Got gifted a JBL Pulse 4

This is a very nice speaker. A friend of mine gifted this to me after my cheap bluetooth speaker stopped working. I was surprised at how nice this speaker is. The sound quality is pretty good and the build quality feels solid. This is a heavy speaker. The LED lights are cool but that certainly isn't a selling point for me. I would have spent the extra money on less lights and better sound. But I am very happy with this speaker. The battery lasts a super long time if played at low to moderate levels. But what a nice gift to receive.

Is this a great deal, or a trap? Sony Ult 3 and 5

I was looking into a speaker bigger and fuller than my current Anker Soundcore Motion 300 to use for slowpitch softball dugout jams. I do not want a giant party speaker, nor do I have a lot of money to throw at it.

Today, I saw the Sony Ult 3 and Ult 5 on sale for $137 and $188 respectively. The Ult 3 in particular caught my eye as a solid upgrade from my Anker speaker, but the Ult 5 is still portable enough to where I could consider it.

I don't particularly want to spend $188, but if it is a much better deal than anything I could get at that price I would consider it. Otherwise, the Ult 3 at $137 seems like the better deal for my use case.

Great deal, or look elsewhere? I don't need it to go super duper high volume, as it is mainly for the dugout.

Medium apartment with 15x17' open concept area, tired of trying to chose, Stanmore?

Hi! Not an audiophile, but I like good sound. The Marshall Stanmore is $250 right now. I have been going down the wormhole too long and need sound in here. It is the first time in a while living alone and music would be nice. It's a loft style old factory and has been exceptionally quiet. I do not want the neighbors to hate me. I don't like bass heavy music anyway... it's not like I'm listening to Drake. I hate those heavy on bass JBL, and Bose options out there, and never liked subs. Other option: I'd have to spend more money, but a pair of good bookshelf speakers and a used or inexpensive amp/receiver would be better. It's just one and done with the bluetooth speaker though. Klipsch RP-600m are $350 plus an amp. I think the 600m's would sound nice at a low volume, and no sub.
