What does the word bearers army look like I know they’re a lot more demon heavy and summoning ritual stuff but what units would you get like if I wanted to get a 500 or 1000 point army to start off with what would I be looking at the CSM combat patrol, and some demons? Or maybe like just some CSM possessed and a bunch of demons what is like the good starting point for word bearers?

Recently picked up the 3rd edition rulebook cause a friend and I want to do midhammer, and I've got the 3.5 edition chaos space marine codex.

In it, you can take both a chaos lord and a chaos lieutenant

Now, to my understanding, a Dark Apostle leads a host, but tactical decisions are made by the senior war-captain called the Coryphaus

Would it thus be better to use the chaos lord to represent the Coryphaus and the lieutenant for the Dark Apostle?

Or is it better the other way around, with the lord as the Dark Apostle & lieutenant as the Coryphaus?

I know that we've already seen him as the orange flaming daemon with horns but to me that interpretation doesn't really fit him too well, and considering how much GW likes to retcon stuff, I can see that design being changed when he comes back.

So first of all, considering that he's a man of words more than a fighter (even tho he's really strong in 40k, I think he's still stick to his old ways) and considering that he's Chaos' "favorite boy" in the 41st millennium, I think chaos would allow him to choose his appearance (unlike Mortarion or Angron who have been forced into their daemonic forms for example), and so he would probably choose to stay pretty human, or at least not look too threatening and menacing to the average human. I mean, I don't think he would choose to look like a giant flaming daemon with wings, horns, spikes, but more like a warped and twisted human, because the Word Bearers' primary tactic is to convince and convert. I can see him wearing a robe over his armor for example, to look less threatening, and having a scepter as his main weapon (which has already been confirmed).

What do you guys want to see for his design ?
