Today i tried Helios cause some redditor told me it has like 1k per day in its peak time, but when i joined it was a totally joke

All servers re dead af. Firestorm had like 78 ppl just looking for mate in pve. I hated how stormforge treated us doin 1 fresh mop every year but this is even more sad and pathetic. fuck u blizzard, fuck u microsoft

I played Solocraft for a month. Here is my review.

Details about Solocraft Server:

3x exp server with 5x exp being exclusive to VIP only.
All content is open to complete and you have to control bots.
Solocraft supports the 1.12 client and the 1.14 client.
The default bot control addon is pretty bad. There is lua errors with 1.14 and you're unable to control bots when dead, unless you download a community made remake.
The server is hosted Europe.
This is a PAY TO WIN server.

Bot access begins from level 1 and you can immediately start a 5 man group to quest.
When you can access dungeons, you can do them as a 10 man, with BRS done as 15 man.
Raiding begins at 60. Bots are automatically geared into Tier 3 bis, while inside raids. To use tier 3 bots outside of raids, you have to purchase VIP.
Population on the server peaked at about 200 people, but average is about 90-120.

Review of the server:

When creating a character you are forced to join the solocraft starting guild.
While initially I found this interesting, it became increasingly annoying because of trolls and randoms people spamming guild chat without zero moderation.
The majority of the server stays within the starter guild and talks via the guild chat. There is a world chat that barely gets used. People who leave the starter guild genuinely keep to themselves.
The world feels very empty as the only people you see is the occasional player with his bot group.

The server has an online store where it encourages you to donate money for points you can spend for gear,
mounts and VIP.
The gear available does not seem to be above T2/AQ quality and the AQ Black Tank is exclusive to the store for 40 euros.
VIP is listed as 50 donation points, which equals 50 euro.
You have to rely on getting VIP to do Naxx and get T3 gear.

Whist looking at the server's website, I went through the forums, there is very little activity.
I see no replies to a lot of posts, ignored suggestions from years ago.
The server is still getting updates and Bugs fixes and majority of the server talk as well as ticket for problems are done by the discord.

The server has a functioning auction house. It's very limited and at times quite overpriced
Even on a small server, stuff will be scalped and then resold for a higher price and a lot of the time, you cannot get what you're after.

The world bosses seem to be controlled by a small number of players with them being farmed constantly by the same people, Sadly, I was not able to get a single world boss kill while on the server.

The server has PVP bot battlegrounds. They can be quite complicated as bots are in BIS gear and work as a hive mind.
Warsong can be pretty long and boring as the bots grab the flag but just focus on killing other bots instead of capping the flag and there seems no way to get the flag off bots.
AV and Arathi are pretty fun though.
There zero world PVP.
The server features cross faction as well.

Summary:

The biggest let downs are how the server is run, the community and what's available could be so much more.
Pay to win with the VIP system is disappointing as well.
Your entire time is spent controlling bots, you don't really get to play your character at all, Gear on your character is basically pointless because of that. I would have liked to see actual scripting for bots in raids.
Would have liked the world to be populated with bots as well so it felt alive.
PVP is lackluster and the community is subpar.

What I like though was the Vanilla experience.
Everything for the most part worked correctly.
Doing quests with bots was actually fun.
Performance of the server was genuinely pretty good.

All in all, I'd say the server is pretty average.
Alot of things could be a lot better and this day and age, you could have your own server with bots and more right on your own pc. Solocraft just doesn't hold up to that.

I give this server a 6/10.

Need a server to introduce new players to classic wow

So I finally was able to convince my friend group to try wow (classic) for a couple of months. However, my original plan of using ascension might not work as I’ve heard that blizzard is cracking down on a LOT of private servers. Three servers were recommended to me as being as close as possible to vanilla wow: Whitemane, Triumvirate, and Elysium Project. I’m looking for any information or recommendations as to what is the closest to classic as possible, but able to give some compromises if not a 1 to 1 exact. Please and thank you all.

WoW private servers are in a rough spot right now. I used to play Turtle WoW too, and I know a lot of people are looking for that old-school MMO feeling again.

So we’re trying something different: building a new MMO from the ground up, inspired by the social, adventurous spirit of classic WoW, but fully our own project.

Peloria WoW - Sneak Peek | Infinite Progression, Custom Systems & Endless Mythic+

We are currently creating Peloria WoW - a fully custom-coded private server built around long-term character progression, meaningful power growth, a player-driven economy, and an endgame without a finish line.

Peloria is based on AzerothCore and the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

Peloria runs through its own custom client (.exe), allowing us to build systems beyond standard server limitations rather than relying on simple workarounds.

Every major system mentioned below was coded from scratch specifically for Peloria. No ready-made modules were used.

The core systems are already implemented. We are now preparing the server for launch.

Our goal is simple:

Your character should never truly be finished.

Whether you enjoy pushing Mythic+, collecting rare gear, improving your build, crafting, trading, or steadily becoming stronger over time, Peloria is designed to always give you another goal to chase.

