This is from volume 5 omake
After watching season 2 I noticed a massive shift in his behaviour towards Will, to be fair I noticed him start to change after the Praxis exam. Manga readers? Is there more to Sions feelings about Will other than just rivalry, I feel like he has this unspoken liking for him?

Last fight from Prequel volume 1.
As confirmed in the Anime mid episode sheet, there is only 1 Supreme grade Magic per Element Attribute.
I’m here to present the theory that:
- Thunder: Thunder Bull / Virgas Argo Thorzeus
- Ice: Ice Bird / Glacia Last Alvis
- Flame: Flame Lion
- Elf: Great Holy Tree of the Elf
- Earth: For those who have read LN2, the emblem represents Grantine Arsmagna of the Loire that would later birth Grantine Igrandia
- Wind: Currently unknown but presumably a guardian with feathers
This is where I hit the road block: I cannot for the life of me figure out what Light and Dark is (any theories posted in the comments is appreciated).
———
Separately from the content above, I present a related theory:
As it matches the emblem of the Dark Faction, the Star in the eyes of Will and Mercedes represent the primordial Dark of the Lyzance.
Quote from LN1:
"The primordial Dark and the Light of the end both encompass the five elements: fire, wind, earth, lightning, and water. The lower-level dark magic Dax Darbicans uses dark-element fire, which indicates that the emergence of elemental magic came later. This supports Macbeth's theory, which proposed that magic begins with darkness and returns to light. The relationship between these attributes is thought to be rooted in the foundation of the magical world. It suggests a complete shift in the magic system before and after Mage Queen Mercedes's reign—"
“Dark” is the original element attribute of the Lyzance before Mercedes introduced “Light”. As Will is accessing his Origins, perhaps his Wand side abilities relate to this Primordial Dark of the Lyzance’s past.
I'm seeing a whole disrespect on the goat Zeo for robbing Will from Elfie.
Zeo is here to remind us this shit ain't a fucking love story. Will needs to reach his potential since obviously he is destined to somehow stop the celestial husk (I think). Zeo is the perfect man to take him on a potential chasing journey. I think it's counterproductive for Elfie to take him now cause that will cause complacency and Finn will inevitably snatch him.
After all, this dude made the Mad Dissector stand down and acknowledge him when the other Magica Vanders stood down. If he never intervened who knows what Elfie would have done.
The question came after the fight with zeo after she traded him in ice.
As for now we are in chapter 65 author said we are half way to the story spoilers now we are in simos arc I hope that we can see possible power up from will in simos either way I am curious that how long will it take will to reach their power level I hope that I don't have to wait until the end of the story because we all know that he have reach unprecedented level of power and strength to defeat Baal who mentioned as power than the original magia Vanders (who are much powerful than the current ones)+ Mercedes (if I am not wrong ) so clearly will have to surpass all magia Vanders and even Mercedes unlocking the full fifth source.I really want to see will beat up Carriot or ellenor in a real fight I don't know how will the author work what you guys think we will see that kinda fight against Carriot vs will what your guys opinion how many chapters will it take for will to be in that level my guess in around 95 chapter to 105 idk well.
This includes Elfie too just for the fun of it
Throughout the series, Omori often uses interesting names for the month of the year when displaying birthdays for character profiles. Here are the entire compiled list:
- January: Month of Karna カーナ
- February: Month of Radel ラデル
- March: Month of Suza スザ
- April: Month of Selza セルザ
- May: Month of Noru ノル
- June: Month of Arezel アレゼル
- July: Month of Harura ハルラ
- August: Month of Roa ロア
- September: Month of Shana シャナ
- October: Month of Ruha ルハ
- November: Month of Azo アゾ
- December: Month of Elsa エルザ
However, what if I say this actually have significance lore implications?
Quote from LN2
The “Azo Night Banquet” takes its name from Azo of Windstep, one of the Ten Sages of the Lyzance. Lady Azo, whose name is also given to the eleventh month of the calendar, is said to have loved dancing above all else. In gratitude to her and to offer prayers, festivals are often held throughout the magical world during the eleventh month.
We now know the month of November is named after Azo of the 10 Sages, this got me thinking of other months and whether they could also be named after important people, which then I discovered:
Quote from LN2
"The origins of the Loire family are said to be deeply connected to the creation of the current magical world, at the command of our founder, 'Witch Queen Mercedes'."
"!!"
"A collateral branch of the great “Ten Sages”, “Ruha of Earth Creation”. Therefore, information about her family is restricted."
Colette is born on the month of Ruha, the same Sage Ruha that is the sister of her ancestor Loire. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
Quote from LN1
Of course it is. If you trace the nobility back to its origins, they’re the descendants of the Magia Vanders (Five Supreme Wands) and the Ten Sages—people of truly noble blood. My family, too, is a distinguished lineage (noble house) descended from the great Flame Sorcerer Burdelyeon, and we’re every bit the equal of the Prestigious Ice Family (Reinburg) or the Knight Clan (Owenzaus).
Sion’s Ulster Family is a descendant of Sage Burdelyeon, with Sion having Advanced Magic Iflamme Burdelyeon as proof of that. The 10 Sages contributed to the war just like the Magia Vanders did and are the origins of noble bloodlines in this world.
Seals of the Tower
- Karna カーナ / Flame Wall 炎壁 (January)
- Radel ラデル / Ice Gate 氷門(February)
- Suza スザ / Wind Wheel 風車 (March)
- Selza セルザ / Light Chain 光鎖 (April)
- Noru ノル / Dark Torch 閣灯 (May)
- Arezel アレゼル / Nature Fortress 葉砦 (June)
- Shana シャナ / Thunder Lock 雷錠 (September)
As noted, the seal of the Tower are also share the same names after the calendar months. Perhaps they are important figures (or even Sages) that contributed to the Tower’s construction?
