How can I remove the pipe while keeping the stem and black base connected? (It is imperative the cylinder remain unharmed)

Hey everyone! I may try my hand at a custom 4" Dixie Kong figure with Diddy as the base. Does anybody know of any good 3d models for her head? Preferably one that's free, but all suggestions are welcome, including any tips or tricks from those of you with more customs experience. Thanks!

I didn't put paper mario because I think they are in another universe and mario&luigi series because they were too many haha

Here are some photos of the head articulation actually in action. I felt kinda like a dick not giving information on how I did it, but I only didn’t say how I did it because I did a lot of stupid things throughout the process that turned out to be a waste of time (like filling the body with modelling clay and jamming some fucking Bebop figure’s disembowled plastic hand into it for some reason). Ultimately though, I felt I owed it to explain the parts which Were necessary.

So basically I pulled the head off (with help from some hot water), and cut into the square joint of the figure’s head. Once I was far enough I drilled a hole inside. I then took a Goodsmile Nendoroid stand rod and put it into the body of the figure before sculpting Milliput all around it so that it would stay in place. (I even made the missing neck cuff spike in the process)

Finally I jammed the joint inside the head and voila! I was done! (On the technical side that is)

I still need to paint the milliput, and I’m currently in the process of painting most of it green to make it his neck, while I would need to paint the spike white. Thoughts?

Iwatta's death has reulted in Nintendo becoming completely corprate. Like in Ultra Smash. That is an early example which has carried over to today "If it is not fun why bother" (Reggie). Paid subscriptions, stripping away features, less charm, over pricing, drip feeding (like Mario golf Super Rush), game key cards, bricking for modding, and not listening to fans. I had the ingenious idea the other day to finally make Bowser’s head articulated. Pls do NOT ask how I did this, it’s a long story and one I’d rather forget. I also used milliput to cover up the mess I left, and also make that spike on his necklace that was missing because of the sculpt. I actually plan on painting the huge slab green to match his neck. Not sure what to do about the big gap in his shell though, filling it will hinder the articulation.