Soulbinding / Soulbound Progression

Peloria does not use traditional BoE or BoP restrictions.

Instead, we have built a custom Soulbinding system where items can become permanently tied to your character and contribute to its long-term power.

At the moment, there are approximately 9 million items available to be soulbound.

For newer players, soulbinding an item initially grants 20% of that item’s stats permanently to the character. The system scales gradually as you progress deeper into Mythic+ content, allowing your permanent character power to grow further over time.

Every Mythic level retains its original item pool, with items that can be collected and soulbound.

That means every dungeon run, every item drop, and every Mythic push can contribute to your permanent progression.

Mythic+ Beyond Normal Limits

Peloria’s Mythic+ system is built for players who want a true endless challenge.

  • Every dungeon has up to 10,000 Mythic+ levels
  • Mobs at Mythic+ 10,000 currently reach around 50 billion HP
  • Custom integer bypassing allows mobs and bosses to exceed the normal 2.1 billion HP limit
  • There is always a higher key to push, stronger enemies to defeat, and more power to earn

This is not a server where you finish gearing in a week and run out of things to do.

Dungeon Access & RDF

Dungeons have no cooldown timers and can be run repeatedly all day.

RDF can be entered either solo or together with a group, giving players full flexibility in how they farm, level, and progress.

True Custom Cross-Faction Gameplay

Peloria includes a properly custom-coded cross-faction system, not a basic workaround.

Players from both factions can:

  • Group together
  • Run content together
  • Trade with each other
  • Use the follow function properly
  • Progress with friends without faction restrictions

Full Tradeable Item Economy

Every single item in the game is tradeable and can be listed on the Auction House.

The Auction House is fully cross-faction, giving every player access to the same marketplace regardless of faction.

There are zero Auction House fees, allowing players to freely trade, build wealth, and use the market without losing gold to listing or sale costs.

Major Features

Area Auto Loot

Peloria includes a custom Area Auto Loot system.

Simply walk near defeated enemies and their loot will automatically be picked up. The system includes a custom loot filter, allowing you to control what is collected automatically.

This works throughout the game, including for profession materials and other farmable loot.

Area Auto Loot was also specially coded to work properly with group loot.

Retail-Style Transmog System

Peloria includes a fully retail-style transmog system.

Once an item enters your bags, its appearance is permanently saved to your collection. You can then use that appearance for transmog at any time, without needing to keep the original item.

Other Implemented Systems

  • Auto-learn spells — no unnecessary trainer runs
  • Reagent Bank — store materials and craft directly from the bank
  • Custom perk system for every class and specialization
  • Perks that enhance abilities, add new options, and expand the depth of every class and spec
  • A progression structure built around permanent growth and an infinite grind

No Pay-to-Win

Peloria will have no pay-to-win elements.

There will be no paid power, no paid gear, no paid progression advantages, and no systems that allow players to buy their way ahead of others.

The only shop available will be a cosmetic shop, offering visual items only. Its purpose is to help cover server upkeep and development costs while keeping the gameplay experience fair for everyone.

Peloria will never stray from that path.

We are aiming to publish the website and Discord within approximately two weeks.

The server launch is targeted for around one month from now.

TL;DR. The realm is alive and actively maintained. The last ~5 weeks bring a steady stream of updates - new per-character toggles, smarter PlayerBots, better arena/PvP, a faster on-realm AI, and a lot of quiet stability work. A good chunk of it comes straight from player feedback. Short version below.

New player options (opt-in, per character):

  • Emblem upgrades. The Emblem Broker (summon via the Adventure Assistant) converts your lower-tier emblems one step up the chain, so old Heroism / Valor / etc. become the current-tier currency you actually need.
  • Raid encounter skip. A few WotLK "gimmick" fights (Flame Leviathan, the ICC Gunship, Valithria Dreamwalker) are rough solo or with bots. You can opt in and skip a stuck one so your run keeps moving - normal bosses untouched.
  • Ammo-free shooting for hunters / warriors / rogues, and free soul shards for warlocks - no more bag clutter.
  • Vault of Archavon access opt-in, and the Dungeon Master now scales any dungeon, not just a fixed list.

PlayerBots get better:

  • player-summonable standby pool - pull in a bot of any class on demand.
  • Smarter gear (spec-aware weapons, more variety, sensible quality caps), and bots now sit out of the anticheat so they behave naturally.
  • Arena bot-fill: 1v1, solo 3v3, and rated 2v2/3v3 can fill with bots, so queues actually pop.

Local AI chat & moderation:

  • The on-realm AI runs GPU-accelerated, so bot replies are quicker, and the model/endpoint are cleanly configurable. Still 100% on the realm's own hardware - nothing you type leaves the box. Moderation gets friendlier tuning (addon chat and casual talk no longer trip it).

PvP / arena:

  • Weekly arena point reset day is now configurable (and surfaced on the site / FAQ).

