Really happy with the final piece.
Named models?
What’s the likelihood of us getting any named models in 40K this edition?
Help
Hey did a kitbash of my dark apostle with the sat terminator as leader of my army for tabletop sake should I run it as a dark apostle or soemthing else?
Rhino update
Progress on my Deimos pattern rhino from a few days ago. I added chains and impurity seals, plus the partial chaos start to the back door. Paint job is mostly done I think. A bit more on the candles and too hatches to go. And of course the doors are pending.
Planning to add a decal to the front at least and maybe some runes in other spots where I can fit them.
Rhinos joined the army!
Hello!
Just finished painting few Rhinos for my force. First one is Deimos Pattern Rhino, I tried to paint it as close as possible to a reference from a black book (unfortunatly, a fire on the bolter was a bit too much for me)
Second one is a Mars Pattern Rhino, an Ebay rescue. Had to chop off strange bits, and strip the paint with IPA, but it was so thick, that probably you can still see it. It also has a land laider door on the top hatch
My first Word Bearer! Any thoughts on scheme feedback or basing ideas?
Coming from having a Dark Angels an Tyranids army to filling my Chaos niche after having read Apostle, and pushing my painting skills to trying several new-to-me techniques.
Had a lot of fun with this, though at the rate it took me to paint this I'll have a playable force sometime around 12th edition...
Open to comments, constructive criticism, and most importantly; ideas for basing!
Pølse Ost, Terminator Demagogue
Made a terminator demagogue/dark apostle inspired by arcorigate on IG.
He’s a terminator librarian body with old cataphractii arms, a helbrute head with CSM horns and crozius, and the brazier from Abaddon’s base.
Not sure if to paint him red or grey…
Also yes the name is silly hehe
“Go meet Your Gods”/ “Penitence”
I know these pics aren’t the best, but I’ve been working towards this diorama for awhile now. It’s a scene where the leader of my wip homebrew warband breaks away from the Word Bearers, where he served as a personal guard to an ancient Apothecary. He carried out many cruel and unusual orders under them, and eventually it wore him down to this breaking point.
Any recommendations for a Word Bearer Chaos Lord head?
Demon Prince Nearly Completed
I'm very proud of this one. Eager for feedback.
Is Erebus even... human?
So I have been thinking about this for a while now. I would like to talk about it with some other word bearers.
From what we know from his origin story, Erebus kind of just 'appears'. His origin story is a cuckoo stealing identity spiel, and it's not fully explained what the real individual who steals the identity of this Erebus is/was beforehand.
Erebus seems to constantly know how to play the bigger picture even though he is supposed to be a 'mere' astartes.
Is it possible that Erebus is some metafysically trancendant demon instead? A messiah of Tzeench, or a conduit for chaos regardless of his alligiance? Could it be he was sent specifically to bring forth chaos not as a human, but as a demon?
I have only read First Heretic and Betrayer, Lorgar's own Primarch book, and the first 5 HH books.
I'm curious to what you guys think.
My first painted mini is about complete
I spent the majority of my time in this hobby deathly afraid to jump in the painting side of things, but I finally decided to start working on my pile of shame and I will say I’m quite proud of myself. I obviously still have to apply to Word Bearers logo(how the hell do I use transfer sheets)and I’m gonna do some other runes decals, and maybe later attach some seals or something. But for the most part I think I’m happy with where he’s at. I didn’t end up doing highlights cuz I don’t really understand it and I was worried about butchering my paint job, maybe one day. I learned a lot just by finally jumping directly into it, foremost that doing trim is just as bad as everyone said it would be, and that I mostly DEFINITELY shouldn’t have painted my red panels before doing my trim. I’m currently working on my second model, this time I’m trying a dry brush of leadbelcher over the entire thing before I start base coats.
Constructive criticism appreciated!