While on the topic, I want to discuss the significance of the 10 Staffs pinning Baal (yes there are 10, we cross checked with other panels of different angles).
They also appear to be the same ones as the Staffs that Origins Mercedes used to pin down Shade.
I want to propose the theory that the Staffs of the 10 Sages are the true “seal” of Baal.
A lot of Flower Imagery have been shown in this series, the topic that is discussed today is very deep lore and I am merely scratching the surface, I recommend reading through this then providing your own evidence on the matter.
My presented hypothesis is simple: “Lyzance are humanoid Flower creatures that originated from the Dungeon”
- Question:
Don’t elves and dwarves undergo “Blooming” as well?
- Answer:
No. The Lyzance (inhabitants of Paradise) have long been known as the “Flower Species” (花の種族). Beginning with Flowershock (Flower Rot Syndrome), it has been confirmed that phenomena related to flowers—for better or for worse—manifest in both their bodies and minds. There are even scholars who argue that the true nature of the magic circles that appear whenever the Lyzance (inhabitants of Paradise) cast magic is “the flowers themselves.”
Each Lyzance (inhabitants of Paradise) carries within them a “seed” or a “bud.” When that seed sprouts or that bud blossoms, a mage acquires tremendous power. We refer to this awakening-like phenomenon as “Blossoming”.
Cariott mentions the blossoming to Sion in chapter 50. Elfie also underwent blossoming after she went through the “Mana awakening ritual” in Light Novel 1.
Lyzance when casting Magic is like a Flower releasing its fragrance, a fundamentally different process of casting Magic compared to the Elves:
"We, the Lyzance [Inhabitants of Paradise], are often likened to flowers because of our nature. Magic circles resembling large blooms, diseases such as Flower Shock [Flower Erosion]... When studying the origins of magic, the nature of these 'flowers' is important. 'Fragrance' is no exception."
"This is a primitive 'Perfume Ritual.' Unlike Elves, our Lyzance's Magic takes on various scents when mixed with certain flowers. The conditions for change are mainly the attribute and the amount of magic released."
However when Will casts Magic:
A foul odor began to emanate from the [Crystal Pot], which still hadn't been infused with magic!
"Cough, cough!?"
"It stinks! Ugh!?"
"What are you doing, you 'incompetent'?!"
A storm of anger and accusation caught me completely off guard, as I had expected to be laughed at as usual.
*This suggests on a biological level, Will’s Sword genes affected his body in such a way that the fragrance of his Wand genes are suppressed or altered
- Charles when exposed to Baal’s blood turned into the equivalent of a Flower Monster.
- Shade using Belledors (Witch’s Flower) in her Berzeme Sique Magic
- Elfie’s and Zeo’s chant for Supreme grade Magic all includes the phrase relating to Flower deceiving the world
Here is a list regarding the terms referring to each species that I have found throughout the series.
The Finn are considered the “species of Light” (as noted in Finn’s own profile). This is intriguing as it is the complete opposite of the Lyzance, as they thrive in darkness and have very good Night Vision, with Dark being the primordial element attribute (as noted in Light Novel 1).
Furthermore, the Lyzance being “Inhabitants of Paradise” compared to Heavenly Invaders “Inhabitants of Truth” likely also has significant meaning in the future.
Lyzance:
- Inhabitants of Paradise 楽園の住人
- Flower Species 花の種族
- Species that thrives in Darkness 闇に強い種族
Finns:
- Species of Light 光の一族
- Little People 小人 (Reference to Finn’s race in Danmachi, the Pallum 小人族).
Heavenly Invader
- Invader from the Sky 天上の侵略者
- Inhabitants of Truth 真実の住人
Elf
- Fairy 妖精
- Long Lived Species 長寿種族
Dwarf
- People of Earth 土の民
In Wistoria Manga Volume 11 Extra Pages, Eliza mentioned some interesting details:
“Changing the subject, have you ever read “Valentine’s Collection of Love Stories”? The chapter about the Elf Allude, who goes by a false name, is especially good. You should give it a read.”
For those who are Danmachi fans, you may have heard of the name “Allude Maximilian” and “Syrene Maximilian” before.
That’s right, Allude Maximilian is infact Ryuu Lion using a false name (Syrene is of course Syr).
This is just a cool reference, nothing else really. Just wanted to show that with Finn, Gareth, Lefiya, Filvis, and possibly Riveria and Ryuu, Omori really loves his Danmachi “children”.
ISTG BRO THESE PEOPLE ARE UNREASONABLE.
Yes zeo vouched for will. AFTER firing a strong ass spell that can kill any other dude. He didn't care if he dies, he only cared cus he lived.
Also fuck that nepotism shit Elfie is a MAGIA FUCKING VANDER. SHE CAN BE UNREASONABLE AND NO ONE CAN FUCKING HOLD HER ACCOUNTABLE.
ALSO IS IT REALLY NEPOTISM IF HE PASSED THE SET REQUIREMENTS TO GET INTO A FACTION? KILLING THOSE DAMN SLIMES.
THEY CAN'T EVEN KEEP TO THE REQUIREMENTS THAT THEY SET FUCKKK.
THEY BASICALLY SAID. You passed the requirements and have proved your worth, but fuck you cus you're different so we're not gonna accept you passing.
