Looking for someone to make a map, 15k x 15k
Hi, I'm looking for an expert to make this island-type world for me, as I don't know ANYTHING about how to use it.
I'm looking for:
- Mainly flat terrain, with small elevation changes for most of the island, to build MASSIVE cities
- Gets more hilly and mountainous nearer the back side, with a Scandinavian-esque forest you'd find in Sweden and Finland
- At least one big peninsula jutting out on the flat side, sort of like Denmark
- Idk if you can change the biomes, but if you can, I guess sort of like a snowy plains, or something like Sweden and Norway.
Make the top portion hilly, mountainous, and forested, and the rest mostly flat enough for building.
I hope this isn't too much to ask; if so, I'm really sorry!
Im going to be honest. Im completely at a loss here. World height cut off at 320
So, I literally JUST exported a map the other day with Zero issues. But now the terrain doesn't generate above 320.
1.20.1 version of minecraft and worldpainter format is 1.19-1.20.4..... absolutely no idea why im having issues all of a sudden. Any advice?
Custom Island World
Built with a friend of mine during a Minecraft Phase 3 years ago. Still in love with the fortress. Map was made in Worldpainter.
How do I fix a heightmap?
I'm working on building a Roshar-inspired survival world where it can have all of the overworld biomes on essentially one island shaped like Roshar (with maybe an isle of berk somewhere off the side if I can figure out this heightmap first).
HOWEVER, every time I try and use this the slope into the ocean is super drastic as well as the edges of rivers and lakes. The heights of plains and deserts also isn't consistent.
Does anyone have any tips on how to use cotamap to edit this or make the process faster in worldpainter?
Thanks!
Spent a good amount of time on a 12k x 7k world that’s meant to be a map for a few civilizations.
It’s extremely small, or my cities are too big, easy to confuse. I am wondering if I should redo the thing but I am scared of going bigger than that. What should I do?
What do you think of my Minecraft map?
Hey everyone! 👋
I made this realistic Minecraft map and I'd love to hear your opinions. What do you like, and what should I improve?
The map is available to download my patreon page , so if you try it, I'd really appreciate your feedback.
Thanks! ⛰️🌲

Himalayan style peaks
I tried making himalayan peaks and ridges for the first time but it didn't work out very well since it was my first time trying to make it.
bedrock world converted from java Worldpainter world animals not spawning.
So im making a bedrock realm for me an my buddys with a custom map made by me. and animals aren't spawning. Ive been using bedrock to play test it (using Chunker to convert it) and didnt find the results I wanted but then when it was tested on Java it worked wonderfully. I tried Chunker (as said before). Ive used UMT (Universal Minecraft Tool) and it still hasn't worked. Is there a setting im missing in the export menu, or Another conversion application I could use. Or is there just no way to get animals to start spawning in bedrock?
Can Someone Explain Map Creation?
First off: I'm trying to make a map that takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to minecraft walk across. 100,000 by 100,000 blocks.
How do the Dimensions translate to blocks? What does 'blocks (in multiples of 128)' mean? Does it mean: for every block I type into the Dimensions boxes, they times by 128 in the real minecraft world?
I guess just explaing thie whole Worldpaint Create New World features and how they affect the minecraft world finally would be really helpful.
(If you've read Earthsea: It's a part of Earthsea, an area including Roke and Havnor. One thing I want to do in this world is travel all the way from Havnor to Roke and feel like it's real. So I want the journey to take roughly three days/30 minutes if i were walking across water, for reference. So roughly 7500 blocks. Of course, since I would be boating, the journey would probably be faster than thirty minutes.)
I love worldpainter. Spent the last two weeks working on a custom cactus oasis biome. (bonus slides of my previous 'sacred valley' biome)

Datapack errors after updating Worldpainter
I updated worldpainter today and tried to export a format 1.21.11 world (i tried a few different options), and then tried to run it in 1.21.11. I get datapack errors when trying to load it into minecraft, and it only lets me use safe mode which cuts off the hight past 320. Before updating, this feature worked fine.
The world has extended height enabled with height range -64 to 1536. Note that the world is script generated, I use wp.getMapFormat().withId('org.pepsoft.anvil.1.21.11').go() (or similar strings for when i tried it with other world formats). Any reason why this might be happening?
