Whats best order to play the series?

I only played Wolfenstein 3d on my old ass PC back, played many times maybe finished it 20 times . I'm curious on story, are all games connected to each other? What's each games replayablity? I'm more into release order gameplay but If they don't matter story vise I'm just gonna pick by art style

Also I'm new to controller , played many hours on keyboard, do you reccomend keyboard or controller? Tried cod on gamepad and I suck

Why do people say the new colossus is hard?

Started playing through the series last week. Played TNO, TNB, and now im on TNC. I saw a lot of posts saying how TNC is the hardest game to where its almost unfun. I disagree fully, I think its the easiest game by far. The first 2 games I played on normal, I had to bump TNC up to hard and its still easier than the others.

Armor piercing bullets shred regular enemies, and the laserkraftwerk one shots the armored mechs. I always do fights loud and I've only had to retry a fight once. Did they tweak the difficulty in the last 8 years or something?

Which 1946 assault rifle is better? old blood or new order?

I know they are both the same rifle but Im asking because there's 2 different versions of the rifle from both games. The old blood one has a fast fire rate with a option for burst fire. But the new order has a chugging fire rate with a option for single shot. Out of these 2. Which was did you like more?

Anyone feel bad for the guards when listening to their conversation 🥲

I’ve been playing colossus for a few days now really enjoying it but one thing I love and hate is the guards dialogue if you just sit there and listen

I’m on the Venus mission right now and I was listening to guards talking about how beautiful the view was on venus and how the guard wants to audition to act in the movie

I love the little details in this game it’s sad listening to them cause I know I’m going to brutally murder them in 5 seconds Lol

Brilliant Yet Brutal: My Time With Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

I had a great time playing Wolfenstein II The New Colossus, but it was very hard. When I finally rolled the credits, I felt less like an action hero and more like someone who had just survived an absolute blood bath. It was a phenomenal experience, but make no mistake about it. It's brutal, unforgiving, and frustrating, at times. Here is what it was actually like to push through one of the most demanding FPS campaigns in recent memory. I'm no stranger to first-person shooters.

The biggest shock to the system hits right in the early hours. For a huge portion of the game, BJ Blazkowicz’s maximum health is capped at an abysmal 50 HP. In typical modern shooters if you take a couple of hits, you can duck behind a wall for a few seconds, and then just wait for the screen to stop glowing red. Your health will go back to normal, and you're good to go. However, Wolfenstein II The New Colossus doesn't do that. It uses a hybrid health system where you can overcharge your health, but it always depletes, which means that armor is the only thing that stands between you and instant death.

Because of that 50 HP cap, enemies will tear through your health bar before you even realize that you're taking damage. You can go from full health and partial armor to lying flat on your back very quickly. I lost count of how many times I walked into a room feeling confident, only to get shredded by an enemy that I didn't see coming. The game gives you massive, dual-wielded automatic weapons and a heavy metal soundtrack that practically begs you to sprint into the center of the room and spray bullets. If you play it that way, you'll die over and over again. Believe me, I learned that lesson the hard way.

In The New Order, running and gunning worked, but not in The New Colossus. I had to play the game much differently, in comparison. It looks like a run-and-gun shooter on the surface, but under the hood, it demands cover shooter discipline. The level design is open and multi-tiered. If you leave your flank exposed for even a second, an enemy commander will call in reinforcements. If a Commander spots you, an alarm rings, and the game floods an area with endless enemies until you hunt down and kill the Commander. I learned very quickly to crouch-walk through the start of almost every room, taking out Commanders with silent hatchet throws or suppressed pistol shots before initiating an open firefight.

Anyone who has finished this game knows exactly which part almost made me throw my controller across the room. I'm talking about the courtroom mission. You start the fight with minimal cover, enemies pouring in from high and low angles, heavy units pushing closing in on your position, and almost no breathing room. I spent over an hour on that single room alone. It felt like a test of raw patience and trial-and-error memory. When I finally cleared it, I didn't even celebrate. I just exhaled a breath I felt like I'd been holding for twenty minutes.

With all that frustration, why didn't I just drop the difficulty down to "Can I play, Daddy?" or abandon the game entirely? The answer is pretty simple. When everything clicks, Wolfenstein II The New Colossus is absolutely brilliant. The story is absurd, emotional, and dark. There are some really good characters as well. The gunplay itself, the weight of the weapons, the crunch of the hit feedback, and the satisfaction of landing a perfect dual-shotgun burst feels incredible. Wolfenstein II The New Colossus demands your attention and it punishes you for rushing into combat. Finishing it was a battle, but looking back when the credits rolled, I’m glad that I stuck it out.

Everyone knows that this 100% will happen – the axis getting fully crushed – but what would the Cold War be like, and what type of stuff would the USSR and USA make

Is Wolfenstein Youngblood worth playing after TNC?

Curious to know if Youngblood is worth a playthrough at all..? After I finish The New Colossus I’ll have beaten all 3 of the newer ones, and I’ve enjoyed all 3 so far. Also, is Youngblood a sequel to TNC or what?

I didn’t know Wolfenstein was this good 😭

I loved Freedom Fighters growing up, and Wolfenstein has scratched that same itch for me. I also played Indiana Jones and the Great Circle before this, and MachineGames absolutely nailed it.

Which Wolfenstein game is your favourite?
