before retiring the car.

Williams takes another step forward in slimming down the FW48
Translation:
A new, lighter, and more efficient nose cone to gain load points and better control for the drivers.
The Austrian Grand Prix was a real headache for Williams, as was Barcelona, but with the arrival in the UK, the Grove-based team will introduce new parts. The most important, according to MARCA, is a completely new nose, with a completely redesigned cone, flaps, and side plates. This is one of the key components that directs all the aerodynamic flow to the rear, and it should give them better control, handling, and more downforce or a car that currently lacks this aspect compared to its midfield rivals.
There will be a few more tweaks, but this cone, which was one of the areas redesigned to pass the winter crash tests, with the resulting added weight, should reduce the weight of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon's car, potentially bringing it closer to 20 kilos instead of the 28 it started the season with. And that's an automatic gain of a few tenths of a second.
These will be the last upgrades before the summer break, although there might be something more to come at Zandvoort, but what everyone is really waiting for is the B chassis, a completely new monocoque, which should arrive in Spain or Baku. However, the factory is doing everything possible to have it ready for the Madring race, giving Carlos the opportunity to shine in his home race. With this chassis, featuring fewer layers of fiberglass and a lighter weight, which will serve as the basis for the 2027 version, the FW-48 should reach a minimum weight of 768 kg, or perhaps even less, which will give it a real leap in quality and competitiveness.
It's not just about arriving with improvements for 2026, but about consolidating them over time, since the budget limit does not allow for making a completely new car every season and all spending must be measured and usable for the future.
"I hope this was the last really bad weekend for us," Sainz said as he left the Red Bull Ring. And that's what the technical team coordinated by James Vowles is hoping for, after a start no one expected for Williams this year. With the right weight, the blue car should gain almost a second per lap in September, and that will be enough to make the leap to Q3 and put them on par with Alpine and RB, threatening points positions every weekend, if all goes well.
One of the unavoidable issues is that this British GP is a Sprint format and there are only 60 minutes to test these new features and achieve good setups, although the sprint qualifying and the short race on Saturday morning should serve as a testing ground to change as much as possible for qualifying and the race on Sunday.
