Switching to MnK from controller was hard. Switching to Wooting was easy.

Being a 20+ year controller player, switching to mouse and keyboard has been quite the journey. Started with my OG Logitech, went into the Razer ecosystem, switched to glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE (beautiful but terrible software and found it hard to type), and finally landed on my endgame keyboard with the 60HE V2. Loving it so far!

I went stock aluminum case and split spacebar. If you had an extra $100, what would you mod first, or keep as is and use the $ elsewhere?

Just Joining the Wooting Fam

I have some gravastar ufo switches to try out - also thinking about doing a metal case for it - what metal case do you guys thinks the best ? I was looking at the GT80 - sorry I’m new to the whole wooting/keyboard modding scene

Edit: forgot to mention how good this keyboard feels - just wish the switches were a little more “clicky”

Most recent kb: huntsman v3 TKL - the 80HE feels way better imo

Oh also does anybody know of good translucent red or smoked black keys with kana on them still ?

Peak

The artist behind our latest keycap and deskpad collection just sent me a few pics of his setup with his Wooting. This has no business going this hard.

What are some good silent switches for the 80HE?

I'm very new to keyboard modding and planning to get a Wooting 80HE + KBDfans GT-80 and MK Black on Grey PBT keycaps. The only thing I have not settled on is the switches. I know I want silent switches, but I do not know which ones to get. I have heard samples of the following switches:

  1. Off Studio X TNT Six Realms Silent
  2. Outemu Peach Silent
  3. XVX Whisper HE/EC
  4. Haimu Silent HE
  5. Gamakay Phoenix V3 Magnetic Silent

The best-sounding ones for me were the Outemu Peach Silent and the XVX Whisper HE/EC. Also, they are the only ones I can really get in the EU from a reliable seller. So my question is: do you know any other good silent switches, or are the five I mentioned above the only ones?

New gateron silent switch

Anyone buying and would be kind enough to do sound test comparison?
The price is a bit steep for me to buy and try out.

Have tried the following so far and found the Outemu Peach Silent to be the quietest

  1. Off Studio X TNT Six Realms Silent
  2. Outemu Peach Silent
  3. XVX Whisper HE/EC
  4. Haimu Silent HE
  5. Gamakay Phoenix V3 Magnetic Silent

sticky rice v2 vs WS Dash vs Jade pro

sticky rice v2 vs WS Dash vs Jade pro. which one has the absolute most low pitch thock because i really cant choose because the dash sounds so damn good in the vid from jaeky but in other comparison videos from other people the sticky rice and jades sound better. Or is there another thocky switch that beats all of them ?

Wooting TKL – am I the only one still waiting for this?

Is anyone else still waiting for a proper TKL Wooting keyboard with HE + Rapid Trigger?

I actually created this Reddit account just for this topic. I still haven’t bought a Wooting keyboard, even though I think the products are technically excellent, simply because there is no true standard TKL option.

I’ve been waiting since around 2020, when Wooting became more established in the gaming space. Since then, multiple products have been released, but this one obvious gap is still there.

Quick overview of releases:

  • Wooting One – 2017 Q2
  • Wooting Two – 2018 Q3
  • Wooting 60HE – 2022 Q2
  • Wooting Two HE – 2022 Q4
  • Wooting 60HE+ – 2023 Q1
  • Wooting 80HE – 2024 Q3/Q4
  • Wooting 60HE v2 – 2025 Q4
  • Wooting TKL – where?

From my perspective:

  • 60HE → too compact
  • 80HE → not a true TKL, more of a hybrid layout
  • Two HE → full size

What’s missing is a proper standardized TKL with HE + Rapid Trigger.

And that feels odd, because TKL is still one of the most common gaming layouts overall, especially in FPS and competitive gaming where mouse space + full functionality matters.

I’ve seen estimates that roughly 35–45% of gamers prefer TKL layouts, which is a significant share of the market.

Any update on black zinc case for the Wooting 80HE?

They said they'd post an update after 6 months, but that was almost 10 months ago.

EDIT: To be clear, I don’t own one, I want to buy one.

Coiled cable issued

Hi, I just got my first wooting and along with it a coiled cable.

I was just wondering why when I plug in the cable via my USB C port on my motherboard, it does not work, I have only been able to get the cable to work through the USB-C to A adapter which seems a bit wobbly. Has anyone had this issue?

I assume it's something to do with the length of the cable, causing a power draw issue.

Thanks!

My first wooting 60he v2

Optimum case

Geon RAW HE Switches

GMK Chaos Theory keycaps + alt mods + spacebars + extensions

Feels and sounds amazing for being an he keyboard. I come from r/MechanicalKeyboards so I'm used to mechanicals and chasing the perfect feel and sound and have to say I'm super happy with how this turned out.
