An AEW Women's Casino Gauntlet has not been announced for All In London yet. Do you think there should still be a Women's Casino Gauntlet at Wembley Stadium?

The Final Chapter at Korakuen

Over in the sweltering confines of Osaka’s 176BOX this past Sunday, the Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling outfit pared its summer marathon down to a tidy, tantalizing sprint. They call it the Tokyo Princess Cup, a grand 24-woman pageant that spans the dog days of July and August. Now, only two ladies remain standing, and when they meet at Korakuen Hall on the 23rd of August, they will be fighting not just for a summer crown, but for the right to finally slam the door on a ghost.

Neither woman has ever won this tournament, a conspicuous blank space on both of their résumés. But the history between them is as thick as the August humidity.

In one corner, you have Rika Tatsumi, a respected veteran who has chased this particular chalice for years without ever getting to taste the wine. In the other stands, Suzume, a veritable hornet of a combatant who, quite frankly, has been the burr under Tatsumi’s saddle for the better part of four years.

Both women punched their tickets to the final by turning back the clock on a pair of earnest youngsters from the debut class of 2023. Tatsumi had to absorb a thunderstorm of elbows from a game rookie named Toga before uncorking a maneuver known to the trade as a Twist of Fate, followed swiftly by a Missile Hip—a sequence that sounds like an exotic cocktail but hits like an unexpected tax bill.

Suzume, meanwhile, was dragged into deep waters by a persistent sophomore named HIMAWARI. She survived the ordeal only by scaling the ropes to deliver a face-crusher, wrapping up the afternoon’s business with a finishing move she calls, appropriately enough, "Ring a Bell"

There is a beautiful, brutal symmetry to it all. Suzume is no longer the wide-eyed kid hoping to make a splash; she is an established contender standing between Tatsumi and the one prize that has always eluded her. Tatsumi, meanwhile, is determined to rewrite a history book that insists she must lose to her former protégé.

They do not need the 13th Tokyo Princess Cup to tell the world who they are. The ink on those reputations is already dry. They only need it to tell us who wins.

My Portraits of NWA Women

Hey all! I’m one of NWA’s official photographers. Over the weekend I posted some action photos of the women’s roster from recent episodes of NWA POWERRR. I recently had one of my portraits publish in PWI, so I thought I’d share some portraits I've done. Hope you like em!

More of my work: www.remyadams.com

Also, if you’re interested, you can catch NWA POWERRR on Comet on Saturdays and on the CometTV website on Sundays.

Edit: I didn't include shots I had publish in PWI ... I forgot, they might be a little risqué.

Bayley participates in the Ice Bucket Challenge in support of Rebel

Clearly, many wrestlers views themselves as part of one big family, regardless of era or promotion. Maybe wrestling fans can share the same mindset?

Is Tony Kahn Wasting a Golden Opportunity With the Women?

I’ll be the first to admit I wasn’t totally sold on Mercedes Moné vs. Willow Nightingale at first. But their recent work, especially that contract signing, completely won me over. The crowd energy is right there, which makes it even more frustrating that Tony Khan is falling back into his worst booking habit: building a feud up, then letting all the heat evaporate right before the pay-per-view.

We saw this exact same pattern with Toni Storm vs. Mercedes. You had two massive stars, but the TV build in the final weeks felt completely passive. TK keeps defaulting to generic short interactions with no advertisement instead of giving the women the kind of chaotic, multi-segment storylines he routinely books for the men’s title scene.

Look at the patterns on television every week. The women’s division is almost always relegated to a single segment, usually crammed into the same late-show quarter hour, and rarely gets more than 5 to 10 percent of total weekly TV time. While male rivalries get to main event Dynamite, feature in backstage angles across multiple hours, and close out the night with major angles, the women are rarely trusted to carry the show's biggest hooks.

What makes this even worse is that AEW is sitting on a massive open goal right now. WWE’s booking of their women's division has taken a huge step backward, facing widespread criticism for leaving major stars off pay-per-views, rushing creative, and cold-booking their world titles. Hell they had Liv brag about not defending a title for 100 days for no reason. AEW has a genuine chance to capitalize on fan frustration and prove they offer the superior product for women’s wrestling. But instead of seizing the spotlight, TK is making the exact same mistakes.

If AEW wants this match to feel like a true stadium-level co-main event at All In, the next two weeks need a real shot of intensity.

For next week, Mercedes shouldn't just get a 2 minute backstage segment or random quick match. Give them the kind of sprawling brawl we’ve seen in other intense feuds. Let them do a whole show brawl like we saw with Lesnar and Taker, Ronda/Becky/Charlotte, Austin and Rock. Have Willow on the hunt for Mercedes after what she did last week. let it spill through the arena, and stretch it across several segments throughout the night to show these two genuinely cannot be contained.

Then on the go-home show, give them the kind of big closing promo segment letting them both give passionate promos that ends with them getting pulled apart by cops/security and screaming at each other really emphasizing how intense this feud is.

Willow vs Mercedes has a real Bayley vs Sasha NXT vibe and could leave a similar impact if done right but TK needs to prioritize it and seize the opportunity before him.

If management won't dedicate the TV time to make this feel huge, Mercedes and Willow ought to take matters into their own hands on social media. Using their Instagram accounts to build unscripted, in-character heat would force the company's hand and build the urgency that television is currently missing. Hell they can do their own brawl and film it on Instagram.

Am I missing something here, or is TK letting another top-tier women's feud lose its momentum right before the biggest show of the year?

Since The Smackdown Women’s Roster is a bit too bloated. These are the women that I would personally want to see moved to Raw either due to being stale, stagnant, or being heavily underutilized.

I know that Roxanne Perez has been predicted by many people to win this year’s women’s MITB, but she has no momentum and despite being featured prominently on TV, she’s booked like a perennial loser. I think WWE will have Roxanne win and cash in on Liv on the same night
