Mom to a 9-month girl. Building the pregnancy/postpartum app I wish I had. Looking for beta testers (MY DAILY DOULA)❤️

Hi everyone, I'm a mom to a 9-month-old. Pregnancy was hard, but postpartum has been the real beast. Some days its brain fog, some days I barely recognize myself. Building something for PPD while living it felt like the only way through. ❤️

My Daily Doula (www.mydailydoula.com) is a pregnancy/postpartum product that loops your partner into the journey so you're not carrying it alone. My husband wanted to help but never knew how. Della, the care companion bridges that gap and checks in on the whole family. Plus there's reminders, mental load sharing, baby sleep tracking, and shared to-do lists.

Why I built it:

  • The biggest pregnancy apps are built by men? No shade, but that's a real gap in understanding what women actually need.
  • Parenthood isn't a solo sport, yet most tools are built like it is.
  • Birth is one of the hardest, most evolutionarily innate things a body does. We deserve better support systems for it!

I'm a lawyer by day, building this in the hours after my baby's asleep. I'm a mom too, so I'll be around to hear what you think and will fix any bugs as soon as I am able to. 🙏

Try it: www.mydailydoula.com. It's free, and if you know a mom-to-be or new parent who'd want this, send it their way.

P.S. I hope this post reaches users, regardless, I will keep trying because it's important to put good things out in the world ❤️😊

Your founder reflections

I really appreciate this community and value peoples takes in here. I have come to find that for me, more than anything, entrepreneurship is about self reflection and self development. And making money and building a business of course, but also all the learnings.

What have been some of your reflections and learnings over the years?

A highlight of mine (may not apply to your experience, this has been mine)

- Keep it in the family. I only start any new business ventures with my husband from now on. Have been burned too many times by others and others may have been burned by me as well, by all means. I feel like everything we do is for our family, so I'm not involving others in that.

Hope some of you want to share yours!

My First Yes❤️

A few weeks ago, I decided to stop waiting for agency work and start building something of my own.

This week I signed my first direct client as a Virtual Assistant and Social Media Manager.

It's only a few hours a month just 3 hours a month , but knowing someone chose to work with me directly feels incredibly rewarding.

I'm especially passionate about supporting women-led businesses, and I can't wait to get to the point where I'm partnering with three or four incredible founders each month. Right now, I'm enjoying the process of building one relationship at a time, doing great work, and creating space for what's next.

For those who've built service-based businesses, what did the jump from your first client to your next few look like?

Would anyone be interested in SOP services?

hey, I'm 23f and I wanna help businesses through freelance. I do SOPs and workflows and knowledge hubs but I tried on linkedin and it’s not working. It’s taking too long to reach people who actually need it

So would anyone here be interested?