Quality of life & content fixes:

  • Plenty of small "keep the content working" fixes so quests, NPCs and older raids behave correctly.
  • AH bot stocks more epics, shaman totem cleanup, auto-revive tweaks, profession / skill-rate adjustments, and more.

Behind the scenes (so you don't have to notice it):

  • A 24/7 watchdog auto-restarts the realm within seconds if anything hiccups, with a safety breaker to avoid restart loops.
  • The backup system is hardened end to end - characters, guilds, arena teams, transmogs and even pending emblem sends are all snapshotted safely.
  • Deploys move to a build-then-release pipeline, so updates ship faster and with far less downtime.

Your characters are yours - no lock-in.

From your account page on the site, you can download any character - or all of them - as a portable file. It is a standard AzerothCore character dump (gear, guild ties, transmog appearances, reagent bank, per-character settings, friends list and all), reinsertable on any AzerothCore-compatible realm. If you ever want to run your own server, or simply move on, you take your character with you. The whole project is open source from top to bottom and built to open doors, not to lock you in.

Most of this is feedback-driven. A lot of it starts as a comment, a DM, or a bug report - the emblem upgrade and the raid encounter skip both came straight from player tickets this week. If something feels off, you want a different default, or a feature that isn't there yet, say so. The realm moves on player input.

Triumvirate-WoW | Post-Launch Update | New Dedicated Server, 994 Peak, Unified Client

Hello!

Triumvirate launched on June 6, and the last few weeks have been a lot. We hit a peak of 994 concurrent players, pushed a bunch of fixes and updates, and also ran into the usual launch growing pains: crashes, freezes, client inconsistency, and performance issues during peak hours. The launch was not perfect, we’ve been trying to tackle the problems directly.

The biggest change: Triumvirate has moved to a new dedicated server.

New server specs:

• AMD Ryzen 9 9950X

• 126 GB RAM

• Player cap increased to 3000

The migration is complete and there’s a lot more headroom now. Peak hours, crowded zones, dungeons, raids, and world events should feel much smoother compared to launch week.

• We also put together a unified Triumvirate client. A good portion of early issues came from people using different 3.3.5 clients from different realms, with different files and random inconsistencies. The new client should cut down on crashes/freezes and make setup a lot less annoying.

For anyone who missed the earlier posts, Triumvirate is a level 60 WotLK-based realm that combines Vanilla, TBC, and Wrath content into one progression path instead of following the normal expansion order.

Some of the main features:

• Level 60 cap with Wrath class design

• Vanilla/TBC/Wrath content scaled into one endgame

• Mythic+ dungeons with custom affixes and weekly vault

• Beast Invasions and world events

• Reworked specs and custom class changes

• Custom tier sets, legendaries, crafting, and catch-up systems

• Selectable XP rates: 1x, 2x, or 3x

• A lot of QoL without trying to turn the server into instant-endgame

If you tried it early and bounced because of client issues or performance, it may be worth giving it another look now. If you’re new and want a Wrath-based custom realm that isn’t just another stock progression server, come check it out.

Hey everyone,

My name is Rayon. I was the main developer of the former NostrumWoW project.

After everything that happened there, and after the previous admin decided to step away, I want to make something very clear: Stormrage is a new independent project, led by me, and it is not connected to the old project.

Before NostrumWoW ended, there was already a separate idea in the background: a progression server with the same spirit of level-bracket progression, but built around Vanilla instead of Wrath. In my opinion, level progression brackets make even more sense in the Vanilla world, where zones, dungeons, professions, world PvP, and early-game content can stay relevant for much longer.

Stormrage is being developed on a new core, built to work directly with the modern 1.14.x client. We are not using a proxy layer. The hardest technical part is already working: the client connects and functions properly with the core. The next stage is focused on bug fixing, in-game testing, polish, and stability.

Our current development plan is:

- 2026: Internal Tests / Closed Beta

- 2027: Open Beta, with no fixed release date yet

All dates are development targets and may change depending on testing results.

Some planned features include:

- Vanilla realm using the modern 1.14.x client

- Progressive level brackets, such as 1-19, 20-29, and beyond

- Quality-of-life improvements while preserving the classic feel

- Heroic dungeons

- Hardcore mode

- Dual Spec

- More features to be revealed over time

I also want to be transparent about the direction of this project. I want Stormrage to follow a different path from the previous project, with clearer leadership, better structure, and decisions made with long-term stability in mind. The goal is to build something that can stay online, grow carefully, and avoid the problems that hurt the old project.

This roadmap is only the beginning, and feedback is welcome.

Idea of server Vanilla+wotlk+MoP

Hello and good day.

I have an idea for a unique "server" which would allow players play all expansions until MoP and even have certain level of interaction with players who are doing vanilla content (for example), while playing MoP.

The thing is, how many of you would be interested on play in a server which allows players play with the same character in all those expansions, and play in any moment whith players doing content of previous expansions, but without being overpowered due the equipment and level they have for playing newe expansions?

I ask because I do not want to write a lot of most of you say "I would not like such idea of server". 😅
